Remember this just like it was yesterday! So many wonderful friends at FBC Atlanta, in the choir and orchestra. Many of these people are now singing in that great "Heavenly Choir" and have gone on before us. As Music Associate and Organist @ FBC Atlanta (yes, those are my notes - trills and all - from the Schantz 4/91 Pipe Organ), it was was a blessed time; an honor and a privilege to be on staff back in 1993! Thank you Lord for the blessing!

I went to FBA in the 1960's when Dr. Roy McClain was pastor before Dr Charles Stanley.

Does anyone know if there was a track playing behind the choir at the time, or was this solely live voices of the choir? I remember these faces very well. I was 17 at the time.

One of the sad thoughts about FBC moving to their new location they left behind that LARGE PIPE ORGAN, and they failed to purchase a LARGE PIPE ORGAN for their sanctuary. What a shame and tragedy.

As an organist, I can't imagine. First Baptist, of all churches, ought to have the finest music around ... just like the above Hallelujah Chorus. What a fine music ministry back in the day.
