  • technique 1. find distant point and centre in frame..... zoom in as far as camera lens allows then take a photo.... now step forward a couple metres and make sure distant point is once again centered, zoom out just a touch, then take next photo...... repeat this process until you find you have walked forward many more metres and camera lens has reached the end of its capability for being zoomed out.... assemble in video editor and stabilize. ta-da

i'll try - its important to break up the video in the editor into manageable sections as the stabilizer only works well if given clips without too many changes in the focus. experiment with lowering and increasing the values repeatedly until you find the compromise that produces stabilzed clips. Then after rendering, apply a timewarp function or something comparable as in software- After Effects OR the free ffmpeg. Do a websearch for motion interpolation ffmpeg online and also antonio roberts hellocatfood has a tutorial. The principle is to force the software to 'invent' frames. Originally all the first few years videos i produced with that effect were made when i discovered that pre- 2019 youtube had an option to slow down videos that you upload, but when you uploaded very fast photo sequences, rather than slow the frame rate it would try to morph all the photos together. I made hundreds of those in the editor then downloaded them to my computer and still havent uploaded the vast majority of em onto my channel. I will one day though.
