You guys gotta have Peter back soon again, a lot happened since and his predictions are turning out to be all right.
Peter was born and raised in Iowa so I can understand why he didn't say anything about Nebraska. But there's a lot of great things happening in Omaha. Check it out!
Whats happening in Omaha ?
Yes, I love that Peter understands Minnesota. The twin cities just resumed passenger service to Chicago. Change is an ordeal. We know it!
It's interesting that Peter called the Twin Cities "the most isolated major metro that we have".
Any chance of getting Peter to sit down for a new interview? The way that geography intersects with each of your specialties always produces neat conversations.
@@GotGracexxxxx Hi David, we might do that.
But we've already hosted Peter for five full Get Rich Education podcast episodes. Most are audio-only.
This video is from Peter's fifth podcast appearance, which was released in both audio and video.
The solution to preventing the dust bowl from happening again is to GEO-Engineer the flat lands in a way that deep trenches are traced along where the water from the snow and rain can be diverted to a pond that will water the farms. Flat lands do not work long term. You have to move the earth and build hills along the road to prevent the dust from smothering the drivers.
Peter focuses on population and neglects natural resources. Minnesota is rich in timber, minerals, and food production. It is connected by direct rail to Pacific ports, Canada, Chicago and by ocean going ships through lake Superior port. If corporate work is replaced by AI, the jobs will be around resources.
Is there a full length video??

@@GetRichEducation thanks!
About a dozen+ companies are exploring virtual reality workplaces. Granted, there's a lot of issues, partly hardware but mainly it's just idiots not grasping VR design. Just needs a Steve Jobs & a Woz to come along...
Peter, please tell that me you are not a Dallas Cowboys fan!
Peter seems to be pretty smart so yes he probably is
This would happen but since woseguy Peter said it, it will now not happen
So what happens when the Ogallala aquifer runs out?
It's a valid question. Though human innovation often seems to solve big problems.
@@GetRichEducation When there is no water, the human innovation is to move. Conserving water is not a politically viable option. Politicians who tell voters hard news are replaced by politicians who tell them everything is fine.
@@steven4315 Right. Any politician that proposes austerity is replaced by the politician that prints dollars instead.
One example of innovation to solve water scarcity problems is how Southern Nevada Water Authority manages Las Vegas' water supply. This promotes population increase in the area.
@@GetRichEducation I've heard Nevada is doing a good job with water management. Not sure if promoting population growth in the area is a good idea.
I kind of hope not, I would not these places to become gentrified and to lose their cultural identity. People moving around based on the economy just seems like it destroys local culture and just creates one generic feel everywhere
Yes, I sure know what you mean. Of course, it's inevitable. Just a few hundred years ago, the United States displaced Native Americans and stripped them of nearly all of their cultural identity, supplanting it with new ones.
Agreed.
This video did not video age well.....
Hello and thank you for the comment! Please tell us more.
South Dakota is full, buh bye
I actually met Peter zeihan at a public swimming pool he was an entitled prick
Oh, how interesting. I'm sorry that it sounded like a less than pleasant experience.
