book binding a obligatory part of waldrof schools! like so many other things in waldorf you get the sense that there is some kind of magic power in doing it

_"some kind of magic power"_ It's called anthroposophy. It's a cult.

Yeah, better to stick with the cult of "learning absolutely nothing practical" in the prison schools.

I miss going to a waldorf school

Hi there, Just a few questions if you wouldn't mind. My name is Ashley and i am from a small country in Africa called Zimbabwe. We have a very small Waldorf school here and i am doing my research to see how happy i am to send my daughter to Waldorf as we are very unfamiliar with advanced/new schooling ideas and tend to be very traditional. It is hard to make this decision against what we traditionally know, which is O'levels and A'levels in a strict school system. Do you socialize with other high school students from more standardized schools? If so how would you compare your intellectual conversation and written work? and do you find in day-to-day situations you are more socially advanced and/or capable? Do you have anything you particularly dislike? I understand this may be your point of view but how does your view of your school and education compare to the majority?

Dont know if you still have questions as its been almost a year- but I went to a waldorf school and would be happy to help with any questions you have

Not sure if anyone here will be able to help me but I'm a public school student currently looking into Waldorf schooling for Junior and Senior year. What would be some good things to think about before enrolling in a Waldorf school?
I'm really scared that I will be held back or won't be able to graduate because I don't have any foreign language yet. Any help?

@Peace Layton It's a public charter, so it's free. I know I want to go into city government and public administration. I will look into unschooling, thanks! I know to me education is about usurping all the knowledge you can and becoming a well rounded person, that's why I think Waldorf is more for me and hopefully it will pull me away from my fear of authority and attachment to grades.

@@leolunchbox4543 I've been going to a Waldorf school since Pre-K, I'm now in my sophomore year. To answer your question,,, there are many students who transfer over in their high school years without much language experience. Usually, you can either start at an entry-level language course or take a different elective (sign language for example) and still have enough credit to graduate.
