With restricted admission, the school has a specific no of candidate they can admit for that program, once the no is filled, they can’t give other people admission so competition is very high among applicants because the school will screen and only admit the best of the best.
For unrestricted, as long as you meet up with the requirements of the program, you will be admitted for that program because the school have the capacity to admit everyone that applied and meet the requirements

I think once you enter your passport number in the system, it will be detected for any further appointment. So, it is advisable to cancel it. You don't want to be denied visa based on some small mistake.

I I'm facing same thing. I'm from Cameroon the only thing you can do is to ask the school to shift your deferral to next semester as far as you you have paid your tuition fee they'll do it. I have been waiting for over 9 months now.

Yes, you will. If not, maybe, January. But, you should get by this year ending

Yes, it takes some time after the interview. Mine took 1 month and 2 weeks. I think that is the average.

I think for some visa types and some countries, it has changed. They now use a waiting system.

I have 8 years study gap after 12th grade pass and admission into bachelor.
During those 8 years, I don't have much documents to show work experience. 1year I was studying in an Engineering college and then dropped out. I had a certificate of participation in a mechanical workshop during my college that year. Then I was doing some part time works to support my family. Cuz I had financial problem. I could show a document of my poor financial status. And I was doing some local household electrical as a self electritian for which I don't have much documents bcz I didn't work for any company .
If I got an acceptance letter from say from a public university in Germany for MS, What will be the chances of getting a visa ?
(My bachelor electrical engineering , my cgpa average . 10th grade very good, 12 th grade average )

Yes that's the trick,I knew that when I wanted to apply for tourist visa,but this doesn't work for reunion visa
Because reunion has 1year ahead booking,e.g I booked may 2021 my appointment is July 2022
It depends on the country you are from. I know it's one year in Nigeria but in Ghana they are still using the appointment Portal and you can get it in three months.

They changed it in some countries and for some visa types. Now, they are using a waiting list system for some visa types.

Every country has their appointment schedule though. Especially when there are a lot of people and more waiting time. In this case they decide to ignore the online appointment booking System. Which country are you from, if I may ask?
