I got my new Penny yesterday and was on my own for most of today so I thought I'd film some stuff and ended up with quite a lot. Mostly self filmed. Song: Bon Iver - Skinny Love
i’m back for this video 10 years later, i’m a college student now and this black and white video with the bon iver has a weird comfort but also sadness too me. I rode my penny board so much as a kid and life was so simple and now that i’ve grown older and faced so much adversity i could only wish to get that feeling again but a slight sliver of that is in an odd core memory with this video. Thank you.
Bravo! Excellent vid! Captures the very essence of the 'Penny' crowd. I wish we could pull away from the name-brands, but 'cruiser' just doesn't have the feel-good warmth of 'Penny' so its stuck. Like band-aid. Nice color theme choices, nice tricks, nice angles, good day man, skate on!
Not really. Standard decks are for technical tricks, penny boards for cruising. Different styles for different days. Penny 22' boards carve so tight, and their ride is smooth. I use one for the park, the other for my campus.
The description said you got it the day before filming this but at 1:22 the back looks pretty torn up. Did that happen in one day? I'm think about getting one and learning how to skateboard but I don't want to spend $100 if its going to get worn really fast.
for people commenting saying how Penny's are for gay look up you're history on skateboarding is if their were no penny then skateboarding today would be very different because penny's/cruisers were some of the first skateboards out in the 70s and earlier ad that's where the first trucks and wheels were created even though they were very basic without them skateboarding would have died out so read up on you're history before you start calling something gay.
I skate with a normal skateboard most of the time but the wheels on a penny are a lot smoother and slightly faster than a skateboard. Pennys are easier to film skating with because they don't make a loud noise and roll over stones easier. Stop hating on videos. If you don't like it, don't watch the video.
no thats just a waste of money, they will get scratched no matter what but its not going to affect the ride it will just have a few scuffed up edges, not worth wasting £$20 just to get used to because the fake ones ride like ass as well so just splash out and come to terms with the fact that it WILL get scratched up very quickly.

yes you do. less with the nickel, so antibump = choose nickel

Buy one for like 20$ and get used to it, because that's when you're gonna scratch it the most. After you get better riding it get the original one

Mate they go like that after about an hour of use, especially if you're doing kickflips and what not

Penny's are for cruising, not for tricks. They'll break easily if you do tricks.
that's not true. i Always do tricks and what happend? nothing. the board doesn't break with tricks. but maybe its because i have flex 3
