Waveform is part of the Vox Media Podcast Network. - Věda a technologie
Can't wait to drive my new Ford E-GTZX2D EV

I honestly love the fact that Waveform video format has become like a niche community of tech fans that gather once a week and appreciate the dumpster fire that can be tech
What do you dishonestly love?
Couldn't have said it better 😂♥️
Amen
your mom@@mavfan1
@@iambear.6526 🔥🔥
Andrew has lots of energy in this podcast. Also he really nailed some jokes. (Specially the "I doubled my point" joke)
Loved it!🔥
Andrew is goated
By 2025 i will start supporting the tesla charging plug XD
Will miss him a lot on the channel when he takes his leave.
Andrew's super funny on the podcast, love having him on it.
Andrew is that guy bro
Could have done with a 4 hour WVFRM podcast this week to fill a hole....IYKYK😅
All I know is I’m not going to be cleaning the house this weekend since I don’t have my usual hours of background noise 🫢😆
lmaooo that would require overworking your employees, I don't think MKBHD is like that
As in LTT?
Lmaoooooo, Marques plays it safe, which I think when catering to a community (tech nerds) that tends to parasocial relationships with supposedly larger than life online people is probably best for your peace of mind
M A D D I S O N
Not touching the LMG situation with a barge pole 😂
You know, not everyone needs to voicing their opinion on everything that happens
Good. We don't need it.
It's a tech show. Not a Yt drama show.
Also when they have that agreement to use other guy clips, why would they talk about it?
I was surprised that they didn’t.
Hands down the best tech pod on the webs 🎉
Really appreciate that it's also in video-form!
I love it when Marques goes: It's Waveformin' time!
And then he Waveforms the whole podcast.
Honestly as a live TV graphics operator I can imagine so many on site sports productions that would really benefit from having these LG TVs
Andrew is showing his funny side more and more every episode
Recipe pages might be structured like that for copyright reason, but as far as I know, the most important reason is to make sure that as you scroll down to find the recipe, they’re able to serve the max number of display ads. Registering those additional impressions goes a long way.
Protip: there's a chrome/firefox extension called Umami that will remove all that filler and show you just the recipe.
I guess I should have clarified more, but yea, I just kind of assume we all understand #1 priority is always to slam you with ads haha
there's also usually just a jump to recipe button right next to the print recipe button, at least for recipes I've searched.
I love to bake and always hated scrolling through online recipies. The Mela app has the greatest feature to get around this. The browser in the app scrubs the website for the recipe and lets you save it
LG will always have a special place for me because they rescued WebOS.
LG's take on WebOs is one of the worst TV operating systems imo.
WebOs in spanish sounds like huevos which means eggs but also testis hehe
@basicallyhuman My main problem with it is the ads. When you spend a thousand euro on a TV I think that it's fair to expect a premium experience. They aren't all that obtrusive, but they shouldn't exist at all on their more expensive models.
@@drachnaSamsung TVs and Android/Google TV also have ads everywhere. What TV doesn't at this point? (PiHole to the rescue)
David's lasagna story was great thanks for the laugh guys 🤣
Also I'm 100% here for the headlines in a hat format.
This was the funniest episode in recent memory. I'm glad I can come for news and info while I work and walk away having nearly peed my pants at my desk from time to time!
Fisker shipped their first 22 units of the Ocean in July
The LG TV part. This is great if you do trade shows or have a booth. That's the best use case scenario I can think of
I really liked david's energy after the nutmeg story. Great pod as always, thanks marques and crew!
This podcast is just getting better and better, all 5 add something so different to each episode and I love it
Love this podcast! Breath of fresh air every time.
Loving these clips at the start of the podcast now, makes me laugh before you even start haha
You guys released on all 3 channels on same time. Good Job. And I need more waveform. I sleep listening to you guys.
same!
I laughed so hard through the nutmeg lasagna story. ❤
I have my theory about it too. 🤭 David was probably in chapter twelve reading how grandma loved having a cup of hot chocolate with a pinch of nutmeg in it while waiting for lasagna to bake and just speed read that chapter so fast that only words "cup" and "nutmeg" were absorbed. 😂 Also you should never question the grandma, right? 😂
Love the hat format! Killing it as usual!
Would be interesting to use the Chrome summary tool on The Onion articles!
The Fisker Ocean has definitely launched, i worked as an intern at the company who produces the Ocean(Magna) and there are cars being shipped to customers right now, also there are quite a few waiting to be shipped of from the factory.
Love the Podcast btw😁
I actually saw one driving in the San Diego area last year.
@@anthonygato407 woah
im guessing stealth wrap and all that jazz?
The fisker ocean is already out (at least here in Europe) as i have seen reviews on CZcams by owners of the car
that LG tv just like a stand fan with a wheels.. I think it's really cool and usable
I have CZcams premium and I love it, the video library might as well be considered infinite so there is always something interesting to watch, it's cheaper than most of the ad free subscriptions for other streaming services, and I have a free music streaming app included 🤷♂️
The big drawback of leaving work early on a Friday is not having this podcast for the commute home :/
I need that briefcase LG TV!!!
sounds perfect to use as a secondary monitor while travelling!!
If I could also store my macbook in the briefcase this would be perfect for traveling.
Okay that lg suitcase is genius since it has a stand
I wish you guys had addressed the LLT situation
I'm here 6 minutes after the video was published without having notifications on. I think I'm addicted, LOL.
The LG briefcase TV is lowkey amazing. It's like a better "sit around the laptop" experience in every way. Heck, maybe you can actually use it as a portable second display for your laptop (I dont know if it has HDMI/DP or if the wireless is fast enough). This seems like almost mandatory packing for family vacations.
We need LG back in the phone arena
He saw that dog in you was by far the funniest comment yet lol
You should definitely do a video on CZcams music/ premium as it's one of the only subscriptions that I view as completely worth it
1 cup of nutmeg is 112 grams which is 1/3rd the LD50 dose for someone weighing 60KG. 3 cups would be deadly.
I am curious why you don't upload a video version to Spotify? They've allowed for full video podcasts for a while now. Is that an intentional decision?
Okay LG hit gold they just need to extend battery life and added stylus support. This is a really cool product! How much memory does it have because it was running applications? Could it read SSD? Could you plug it into a dock?
Well it's about time! I've been waiting for that upload notification to pop up
You guys are the best!
I loooove the cold opens and the bits at the end 🙌🙌🙌
I live for these podcasts
Yes the recipes by themselves are not protected by copyright but a story associated with the recipe is copyrightable. So these website (and cookbooks) will add stories so that no one can just copy the entire thing. You can copy and share the recipe itself.
Just noticed the ICONS blurred in the intro background for the first time, looks so cool!
When Andrew’s says “he saw that dawg in you” that should be a meme 😂😂😂
I always look forward for the post credit scene, feels like the MCU
LG really nevers stops to surprise me. They always make the most unique and outstanding hardware, that suddenly is so extreme, that no-one care enough, and they end up going to waste.
Thankfully, after all these years of reasearch, and the technologies they have developed, even if their products don't sell, they still have the knowledge to make other amazing things.
AAC - Audio Audio Codec. This is what I wait for EVERY FRIDAY
Thanks Adam for your performance of "Gravity". I loved it!
A couple notes, Firstly on the subject of not using your ISP's router, this is possible. Although most ISP's will restrict access using mac address filtering. So you may have to spoof your modem/router's mac address. On the subject of fiber networks being unground, actually most fibers in Canada are installed in the air due to cost. As far as network shortage, again like Marques said, as long as the receiving end has power, you will still remain connected on the internet.
David's Gravity John Mayer remix went really under the radar here 🤣🤣🤣
This podcast is dope and always makes me laugh
Could use the briefcase TV to travel with your console and game on the go😮
I like this format :)
I’m never this early! BEST podcast in the game
That suitcase thing would be amazing at displaying my art to potential buyers.
Hope to see a video of yall using that briefcase soon lol. Looks cool
Nice podcast to keep upto date with first world problems. I do love this channel.
I actually understood 'Headlights in a Head' and was kind of excited about it. ^^
we made it to friday boys!
I can’t unsub from CZcams premium, ad free life is for me !
the LG monitor seems smart for hackathons etc. where you have to bring your own monitor if you want to have additional one (bigger than normal portable monitors)
Loved it. 🥰😍
1st product was 👌
❣️🥰Love from Bengaluru🥰❣️
As a big fan, I Appreciate more of your great deep dives and less car content and interviews in the podcast.
Two trivia ideas, a third question at the end that they havent been able to think about. Second, the marques andrew and david bring their own questions and ask the other two, you get points normally if you get a question right, but you also get a point for each of the other two who get your question wrong, maybe pre trivia finale as an attempt to 'stack' your score before an upcoming finale episode
I love the briefcase TV, perfect for traveling
I saw a Fisker Ocean in the wild a few weekends ago. It was at a stop light near the marina in Long Beach, CA. It looked really nice. It was not camouflaged, looked production.
this is the time of the week when I can drink my coffee and forget about my other problems
the highlight of my week
The power outage cellular option and 4 hr battery backup would be huge down in the southeastern US. In the summer we get so many thunderstorms and heavy downpour. We lose power every 2 weeks in peak summer, and it’s like a 50/50 whether it’s for 5 minutes of 4-6 hours.
And I need internet to work at home. Right now I rely on my laptop batteries and cellular hotspot.
Haha! Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
Some one who needs to look at pdf documents all day on the road would love the LG StanbyME due to the Portrait mode.
I had the Fisker Ocean driving down my street, and saw another one driving around Copenhagen, so they are few but real
3:19 I think I usually first notice that the lights are off tbh as the house is in complete darkness all of a sudden
That LGStanByMe is so cool!!! Wow I would really like one. It’s so smart and cool
I live near Fisker HQ and have actually seen Fisker Oceans on the streets. Actually look really nice.
I think the access to the battery thing also feels worse (along with it being a lock-out rather than an evolving feature) because you might not have paid for the extra/locked-out battery, but you're paying every day you drive the thing to lug around a huge chunk of weight that if you didn't have it in there would mean the car was more efficient.
GET THE SUIT CASE
I’d 100% watch a review lol
I love these guy so much, also David is such a mensch hahahah
im a Comcast employee, it also is a wifi extender when its not being used for cellular
Honestly I feel like that LG suitcase TV could be kinda cool if you were living the van life. You just put your TV away when you're done with it to save space (though at that point why not just use a laptop or whatever, but still :p).
I totally enjoyed headlines and a hat
love the John Mayer edition g shock :)
Around 5:30 , the config they were looking for is "transparent bridge".
Seeing tech ppl talk about cars and knowing nothing is not a new scene...mad respect to Marques to be just like motoring journalists
14:49 That was perfection
The LG 360 comes out in the Blue Beetle movie as the villain tool for something I don't remember.
IDK why people always cringe at a vertical screen. I get it, but this one makes so much sense. could be useful for social media marketers. Bring this to a meeting, set it up on the desk and share your phone screen and everyone can see what you're trying to demonstrate. Having an extra display in a suitcase seems like a very niche but great idea. just saying 'what would it even be used for, watching tik toks?' is really picking the lowest hanging fruit.
Honestly got worried when I was on my commute, I couldn't pull up the latest episode. Whew!
The Fisker Ocean is shipping. The other models were announced two weeks ago, or so.
My friend in San Diego just got his new fisker Ocean delivered a couple weeks ago.
This has great applications, I followed it loosely and saw it was not for sale and then suddenly it shows up, I'm thinking so many things..., impromptu tailgate, camping trips, in the beach at night, on a boat, backyard cookout, in the garage or workshop, post sale register, registration device like when you go vote.....etc etc....Def agree with the guys this is Def DOPE TECH🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌🏽
You nissed the LG standbyme (the orginal on the stand) which i think is even better. But again only has a 3hr battery
I was thinking the same thing about charging to 100%. In theory, you should be able to charge to the reduced "100%" state, and technically the cells not actually being at 100% would help ensure battery longevity. I still don't like software locking, but I wouldn't be surprised if other manufacturers adopt this strategy to incentivise people to buy a new EV and, glass half full, also have the benefits of extending battery longevity.
Honestly I agree with David... $10,000 is a lot of money.... You can buy 5 in a Half Pixel Folds for that money
I don't know about "they would know what router is being used" because the Comcast person told me that my router was old. It was in the market for a couple of months.
If you only get 75% of the battery, and the battery degrades, does that effect you or the software locked part?
That LG portable has webOS so it comes loaded with all necessary streaming apps!
