Makes me happy to hear Aljo recognize the prime window for a fighter, "when it's done it's done, no more $, you can't go back in time and wish you could have taken a fight" self awareness. As opposed to so many wannabe fighters that literally fight once a year, wasting their prime, they literally have no clue that time waits for nobody, it's sad to see honestly, the end of a fighters career is fast and swift, no warnings, and it always comes as a surprise for a fighter that is unaware.
You only see one side of it.

I was annoyed that the UFC pushed Aljo to fight the rainbow poodle when he was clearly not ready. Wish him all the very best in the 145 division and stoked to hear that he’s doing so well mentally and financially 👍🏻

I'm not sure if my perception has shifted, but Aljo has become more likable since losing the belt. He comes across as a relatable guy, down-to-earth and genuine. I could see him transitioning into an analyst role after his fighting career. It's refreshing to hear someone have an honest take.
Definitely your perception if you check any of his interviews he’s always been a cool dude sometimes he tried to sell his fights with opponents but generally kept it respectful

But it still wasn’t a 5 round fight. O’Malley has never been in the last 2 rounds. That’s when Chito gets stronger, that can be the difference.
100% Aljo is right re: takedowns for growing viewership. In self defence, takedowns matter.

Aljo complains about Sean fighting him when he was at his best by then ignores fighting a 1 armed TJ and a rusty Henry.
He answered a question, and it’s the truth. He had no control over those other two. Not to mention people like you will hate on Aljo no matter what he does and says. It’s what you do. It’s clownish, but a lot of MMA fans are like you. No one says Khabib beat a rusty Conor, or that any other fighter won unfairly. Only Aljo.
Too much disrespect giving this kid Kattar instead of someone in top 3 considering that he just lost the belt. Anyway, looking forward to a comeback at featherweight, which actually could be appreciated for once. Win or lose, hope it isn't a DQ win or a weird win...

I 100% agree with him about the Jujitsu thing, with resting on the mat, but it's ironic from him to say that when what he does is stay on someone's back and hold on for dear life.
By his own saying, either he'd be punished by stalling or he wouldn't be winning the fight at all.
