Makes me happy to hear Aljo recognize the prime window for a fighter, "when it's done it's done, no more $, you can't go back in time and wish you could have taken a fight" self awareness. As opposed to so many wannabe fighters that literally fight once a year, wasting their prime, they literally have no clue that time waits for nobody, it's sad to see honestly, the end of a fighters career is fast and swift, no warnings, and it always comes as a surprise for a fighter that is unaware.

If aljo finds success at 145 I can see a Suga rematch in the future at 145 since Sean has mentioned going up for double champ. And aljo claims the weight cut hurt him a lot so it would be an interesting fight !

I would be salty if the UFC pressured me into a title fight while still injured and having a severe weight cut with O’Malley’s camp outright saying on record that they want to fight me specifically when I’m not not at my best, especially for a title fight with GOAT status on the line

I 100% agree with him about the Jujitsu thing, with resting on the mat, but it's ironic from him to say that when what he does is stay on someone's back and hold on for dear life.
By his own saying, either he'd be punished by stalling or he wouldn't be winning the fight at all.
Nonetheless, great interview. He's much likable now than before.

huh ? He said he doesn't care about it, doesn't care about O'Malley, the loss is what it is, could have performed better. Literally said everything and has done everything to lead you to realize he is very clearly over the loss. Dude he didn't even petition for a rematch he immediately was like "eh is what it is, I'm still going to move up to 145 like I said I would" Shot in the dark, but are you a Sean O'Malley fan?
