    I am always shocked seeing Wilt stand next to the PRIME Shaq and somehow IMPOSE himself both by being larger, but also being a legend at the time while Shaq was still making his mark. Wilt was a bigger guy, and I still cannot completely get over it. Seeing the footage of them at 1996 all star weekend iirc... wtf?

    No comparison. Not taking anything away from Shaq, but Wilt wzs in a class all by himself. There are so many extraordinary stories about Wilt that can be verified. Wilt could palm a 16lb bowling ball. His strength was extraordinary. He currently resides on Mt. Olympus. He wats breakfast and lunch with Zeus and Hercules. R.I.P. Big Dipper. Philly Strong!

    When wilt was 15 years old in the 1950s...his friends from school would go to his home and in wilts bedroom... he had 300 lbs dumbbells...according to his friends... i dont know if thats 300 lbs in total or twice that amount in two dumbells but 300 lbs for a youngster of 15 to lift is not a small weight by any means....
    A few years later before he joined the nba Wilt played with the Harlem Globetrotters the Globetrotters doctor of record states he saw wilt pickup two Harlem Globetrotters one in each hand by their teeshirts and hold them well of the ground...
    They both weighed in at well over two hundred pounds each and he said, "wilt could have clashed their heads together!"
    Wilt would have relished the opportunity of going up against Shaq, if he could move close on 450lbs or more like those two Harlem Globetrotters just imagine what he could have done to Shaquille O'Neal who weighed a lot less...

      @@AcousticOlli keep crying bro lol, wilt da real 🐐, none of wilts nba records are fake, all well documented. Shaq for as dominant as he was was only able to amass 3 50 point games whereas wilt got 118 😂

    • @kris9145
      @kris9145 Před 2 dny

      @@AcousticOlli can you imagine shaq playing in the 60s? His dependence on his physical game play would get him fouled out in the 1st quarter lol. I think it's funny how you say stats dont matter then use his "stats dropping" as proof that he isnt good lol. Make it make sense. I dont think you truly understand WHY his career playoff numbers are lower than his career regular season numbers. Its because wilts game evolved over time and his role changed with different teams and coaches. as he transitioned away from being the #1 scoring option of his team to a more "team player" role plus being on deeper teams he had much more success in the post season, so because of these factors he had many more playoff games where his role was not to get stats but wins. Which is when he won his 2 championships playing "better basketball" but not statistically.

    This might have been cut up from an interview talking about MJ, with a clip cut in where he mentions Shaq; I don't have time to investigate but I think that's it.

      Just look up the Conan O'brian Interview with Wilt from 1997 or the Howard Stern interview he did maybe the same year. He was certainly on record of what he thought of a then YOUNG Shaq O'neal. In so many words, he wasn't all that impressed. And he had some criticisms of the big fella. To be fair, this was, again, a young Shaq he was talking about, that hadn't yet become a league MVP and champion.

    I call BS on 600lb bench. If Wilt was 125kg in his prime, that means he benched more than 90% of the WORLD RECORD for powerlifters. Nah man

      Wilt was a one of a kind athlete. He only retired because he was making more money off the court.
      If the salaries were huge back then he could've played until the early 80's.

      Wilts' reputation for being immensely strong is mentioned by several groups, especially in the body building world...
      In the 1970s wilt had an unknown deadlift, but the record was around 800 lbs, and Wilt said, "he could lift it and would for $10,000 dollars. "...
      A few people considered taking him up on it but were talked out of it by other body builders and weightlifters because they said " he could probably do it!"
      Even Arnold Schwarzenegger said, "he was a beast in the Gym"!
