I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die? Why do they come to me to die?"
I was watching an interview with Ed O'Neill and he briefly talked about Wayne's World. Basically said, he never really watched it and wasn't very proud of it--thought he could have made it funnier. He really needs to watch his clips because they are quite possibly my favorite parts of the two movies.
I used to have Glens entire monologue memorized and walked around reciting it to people when I felt the timing was right. . . why do they come to me to die? why do they come to me to die?
Glenn is my spirit animal. I feel his angst within my bones, my soul even! Disgust for humanity yet still maintaining a grace through a sense of humor.
This man. This great man. Also a humble man. He once played the great man, Al Bundy. The greatest man in American TV and film of the era. BTW. In this scene I laughed until I was a drooling wreck of demented hilarity. ... If you watch any of his interviews, you'll notice he's very critical of himself or at least, pretty humble about himself as an actor, which I admire about Ed O'Neil. However, I would appreciate the opportunity to let him know the quality of his work and how his portrayal of the characters and dialogue he has been given during his career has brought me not only the basic joy of genuine (sometimes tears in my eyes, abs hurting) laughter, but how it is his portrayal of the darker aspects of the human condition we all possess that we can laugh about only thanks to the synergy of great writers, directors and actors. If anyone else was cast in the role of Al Bundy or Glen, they would not have been such classic moments in film and TV history. I imagine he would have felt type-cast after Married with Children. And that in cameo roles like this, he would have wanted to give as much as he could. However, the fact is he gave exactly what was perfect for that particular character who only had a few lines in the two films. For Glen to stand out this much as a character... Well, Ed should be proud. I'm proud of him. He's a legend to me. And he's not at all "Hollywood" when you see him interviewed. He's just an actor who wants to ply his craft and do it to his standards of perfection. That's what's cool about Ed O'Neil. He's a really cool guy. "Today.... Is Al Bun-Day". I'm not worthy!
It would have been better if his name was AL in the movie. But the Chicago connection between the movie and Married W/Children was enough to draw people
The voices in Gil's head scream "I want money! Give money!" "Why don't you love me anymore?!" "Daddy, give me money!" And the occasional squawk of a Chicken.
Brace Yourself leave him alone, he's reminiscing, alot can happen in a few months... a man could have his still beating heart ripped out his chest and throat slit in a matter of seconds......
I'm glad I found this....god knows I feel like that right now. I find the down right evil and satanic thoughts in my mind are the only thing that calm me down...plus haha its my man Al Bundy lol. Remember the episode he walks throught the car wash lmao!
I had never done a crazy thing in my life before that night, why is it if a man kills another man in battle its heroic yet if he kills another man in the heat of passion it's called murder.

Yeah wtf, he was awesome.
I agree
I agree because he is one of the shining gems of this movie is part always made me laugh as a kid and still as an adult
He needs to give himself more credit and pat himself on the back
Amen, brother!
Ed O'Neil never really knew his greatness
The second time he says "to die" with a sorta whisper just cracks me up everytime. Such a great bit.
Omg me too!!!
Okay👍
This is me at work
athfcoz if that's you then I hope that you at least spend some of your hard earned cash on hooters and beer.

best cameo ever.
Not really a cameo since he’s in the first movie too a few times
This character was the answer to a radio trivia question that won me a $15 certificate at Salty’s seafood restaurant. Thanks, Glen!
Ed O'Neill is a fuckin' LEGEND!
Amen.
I see Al got fired from shoe sales
Lol
And probably killed his whole family
@@cosmicghostrider2968 He beat them to death with their own shoes.
@@jonathanturbide2232 That's a whole different story
@@rolandet Altogether
He channeled Al Bundy here, and that's not a good thing, it's a GREAT THING.
Sounds almost like Al Bundy speaking instead of Glen. And still Ed O’Neill delivers with the short time he has in the movie. Living legend.
Didn't you know..Al is Glens twin brother and lives less than an hour away in Chicago.
@@benjaminlucas1635 I guess Glen is married to a shrew of a wife like Peg.
@@epcotman32 runs in the family

It's because he IS Al Bundy.
I used to have Glens entire monologue memorized and walked around reciting it to people when I felt the timing was right. . . why do they come to me to die? why do they come to me to die?
His quotes on the first are classic also.
Hahaha Ed O'neil is the best
Glenn is my spirit animal. I feel his angst within my bones, my soul even! Disgust for humanity yet still maintaining a grace through a sense of humor.
If you think Glen is something, then you should meet his twin brother Al who lives less than an hour away in Chicago.
I guess thats what happens when you sell women's shoes
Peggy Bundy: Al, come back to me.
Al: Uh, no Peg.

lolol I love his cameos in WWl and WWll
Hahahaha for second I thought you meant World War then realized it was Wayne's World lol
Haha same
Al Bundy is the man!!
TheOfficialPhoenixTV saving private bundy
Wayne's World 1 & 2 have the same initials as World War I & II. 😂😂😂
I know Ed played Al Bundy but I felt this scene felt more Al Bundy than his other moments in the Wayne's World movies
So Many underrated cameos/spots or bits if you wanna call them that in these movies I absolutely loved them
Glen has always been deep in this thoughts.....along with the voices in his head

Ok
Glen, you are my spirit animal.
I use that 'Ok, ok' line for a lot of people in life.
I always felt that we were seeing a scene of a lost MWC episode where we saw Al’s part time job. Lol
Ed o'Neill is a great Actor
Why do they come to me to die? Why do They Come To Me To Die???
Brilliant acting by Ed O'Neil.
Ed is the funniest man ever
This is now.
Covid has shown that everyone is Ed O'Neil.
Man I swear I just had this thought, and had to come to the video. People have cabin fever and are losing their minds.
Yep same here.
This is sooo me in 15 years

Wayne's "ok" is probably the funniest ok I've ever heard
I never realized that both Al Bundy and Jefferson D’Arcy are in the same movie.
Oh wow...me neither :-D
"Why do they come to me to die?....Why do they come to me to die?" hahahahahaha. Glen's got some extremely deep seated issues he's dealing with!
I can't believe people shit on this movie
it's better than the first one
me when i hear younger people planning to do fun things.
But seriously, why do they come to me do die?
Okay 😐
One of my favorite parts thanks for posting
Glen is my favorite in these movies lol
Well, the world’s a twisted place...
I can fully relate to Ed O'neil on this, that's why I always take my medication☺
Sure, whatever you say Matt GOLDMAN!

We're all Glen sometimes.
Al gone mad 🔥
LMFAO. Love this movie!!!
Al Bundy
Yep he got fired from the shoe store. Lol
Introducing Al "The starving shoe salesman" Bundy
Plot twist: Glen is really Al. He just changed his name and moved to Aurora to get away from Peggy and the kids.
So awkward and so funny. I want to be this guy in real life some time, just for a few seconds, haha!
Al Bundy is in this?!?!? I so need to see this
This is his only scene
Best parts of the WW franchise!
Can someone please upload the scene with Ed O'Neil from Wayne's World 1 it's the best.
This is my life everyday I wish someone would do something to block out the voices in my head for 5 minutes
Brilliant.
Dana Carvery’s brother, Brad helped invent the video toaster which is why Garth wears that t-shirt in this scene.

Who the fuck would ever think for a second that Ed O'Neill was a black belt in Jiu Jitsu way before it was made popular by MMA.
Hello it's al

So Al Bundy found a new job......
My brother and I used to joke that he was talking about Peg in this scene.

Is that an echo?
Timmy Mallet?
I don't get. Who comes to him to die - the voices? Or other people? And if it is the voices, what does he do that causes the voices to die?
And to think he's now doing modern family the guy is a bit machine
I think Glenn would be a lot happier if he was married with children.
OMG LMAO
Kind of looks like Al Bundy.
Strange Ed O’Neill got a role as Glen given that on SNL, Ed had a different role on the skit where he played a cruel driver’s education teacher.
#950: ... *giggle*
🤣
I think Glen might need to up his meds.
That's because this was made 19 years ago
This made me laugh, but sadly this is very real for me and has been happening for years
Dam Peg really messed up Al's head!!!!

I can only imagine one type of life that is more miserable than Glen's: Selling women's shoes for a living.
