I can definitely assure you it's not the case everywhere, thankfully. I can only speak for kiwis but our kids are still raised to say please and thank you, being polite is something a hold in high regard. There are some very difficult (that's the nicest way to put it lol) out there and she absolutely should, 100% agree

Thanks Dr. Lori for reminding all of us how NOT to be. Why in the world would someone assume that your education, knowledge and experience should just be given away for free? You have worked in museums for crying out loud. Just the fact that you give away this information in your thousands of videos is proof that your are trying to educate, not compete. You are priceless. Love the news letter and your website. I once was concerned that my doctor was taking too much time with patients and we were waiting for over an hour. A lovely lady said to me ‘Don’t be concerned, when he gets to you, you are the ONLY patient in the office. I’ve never forgotten that. I have often repeated that same line. Do what you do best. “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” (Dr. Seuss). ❤ 10:39

I appreciate you and all the information you give away for free. I don't understand why people expect to get paid when they go to work, but they don't expect to pay you. Collaborate with who you want to, it actually baffles me that people think they have the right to tell you who to collaborate with. I'm extremely happy I found you. I've been planning on opening a vintage shop for a while now and I'm very happy that I found an expert to bring these items too.

Dr. Lori, Thank you for all that you do! There is always going to be ungrateful "Trolls" everywhere you Tube, Facebook, Tick Tock, ect. social media, in person, live streams, on line auctions,. Don't feed the Trolls as it takes so much of your time. Don't give up on us your fans. Its good that you share with us all that you have to deal with so we can appreciate you even more.

Hey Lori, I'm a retired art history teacher and repetition is important. (Pedagogy tells us a student must hear something 3 times!) In your case, if people aren't watching every episode, they may not have heard it before. Just keep doing what you are doing!

As far as collaboration, I'm with you absolutely don't do videos with those who are rude and have made derogatory remarks. Just know that the vast majority of subscribers have enough respect for you that people who talk down about you are absolutely not ones we want to see you do a colab with!
Dr Lori I'm so happy I have found you I've been collecting since I'm 14 years old and I'm now 64. You have increased my wisdom beyond books or videos or anything else I've ever seen. As a Christian I must say as to posting with people who have been disrespectful to you, there is a big difference between forgiving somebody and moving on and writing welcome on your forehead and laying down on the floor. Healthy boundaries are not a bad thing.
I love this. People who complain about you give you great material for a funny and entertaining video. I remember wondering about how to take you shopping to an auction and asked you. I’m hoping you knew I was new at the time and did expect to pay. I also realize you need me to plan ahead and find auctions that fit in your availability.

It seems like she is one of the many that are out to discredit you, “catch you” making a mistake. And it breaks my heart that they’re on social media doing the same. Hi Dr. Lori! I was extremely grateful for your online appraisal service! You actually saved me money! I was really happy that I received an email back saying that the item I had submitted was not worth more than 60.00. Thank you! I also read the instructions with regards to submitting an item and it does clearly state exactly what you just explained! I appreciate you and your expertise! I feel like I’m taking an advanced class in Art History or Different time periods and which styles go with them.
