This is ultra useful, everyone knows at least a dozen of those guys that spar too hard for no good reason at all.
cheers!!
Call it ultra instinct 😆fr tho. You a beast Jeff. 💯
Clinching is one of the most underrated techniques out there. You made it look easy!
thanks man!
Definitely. Very versatile. Great way to control an opponent.
Um.... In Muay Thai it isn't.
Quite regular to see in MMA too?
Jeff man is an mma and fight scholar , love to see your new tips and tricks always a nugget of knowledge
thanks man!!
@@MMAShredded thank you for your knowledge and time 🫡
The thai special, its how they settle down feisty farangs
cheers!
Very nice technique. I'd love to play it at 0.25 speed though. Downside of shorts
ill make a full video with many diff examples and variations!!
if you want to watch a short in the regular video player, replace 'shorts/' with 'watch?v='
you're welcome
or just put a timestamp in a comment and press it (like this 0:00).
also works with the mobile app, and no need to tamper with the urls ;)

Even in a real life situation, when someone is overly aggressive you need to be the first to control his head if you can't avoid a clinch. If he's taller than you then get a body lock. Clinching in a real fight is almost guaranteed to happen but it's the most undertrained part of fighting. You made this look easy.
Excellent. We use this all the time. Great way to control and neutralize the threat 🤙🤙🤙🙏. Awesome Coach Jeff🤙
osss thanks shi fu!
It’s a classic judo foot sweep! Sasae-tsurikomi-ashi :) super effective
ossss
Really clean sweeps man. Even I get a dozen sweeps But that one looks really efficient if you we’re able to land it more than twice.
:)
Wish there was a step by step tutorial Jeff, that would have been really effective to learn 🙏
I will make a full video on it!
Thank you for the analasys bit
It really helps a rookie understand what just happened here
I know more now because of you
Excellent Jeff!
this short could perfectly be 1 class or a seminar for SanDa Chinese boxing!
🤲😀😀
Jeff ma boii. You never cease to amaze me brotha 💯
thanks bro!!
Poetry in motion!
Verrrrrry useful! Thank you Jeff!!!!
no prob!!
Man, I've been watching you for a long time and you are getting SO much better. You're amazing, keep it up
thanks man!
I remember this exact class when you was teaching this trick like it was yesterday
I think you are One of the best senseis out there, globally! Osū 🙏🥋
thank you!!!!
Finally 😮, I've been trying to figure this out for a bit, but most videos are drills and not live application, from what I've found.
Oss!
Clean clinch techniques!
thx!!
First dude was emotionated
This looks awesome.
:)
Jeff getting better and better and better every video.
thanks man!
Excellent so smooth🙏😊
thanks for watching!
I hope the first guy works on his defense. I feel like his head is always getting bopped around
The combinations of the ufc fighters are cool, they work well for me to fight 👍👍 and combinations that you upload
oss!
Muy buenas técnicas para tener en cuenta. Gracias !!
Impressive journey!
thx!
Jeff you are too good! 🔥🔥🔥
thx man!
Such beautiful display of technique
🙏🙏
Thanks coach!
no prob!!!
Beautiful. Thank you. I should drill this
cheers!
Do you do seminars? This is a really good tactical tooltip and you’ve no doubt got a bunch of tips like this from all the travel training.
yess all the time!! follow me on instagram @mmashredded where I update everyone!
Do more content like this please!
noted!!
Beautiful
:)
Идёшь путем воина ,при чем благородного
This is the perfect example of borrowing your opponents energy and using it against them

Nice to see sasae in muay thai setting
cheers!
Right in the middle of the video you can see the guy with black gloves has his left glove almost fully off and still trying to swing 😅
This looks really useful, especially in out of the ring situations. Where can I learn this technique or the name?
Judo, Sasae Tsurikomi Ashi.
I just call it a quarter turn sweep!
It's a normal sweep in Muaythai my friend when you clinching.
We called "เตะกวาด" Tae-Kwad,(kick sweep)
Tan facil de ver …pero muy difícil de hacer ….
Increíble
Wow thats impressive. Is this all self taught or did you follow any particular tutors examples? Ty
of course I learned it from coaches lol
Amazing sweeps Jeff, i wanna ask if you could use throws to directly go on top mount?
depends if the guy being thrown knows bjj haha
@@MMAShredded 😂😂 in a perfect world, muay thai sweeps would end in a perfect bjj transition
360 block, I see the Krav coming out!
yes I actually learned that term from training Krav Maga!
This is sick. This is Muy Thai?
yes
Up Down Left Trigger Square
-Seems Simple Enough
🔥🔥
Inversely, be sure to protect your own neck at all times. Irrespective of your disposition. Be it defensive or offensive. Attacking or eluding. Striking or countering. This clip is an emphatic reminder how vulnerable that Thai collar tie renders a man.
cheers!
I trained at glory for alil bit wlnice gym
Sasae-tsurikomi-ashi
Is that cumbia playing in the back?
The fact that this guy is this good at striking AND BJJ BLACK BELT is scary….
thanks!!
I hate people who say "friendly fight" and they just go %100 power and running into you and they got no actual skill in training
First guys left glove looks a bit weird… like tyson furies gloves that are not attached to his hand…
De arashi harai
Ippon !
cheers!
Do you coach at Glory Martial arts center at Brooklyn?
yes!
@@MMAShredded how much does the classes cost?
The ACTUAL lesson here: Balance needs to established before striking at close range. Or else you land on the floor😂
What would be the difference between Judo’s sasae and this Muay Thai sweep?
im not sure haha!
You can tell when someone has trained at an actual Muay Thai gym because they throw everyone around in the clinch. First guy had an embarrassing level of clinch awareness he’d make a good modern boxer
Do this count as a judo throw?
no this is a Muay Thai sweep, but maybe its the same thing in judo
You’re awesome we should spar sometime.
thanks!
👍
cheers!
👍👍👍👍👍
oss
@@MMAShredded likewise
I think if I sparred you I would say to myself - "one of us is Jeff Chan. And it's not me." And then I would act logically according to that reality
haha!!!
Hopefully the opponent won't beat you in the clinch 😂
Is this allowed in Muay Thai ??
of course
@@MMAShredded okok thanks a lot 🙏
How to do this without rolling the person onto your ankle. Nice.
cheers!
Discombobulate
Jeff is nasty
cheers!
Where do you reckon you'd learn good clinching? Has to be Thailand right?
What makes kickboxing such a joke, is that they allow knees but they don't allow sweeps
definitely thailand!
you should spar andrew tate
You sparringpartner is amaturs. Come to holland then you see how sparring is
omg dude, you will get CTE so hard; really tone down your sparring
Those wide low hands are asking for a counter to the chin
That was nice tbf ive not seen any Thai trips from bicep control before
