- Bio By She Rox All Female Bands:Sweden based Thundermother, began in 2010 by founder and lead guitarist Filippa Nassil, along with Italian born guitarist Giorgia Cateri. The line up which once included men, has changed quite a bit before the final and current day line up of which is said founder Nassil wanted to be all female, this line would release their debut in 2014 called "Rock N Roll Disaster" , and the band has been gaining momentum since, due to their high energy riff rock that many have liked to a AC/DC female version, touring abroad and showing why Sweden is leading the way in the hard rock revival and proof that rock isn't dead has only gained the band an even larger fan following, the band has currently released 2015's "Road Fever" a true rock gem from start to finish, could only be further proof that Thundermother has arrived and ready to take over the world.

never gonna happen. it was their best line up they had though. they just couldn't get along, if i understood their statements. the singer's new music is...well, lets just say it's not like this at all. i pissed her (clare) off once already by criticizing it, so i'll behave. either way, thundermother is fillipa. she does all the heavy lifting, so to speak. imo, she's one of the coolest rock guitarists out there right now. someone needs to start a petition or a gofundme so we can get them to do a u.s. tour

PLEASE never confuse the Swedes with the rest of Scandinavia. In Sweden they simply do not do metal. OH HELL NO. They do ROCK just like we all did in the 70s and 80s. This is why Anette Olzon was always different because shes a rocker. You could actually have 1980s MTV all over again there and all would be well.

Saw 'em opening 4 D.A.D some years ago. Compared to the lineup changes thereafter this outfit happened 2 be the real deal. Meanwhile (2023) some kind of friction and corrosion later, they have bullied themselves into a 2nd or 3rd. incarnation which is hardly recognizable. I wonder how long label and fan support will endure this unstable ride eventually triggered by the guitar wiz.
