- Eeekkk!! Are we living for this style?! 😍 I am!! I wanted to try out a different style on my microlocs, and I went for two strand twists with beads. I did this style when I was a loose natural and absolutely loved it. Now that I'm locked, I wanted to try it again and I'm OBSESSED!!

I just took my surgical school graduation photos, I have traditionally locs. I added beads to my two strands for the photos and the beading added such dimension to a simple style.

Helloooo. I'm new year, and I'm about to begin my loc journey, but I've got so many questions. How many locs do you have? What is the difference between micro locs and sister locs? and did you start with micro twists? How does it work? Do you like loc your roots and twist the ends or... How often do retie your hair? I don’t want to retie so much, but my hair grows out fast where I have loose hair coming out my locs. I am three years in and retie every 6-8 weeks.

That’s what I want to know because I love this and want to try it but I’m not even close to being fully locked!
Thank you! You don’t have to be fully locked. I’ve added beads to a couple of locs before when they were still maturing, but not a full head. I also didn’t leave them in long. They are a bit heavy, so I would recommend waiting until they’re matured, that’s just my opinion!
