Filter cage holding the filter higher possibly? Also, have owned my n55 535i xdrive 2011 for 5-6 years no major issues. They are good engines as long as they are maintained.
Unfortunately they’re not very good engines. I’ve replaced more N55’s than any other engine by far. But like you said if you keep that oil level high, I think that might be the secret to keeping them from grenading
@@edirty9 I usually keep 7qts total in my pan. Changed oil every 3-5k, im looking at a 540i g30. I want the b58 so bad now lol Someone also said with the xdrive the front diff may act as a baffle and not affect them as bad do you see this possible?

Low oil pressure in mine was a broken oil cap cage, the tip had broken off by the last place that did the oil change.
Dang! Glad they found that issue too!
That oil cage had my f10 in reduced power mode💯
