Honestly I like your react channel better than any other youtuber out there bro! You're a chill dude and you give honest opinions on the music. I'm just really glad that someone from the newer generation is experiencing this wonderful music. This is one of my all time favorite songs! Thanks for reacting to it my friend.
Thanks bro I really appreciate it 🤘‼️
they were all on acid at the time lol
You're my 12th favorite out of 30
@cosmicVox13 Yea they kinda were, along with many listening
Rick Perry , I love this guy, and his brother, when he is there. His personality is great. I think he reminds of my son, when he was young. This is one of my favorite songs too. It is excellent! There is no comparison to David Gilmour’s guitar playing. He will love it. ❤️🌹❤️
that my friend, was THE greatest guitar solo in the history of music. That album was on the top of the charts every week for 19 YEARS straight. think about that.
Wow that's so Cool...Love Pink Floyd...Forever and ever😊
No, the pulse concert version is the best
When that album came out I was leaving in Europe. We were in Malta then walking downtown Valletta and in the streets were playing The Wall. My son was almost two and a half years old and was singing “We don’t need Not education..” so cool. That was March 1980! British country then that year Malta was free. Great memories
You are very wrong about this, my friend. This song came out on 'The Wall!' That album was only on the charts for 15 weeks. Dark Side Of The Moon is the album you're thinking of. It was on the album charts from 1973-1988. 741 weeks. Almost 15 years. Not 19.
@@davidvasquezjr.4094 You are right. I keep thinking about that guitar solo and knowing it's great and thinking about DSOTM and knowing it too is great, and I mixed them up. . .but YES I do remember and know that DSOTM is what I was thinking of when I made that remark - just got stuff mixed up in my mind - Hell, I remember when both albums came out. . .so, I 'm getting OLD, lol, that's my excuse!
Doctor: You hаve 5 min to live.
Pаtient: I'll listen to Comfortablу Numb.
Doctor: But thаt’s 7 min.
God: It’s okаy.
😻😻😻

Best comment ❤️
🤣
You, my friend, just heard the guitarist with the softest touch in rock and roll history... David Gilmour. Bravo!
Jonathan Bowen the best!
When any great guitarist plays, you know who the fuck it is. They're just like singers whose voices can be imitated but never replicated. Think: Hendrix. Gilmour, Clapton, Prince, et al...all play guitars yet we know their voice when we hear it.
Gilmour is unmistakable, every fucking time. Surprised the Queen hasn't fucking knighted him yet, frankly, for his contribution to British music and the listening world. Apologies if she has and I missed it. I'm a lousy, loud American.
Talking about the softest touch...Gilmore’s solo album “on an island” is pure magic.
@@gergrogers7385 you sir, speak the truth!! 👏
@@johnnyparsnips7641 understood 😊
You really should listen to The Wall as a full album. It's a concept album so it's meant to be listened to from the first track to the last. It tells a story, it gets weird. Definitely recommend.
Its the fuckin greatest.
You should see the MOVIE!
@@milionthemove Seen it over and over! What a trip of a movie.
@@FarashaSilver a trip is definitely the right word!
Watched it while pregnant with my second child. Had some crazy dreams after that.
Pink Floyd never gets old for people who appreciate great music.
pink floyd dark side of the moon was in the american top ten album charts for over 12 years , truly one of the best bands of all time.
Yes, bro!
Absolutely!
This song is NOT from DSOTM....it's from The Wall... Both are amazing albums
Actually I believe it was in the top 200 album chart, and for between 13 or 14 consecutive years, if I remember correctly. Unless we're talking about different types of charts. It was definitely not in the top ten for 12 years. But it has made the top 200 for more weeks than any other album.
If I'm wrong.....oh well. 😋
@@cablebrain9691 true,was top 200 for 741 weeks
We always say....Pink Floyd is an Experience. Sit back and close your eyes.
Only concert I've ever been to where everyone sat in their seats the whole show.
Yes that is the best way to understand I agree!
Absolutely! Put the headphones on, turn off the lights, and dive in 💛
I live in LA and we had laser shows at the Griffith Park Observatory..... it was so rad! Pink Floyd was a big night. We would get wasted in the parking lot and then go in and lay back and trip out on the laser show.
Yes Pink Floyd is an experience to be enjoyed through earphones.
This is my cat's favorite song. Seriously. He gets all chill, closes his eyes half way and leans his head back like he's stoned or in a trance.
That was short version. Lots of guitar left. Pink Floyd's music is the only way to shut the lights off and go on a trip without drugs. I am 71 and this is the only band i have ever heard that can do that.
Pink Floyd IS drugs
Totally acid trip without the acid.
Whenever someone finds Floyd for the first time, I am tickled pink. It gives me hope for the future.
Pink Floyd is one of the most important bands in history. Keep on with them🤘
One of the greatest rock bands of all time! ❤Pink Floyd❤
The. The greatest rock band of all time
@Cindy Morre not as good. They just aren't 🤷🏻♂️
And I would credit 75% of that magic to David Gilmore.
I’m a 43 year old lady and one of my favorite things has become watching you guys react to songs I loved when I was your age
Same
Me too
'Sup ladies ? Im 53 , and i like giraffes.
Me too! I'm 45 and these amazing young men make me feel young again! Even though I know these songs by heart, I feel like I'm listening to them for the 1st time. Thank you for creating this CZcams channel. You are inspiring and lovely. 💕🕊
Me too, also a 43 year old woman
Pink Floyd probably the most deep lyricists in history.......brilliant!
It was all the cid they took. Changes your whole world view, as if it gives you new eyes to see.
Almost all their lyrics were written by Roger Waters.
Can't wait to be comfortably numb very soon..
I think a lot of it references the using experience with drugs, specifically heroin. “Just a little pin prick, you won’t go AhAhhAhhh” I think the journey of dealing with and overcoming addiction breeds beautiful art moreso than doing the drugs themselves does, from my experience anyway
Which one is Pink?
I was 16 when this album came out .
I am 64 and this album will always be relevant . Hope you listen to the whole thing .
When it’s my time I want this playing 😎
Same here
I was 12 and was rocking out in the 70's. First album I ever bought was Aerosmith Toys in the Attic.
It came out in 1978. I was 19 and I'm only 61 now. Something wrong with your math.
We played the great gig in the sky in my grandpa’s funeral. One powerful moment
Classic rock is timeless.
This band was so ahead of it's time....Let it soak into your skin, melt your mind and reward your ears...
Pink Floyd- wish you were here. It’ll get you into the feels....
W"Wish you were here was my 420 song!!!!
Factz..I cry inside when listening to it
All the feels
A tie with The Wall for my fav Floyd💓
"the child has grown, the dream is gone, I have become comfortably numb" How awfully sad that so many are trapped in the cycles of addiction. You lose yourself and some never return.
actually the song isn't about drug addiction, it was about the writer having some kind of fever when he was a child and when he was older that made him feel detached from reality, many think its about drugs but the guy who wrote the song says it isnt
@@phillstevenson4931 Comfortably Numb, one of Pink Floyd’s most beloved songs, from The Wall (1979), with its melody and music by David Gilmour and lyrics by Roger Waters, describes a state of loss: the protagonist is someone who is anaesthetised before coming on stage.
I hear you’re feeling down
Well I can ease your pain
Get you on your feet again
Can you show me where it hurts?
In an interview released in the 80s, Waters said that much of the song comes from something that really happened one evening when, in order to allow him to perform in Philadelphia, the doctor gave him a sedative for a severe stomach ache, which had probably caused by nerves. On the stage, his hands were numb and his vision blurred, but none of this derailed the crowd, who continued to dance and sing. And it was out of this that one of the main themes of The Wall came about: the disconnect between the public and the band.
@@Dshenlong its like you guys don't actually listen to the lyrics yes that may have played a role, but explain the lines
When I was a child, I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons.
People spend too much time listening to the chorus and want extend some existentialism on it.
Ah, in my late teens and early twenties I lost two amazing friends to drugs. They were Izzy and Liz, sisters. They loved this song. They also visited my house and robbed all the food I'd made for visitors 😳 I really didn't care and am sad to this day that the world lost those sparkling girls. Funny, bright and kind.
@@phillstevenson4931 To me, the song, including the lines,
Just a little pinprick
There'll be no more, ah
But you may feel a little sick
really describe the experience of someone seeking relief from psychic pain through opiate use. I haven't experienced that pain that is so prominent for some people, so I was more interested in things that made me more aware of some aspects of my experience, not less; but this song helped me understand the experience of others better.
Loved this reaction Pink Floyd isn't for everyone. A true music lover appreciates the artistry and message.
Recently on Twitter someone asked what album you couldn't live without. My answer was Pink Floyd The Wall. Especially Hey You!
Time by Pink Floyd, one of the greatest songs of all time!!!
Daniel, with all due respect, It's better than that.
Time and Comfortably Numb are tied for my top spot
“Mother”
LOL Time! That would be the song I would suggest too. That is, if he didn’t listen to the whole album from start to finish.
...but you must listen to The Great Gig in the sky straight afterwards, obviously.
Please listen to the whole album of Dark Side Of The Moon with no interruptions--I have done this a thousand times. I am 70 now and still love Pink Floyd!
Comfortably numb is on the wall?
Denise Lowe I’m sure she understands that. Dark side of the moon is just a bit easier of a listen for a video because it’s not an hour and a half.
Twins for the win (again) !!!!! Pink Floyd....... YAY
I've been on CZcams from day 1 and I've NEVER enjoyed any channel or single vid more than I'm loving your reaction vids..thank you sweetheart, I really needed something to feel good and hopeful about and you are just a beautiful soul
This album Dark Side of the Moon was an album alot of us got stoned and zoned out listening decades ago [70.s]
This song isn’t from Dark Side of the Moon. It’s from - The Wall.
Absolutely!
Comfortly Numb is from the Wall. I cant believe the @TwinsthenewTrend got it wrong. Plus, it's really not a head boppin kind of song.
this is one of the songs that MUST BE listened to in their best incarnation, in this case pleeeeaaase watch COMFORTABLY NUMB : PINK FLOYD LIVE PULSE 1994 - believe me, you´ll be beamed away.
I have to agree with you. I saw them at Earl's Court in '94 and it was just the best concert I've ever been to. I had concert fall out for weeks! I got the album and played it over and over
heck yes back in the 1979 future pink floyd was part of a great era of timeless music. Music that was influenced from others in the past, and will influence more in the future. I have to add a few things that I know as an old dude. 1) To get a true experience of Pink, shut every thing else off except your music, lights out, relax in your comfy couch, and listen to, "The dark side of the Moon", from the start to the end. 2) The ooh ohh voice that you will hear is Clair Torry. She is from the UK and has the most soul power of any song that we might hear in any song ever.. She was paid $300 for that session back in 1979. There was a lawsuit since then and I do trust that she has been compensated since then. I hope that she was. 3) "The Wall", is a video that was high tech and creative back in the day. It has great animation and undertones that is Floyd. 4)Roger lost his father in WW2 , that was the basis of "the wall", and it worked well. 5) Pink Floyd mixed emotions and Roger Waters split. 6)Time went on, more to it. 7) More to it... 8) David Gilmore, retired this year, sold his guitars at auction and donated it to science. fck ya. what the heck did I do.
Seriously? David Gilmore retired and sold his guitars???
He did auction off most of his collection, including the Black Strat, but he certainly didn't retire.
This is by far one of the greatest bands of all time. The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon albums are absolutely worth listening fully through. There are so many amazing, mindblowing song and I'm so glad you're exploring these. Love your honest and authentic experiencing of the music.
Comfortably numb is one of those songs that when you really feel and understand it touches you on a deep point of your soul that you have never felt before.
You have now heard the greatest band to ever do it!
Pink Floyd albums need to be listened to in whole. The songs mix into each other. In the day of the real album. :D
I totally agree. You know he didn't understand comfortably numb without hearing the 18 songs before it. Actually, I'm fixin to listen to the album from the beginning, well as soon as I get a glass of wine!
Psychedelic rock, it’s just pure art and imagination. ✌🏼
If you wish too see how great they really are check out this song live on the Pulse Live video. The solo is twice as long. It will blow you away! Good job, really enjoy seeing the younger generation enjoying this great music!
I disagree, the solo from echoes live at Pompeii is better......that whole song is astronomical.
This whole album is needing a reaction
I love how y'all open to all music. So dope to see how music can cross generations and cultures.
Nice reaction, buddy. I’m glad that you listened to the studio version of this song; the music during this time was mastered in the studio to sound best using headphones. However, I do recommend the Pulse concert; the guitar solo at the end is simply amazing. Check it out, when you have time.
You get it ❤😊
Another emotionally charged song...SIGH!...you have no idea how much happiness it brings when you rock out w us
this songs live version from pulse has the greatest guitar solo at the end you will ever here...
No doubt. 1000 times better than the studio version. Its epic.
@Rune Larsen - Shame that with a name related to "audio" you got such a narrow view...
It's the SAME solo... GIlmour told that it's one of those solo he always almost play it "verbatim" because he knows fans want THE solo...
The studio is the SHORTER one... I like the movie one, longer, with the screaming at the end while he transmute to a worm-fascist.
The live/Pulse version is the "full extended" one... From day 1 Gilmour had already this solo on his side, they just shorten it for the album... It was not streaming at the time, the side of a vinyl disc was limited.
So no, it's NOT 1000 times better, it's just longer, because live he plays it all.
(*) Of course there might be some variation here and there, he's not a robot.
@@garryiglesias4074 nothimg is a shame about that. It is just beautiful that the live verdion is so long and sweet. Opinions are opinions and not up to debate. Its fine thst you think the way you do, and me the same as i do.
@Rune Larsen - The said shame was a joke with "Larsen". It was not "serious".
Yet I gave you FACTS... Even if I gave my taste in the middle it was an explicit "subjective" thing, not an absolute projection of my tiny little EGO...
I think it is 1000 times better and that is my opinion, not only longer but i think it sounds much better all the way through 😊🤟
This song 🧱 Live from Pulse please 🤞, it's a must see by any Floyd fan.
Btw-This album is an “experience “. A natural “trip”...
This song live pulse is a bangerrr
My Mom took me to see Floyd back in the 90's, when they did the Pulse album & it was an unbelivable experience...& I got a great 2nd hand high from the ppl smoking in front of us.
This song almost makes you feel like you're the one passed out on the hotel room floor.... From the very moment he says "Hello"
Lol!!!
There are two voices: The first is someone from the outside talking to someone who is barely there. The second voice is the person who is barely there.
The Wall was one of my "go-to" albums over 40 yrs ago...especially this song. Would crank it and "drown out" the world.
Welcome to our world in the seventies, love to see guys appreciate it.
As an 80s kid, I can't tell you how happy this makes me. These were some amazing times. Everyone knew all the same songs playing on the radio. We sang them with friends, it was the glue. So cool you're keeping an open mind.
This is one of the greatest albums ever made. A lot of the underlying themes of their music is about how war, greed, money and the mechanization of human danger is destroying human souls. You got everything important the first time through.
Why not get a cheap bass guitar when you are able to. You clearly have the mind for music based on your reactions. Something to think about.
Some say the best solo of all time, all heart and soul. The layers of sound are magic. Anything off Animals please and thank you
It is rated by many lists as one because it’s hard to play. Or that’s what I heard.
Yes have to do animals. Pigs I still love.
Sad
I am glad you react to studio version but as suggested by all of us here, you should have reacted to the Pulse Concert Live version of this song.. That is the best guitar solo.
I think people should always listen to the studio version first, it makes you appreciate the live version even more
Nah, the Silver Clef performance at Knebworth in 1990 in the driving rain is David at the peak of his powers.
But PULSE is the best visual performance, just a shame the song is played at a real stodgy tempo, noticeably slowly than the studio version.
Your next Pink Floyd reaction should be "Time". The lyrics are deep, the music rocks, the guitar solo is awesome, and it's got one of those long ass intros that Floyd is famous for. Watch a video with the lyrics if you can find one, because it has something to say.
How about "Money"?
If you have the time, watch the whole film for The Wall. You won't be disappointed
Yes, the film was so amazing. I watched it for the first time in the 80s.
I love it when young people hear this band for the first time and realize how incredible they are!
Good shit man, you’re good at these, keep diving into the great bangers of the 70’s. Cheers to that! 🔥✌🏻
Pink Floyd "Time" with lyrics handy so you can understand every word. It will make you understand even though you are young now young man, Time will fly by before you know it so make sure you don't miss the starting gun. Then "Dark Side of the Moon" in it's entirety....... A eye opener and Life Changer.......... Peace
Hey.
Live your channel.
Try Pink Floyd - shine on crazy diamond
The 2nd solo gives me chills and makes my eyes water without fail, every time I hear it.
These guys put on a hell of a show in concert.....something one won't ever forget. if you aren't high as the clouds before the music starts....the music will take you there.
I'm 62 years old that is my favorite Pink Floyd song. David Gilmour is the best guitarist in this so glad you got to hear it awesome reaction little bro
This is probably my favorite all time song of theirs....just touches me SOOO deep. Maybe a tie with "Wish You Were Here". They both are good for flushing out the old tear ducts.
I love seeing this song come over you like a wave. I can still remember the first time I ever heard it as a teenager. Your deep appreciation and love for music is beautiful!
Dude - slow down as you listen to these songs, close your eyes, let your body feel the beat of the music and hear the lyrics.... so much passion in these songs.
"Time ta go" on stage..this is about the stage fright the lead guy feels. An they feed him drugs to deafeat the fearing he feels. They numb him now he is numb comfortably numb... this whole album is a story...
Pretty much, anything by Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, or Deep Purple.
I love watching your reactions to the music I loved for decades 💜I am 63 and Pink Floyd is still my favorite rock group and Comfortably Numb is my all time favorite song! David Gilmour’s guitar solo Still takes me off to another place 🤗
I love what you are bringing to so many of my all time favorites!
“Say ‘time to go’ one more time” ... you sound exactly like Will Smith in his Fresh Prince days lol ... classic man
I’m 64...and they my fav band when I was growing up....incredible band psychedelic rock..their music will take u places...has a lot to do with drugs too..they were ahead their time..check out..echos or money too great Floyd songs...use to trip listen to them..60 70s music at its best
You don't need any kind of drug to go on an amazing trip! Just listen to Pink Floyd! They'll get you there♡
Your reaction was so pure. Pink Floyd is like happiness and pain all at the same time.
This song is from The Wall, not what you have displayed, Dark Side of The Moon. Regardless, I love your passion. Keep it up.
the video he's watching has dsotm album cover on it, and according to that video's description, they put it there because according to them it is the most recognized Pink Floyd symbol.
Right!!
This album, is meant to be listened to, IN IT'S ENTIRETY.
One of my faves. Love your reactions, you make it so much fun!
I just started following you and your brother. You guys are great! Don’t lose your free spirit!
Can you do my favorite Floyd next. Hey You. Off same album
OK honey, you have GOT to listen to Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb" [live at Pulse HD 1994]. David Gilmour's guitar solo in this live version will blow you away. Have you listened to Pink Floyd "Time" Dark Side of the Moon yet? It is a must listen to. And welcome to the world & genius of Pink Floyd. Enjoy.
I can see you feel the music in your soul! This song is one of my favorites!
Love this album and Pink Floyd, I’m 64 and still love it as much as when it was first released. One of my Dads favourite bands, we played Comfortably Numb and Wish You Were Here at his funeral 🥰
Pink Floyd the full album or if you dare the movie. It's deep stuff. One of the best guitarists ever. ( My opinion) Meant to be a story about a man slowly sliding into madness among other things involving the state of the world at the time. This song....Shooting up to numb the pain but still carrying on with the show(he was a rock star)
My man! you have to do the Pulse live version of this song, it will blow your mind :)
Pink Floyd = pure genius. One of my absolute favorite bands. Their lyrics are as complex and outstanding as their music. The Final Cut is one of the best LPs ever recorded (in my humble opinion). So glad you added them to your "reactions"!
Love this channel. Watching your reaction to music makes my heart happy. Peace from Canada!
One thing I find funny about younger viewers is: How they nod & bounce 2 - 3X faster than the rhythm in so many songs.
No ,your prob just a white boy
he's just nodding with the hi-hat, not the kick or snare
They hit the beat .
john johnson, they’re moving to the sub-division, the sixteenth.
@@sharonhammonds9495 given that he's a drummer, it makes sense.
You gotta check out 10cc song called "i'm not in love" its amazing! Love what you do
Amazing bbc documentary about the making of that song .well worth tracking it down
Your smile during Gilmour's first solo says it all. You don't listen to Pink Floyd as much as you feel them, and you were feeling it. Yes, that solo is sublime!
Love you and your bro and your wide eyed reaction to all music .BOSS ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Wall was made into a movie, so you can see how the album was designed to tell a story.
I wish you’d have heard Welcome to the Machine as for first Floyd song!
Your reaction to this is great, takes you up and down then back up again and again, see you feeling it all
Witnessing you witnessing greatness that I grew up on. Love reminiscing & sharing! Thanks, you streaming CZcams on my flat scream is a party. Thanks man. Much respect 👍🏼☮️🤎👏🏼🙏🏼

Why not? King Crimson's “21st Century Schizoid Man” - Love to hear your take.
Great reaction (: Pink Floyd is just Super Dope Period (: When you get a chance react too Time or Us and Them both great sinks by PF (:
