Historic moment. G. Chappell and Lillee had already announced before the start of this test that it would be their last. Seeing his two mates deciding to retire Marsh decided during the test that he would follow suit. That is the reason why the scorecard does not congratulate him because at that point in time they were not made aware.
End of an era for Australia in many ways.

Even india gets only 4 test matches in australia and lately are getting 5 test series with england( due to huge markets).
pak wont get even 3 series on those horrendous pitches of middle-east. But surely when they tour they get 3 test matches. 3 test is a lot if you tour a lot. 3 nz,aus,ind,eng,wi,srilanka,sa=21 test matches. that is the right mix for a 2 year period. And they also play million one day and t-20 matches!
so barring aussies and india vs england , 5 test matches are ruled out.

From what I've heard, read and seen Kim Hughes might not have been the greatest captain, but just for myself it looks like he was better than his record, certainly his manner of leaving the job was singularly unfortunate.
But then the support he got from the public and the media wasn't that great either. Even Allan Border said that he wasn't always the best vice captain under Hughes. I doubt anyone could've done very well with such a gap in the team as that great three left.

In general, we in Pakistan/India tend to copy the fashion from the west. But if you notice the Australian team, no one had this "jungli" hairstyle - so not sure where this 80's hairstyle came about? And yes, there isn't anything wrong in having long hair, but for goodness sake, keep them organised, like applying some sorta oil/gel and keep them shiny, clean and nice looking - but here it looks like these Zombies haven't taken a shower for months.

I wonder why Lillee bowled far away from the crease which slammed to the fence 😅. Imran deserved to get out like that decision coz against India he was out twice in 1985 champions trophy finals against India & umpired denied & Imran not walked away . Umpire error it’s but still batsman should show sports man’s ship which he dint have & cheated & now he’s out in a strange way .😅He needs it . I remembered this match & I used to listen radio commentary & Greg chapell’s last match 182 & leading catches plus Lillee & Marsh getting maximum wickets & victims at the same match . Records between both were equal & Hughes made 76 also I remembered those days 😅
