Hector, I'm a Physiologist that is actually doing my PhD thesis (research) within Esports. I can tell you right now that fitter, more active players will perform better. We are trying to formulate specific training programs that benefit players and increase performance. I'll come to Texas and be the performance coach of NRG ;)
I was going to comment about how teams from csgo, lol, dota, and ow have players that all work out, to some extent, at least. A healthy body and lifestyle will certainly work wonders for the mind. Most have dieticians too iirc.
@Benjamin Williamson Yes, a healthy diet is extremely beneficial for one's cognitive performance and it does affect it. But using exercise and dietary intervention synergistically you'll yield greater results. Exercise increases greater cerebral blood flow which triggers greater oxygen and nutrient supply to the brain. So what're saying isn't wrong but it's very uneducated. Right now there isn't any Esports data so my research will assist in evidence-based decision making for nutritionists and dieticians.

Long before PUBG and Fortnite were a thing, my brother had this idea for next gen CoD. He was basically talking about Battle Royale. 2 years later we had PubG. It would have been big for Call of Duty if they created this genre before anybody else. The first time trying PubG and Fortnite, I was blown away because my brother said those types of games were going to be the next big thing. And here we are in 2020, they still are one of the most popular genres in gaming.

I want to put forward a theory on Scump being muscular and being "dad bod'" and winning. I have very little knowledge this will be a layman theory bar a little psychology knowledge. But my theory is that when Scump is more muscular he feels more masculine and perhaps testosterone levels are higher when he's been working out and therefor feels like taking more risks and feels stronger and tries to play more solo and do things for himself. However when he's in dad bod mode lets call it that, he feels less strong and plays on the side of more cautious mind sets and is more of a team player in stead of the solo warrior and that means the team is working together better and overall results in maybe higher levels of success. Like I said I have really 0 knowledge apart from a little psychology to back this up. What do you all think about my theory?
