Yep, never cared about his status as a "guitar god", but I have fallen in love with so many of the songs he's written when they incorporate legendary vocals, catchy guitar riffs, and even awesome backing keyboards.
Leven is beast, indeed. But I think, Alchemy is the last great album with great singer. "Leonardo" by Mark Boals is the Everest of singing. I mean, many metal singers can hit A5, but not so smooth, clean full sound with such perfect technique and vibrato. I think Doogie White is great too (he was massive on Nostradamus rock opera during duet with Jorn Lande), but his two albums with Yngwie lacked catchy songs.
Sometimes i think i can play/sweep/nail appregios etc,sitting down practicing,then you look at this guy and think FUCK and this is EVERY song he's nailing this shit AND putting on a show'swing guitar etc,.I think it's easy to forget how AMAZING this guy is,i give up!!!!!!!!

Love this era of Yngwie with Mats on vocals! Wore this Live In Brazil VHS out in '98. The CD version has a different "Bedroom Eyes" solo. I much prefer the video version fills and outro.
