Ahh yes windows xp , what an amazing os, I especially love it when apps get stuck in a loop and keep running in the background until the thing completely pukes.
And after looping stops, the computer just shuts down. Very powerful OS.

The only reason newer versions of Firefox didn't work is that Peter didn't have Service Pack 3 which is required for newer programs. The PC probably had XP preinstalled, so he probably didn't know about service packs. Good video as always :)

You can download the unofficial SP4 on MajorGeeks, and you will get the majority of the updates from 2012-2013 + SP3
Edit: You also don't need SP2 in order to install SP3 or SP4
For fun, I pulled out and was trying to upgrade my old xp computer from sp2 to 3, and it kept getting stuck in the endless reboot. Sp4 same thing. I connected it to the internet, and over 200 updates later, I tried pack 3 again and it worked. I had to have the most outdated, outdated computer lmao. Double outdated.
And then it had over 100 more updates.

@@LegoWormNoah101Damn it’s been awhile. I have fixed! I now use it to use programs my new PC can’t handle. And Lego Island. It’s been in my house for awhile, and even if I don’t use it that much, I can’t live without it.

I grew up with Windows XP even though I was born in the mid 2000s
i have a vaio windows xp professional monitor. my grandma has a broken windows vista laptop, and my old windows 7 monitor became a windows 10 monitor on day one. might as well point out i have a broken windows 98 laptop as well.

sooooo cool thing I'm about to say for anyone who doesn't know. Even though the toon town servers are officially down someone has reverse engineered toon town to make it work on windows 10 and they have online servers once more. I don't know if it can be installed on windows xp still but you should try it out if that interests you at all

I still have that Gateway Computer, it was a Pentium 3, had Windows ME, which I upgraded to XP finally, 512 mb of ram DVD player, it cost $2700 in 2020. It will still run Photoshop, fast enough to use it.
Funnily enough, there was a time when they did sell internet browsers at the store.
But it was a dozen annoying floppy disks instead of a usb

There's an old version of SeaMonkey that can also be installed on Windows XP to browse the web
THIS. I've been using Windows XP for graphic design, gaming and web browsing until 2018 (PC had just 1GB RAM.. now I have a Ryzen rig with 16 gig xD), so I had to know some basics for XP in modern age.
This video kinda felt like Abraham Simpson pouring pancake dough into a CD changer :D
