As long as they stay safe. I want all the workers who are in charge of getting me places safely to be well paid, well rested and happy.

Question to you TPG. Are there any miles programs left through which you can book Emirates First Class, besides using Emirates Skywards miles? I know Japan Airlines no longer allows first class bookings.

These rules are cool, but don't expect your flight to be cheap. If the cancellation fines as proposed are put in, then you'll find fewer options and higher fares.

I may be in the minority, but I see the airlines in a tough position - they can downsize the number of flights they offer but their costs per flight increase. There are fixed costs that need to be paid whether you’re flying 400 aircraft or 300, not the least of which are the lease payments on the idle aircraft. I think they’re trying to manage in unstable conditions - no one wants to see bags piling up at airports. European airports were worse all summer long. Delays of international aircraft could be 6-7 hours. There can’t be as many people flying - prices have to go up. The proposed regulations are absolutely appropriate, but has to be a price tag - hotel rooms and potential refunds aren’t free. Rock-bottom economy class fares have to go up - flying someone roundtrip across the country for $350-400 doesn’t cover the cost of the jet fuel! (I am flying to on Turkish Airlines from Seattle to Riyadh in a few weeks - $800 fuel charge added to the ticket price😮)

Airlines should pay back much of the PPP money they were given.
