Just a heads up, I *DID* mistakenly call the '61 Strat a '63 Strat at first... forgive me, lots of guitars to keep in my head. It is a '61, and it is great. Hope you all dig it.
How dare you.
you rock Cooper...its a 2022 and we all know it bro!!
No problem Cooper.
The bold all caps "did" was more than enough.
@HOW TO DO IT Surely a case, they cost about $2200
Fiesta red with the rosewood fingerboard is my favourite combo for a strat. It is just simply stunning.
Exactly, mine tooo! Finally, a new American model in this configuration!!!!! Yeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssss
(ebony fretboard would be even better but ok Fender ;) it's perfect anyway ;)
it's the only one worth getting IMO, the other two finishes are boring and lack imagination.
@@MiguelMakesMusic They are historic recreations, not meant to have "imagination" for 2022
you and ten million others
That combi plays and sounds so good!
The American Vintage II ‘57 Strat is an Ash body in the Vintage Blonde finish (Alder Body for 2-Color Sunburst and Sea Foam Green). Thanks for mentioning which models are available in left-handed orientation.
Great sounding and I’m so happy they haven’t beaten them up (Relicking).
Well done! You really did a nice job of distinguishing the differences in the pups between the 57 and 61 Strats. Fender really hit some home runs on all these models. Looks like Im gonna be 2 grand lighter very shortly. Again, thanks for the great reviews.
Phenomenal playing as usual. I'm salivating over the Fiesta red strat. Just what I need, another guitar.
Thanks for letting us hear the true, clean sound of these guitars so we can properly compare them.
What a monster player! The demo video hands down. Been watching it over and over again. 😊
Definitely the demo video hands down. The demo I’ve ever seen.
You've outdone yourself on that tele 75 deluxe demo! Such beautiful playing, Cooper...
Great video on these latest vintage offerings from fender. For me the 50 BSB telecaster and 57 blonde stratocaster are my personal era of interest. I like what I’m seeing and hearing. Thanks for this video introduction and thanks to Fender for keeping things interesting perhaps a little redundant over last several years but none the less still going to bat to keep things interesting!
Amazing review, best one I've seen yet (and I've watch too many this morning!)
Well that playing was just straight out showing off. Absolutely amazing. Well done.
All sound and look great but that 51 Tele is magic and your arrangement on that was super spankin'. Nice!
Great reviews Cooper! Thanks!
I owned a real ‘73 Tele Deluxe in Mocha. GREAT guitar! The bridge saddles are narrow spaced compared to a Strat. The tuners are Schaller M6A moddified for Fender. Top appointments. I got mine for Christmas, brand new in 1974 when I was ten. AWESOME!
Hell yeah! These are ah-mazing. That was HOT Cooper!! Excellent reviews as always. Thank you!
Fantastic, tasteful playing across all of these models (especially the Telecasters).
You are the man Cooper! What a showing!!😮
Nice and smooth playing. Right fit tunes for the demo
Excited for this new line (and thankful for some left-handed models). I appreciate that you played styles contemporary to the time period of the guitar (i.e. rockabilly on the '51 Tele).
you guys are always doing a great job !
Great job Cooper! Thanks!
Great review, thanks
Thx for this great Video .. and : You are such a fine guitar player !
Great playing on this one (like always) but wow that 75 tele deluxe jam….. beautiful 😢
That ‘61 Sweetness. 👍
Hey Cooper! thanks for the cool demo video! I loved this! Interesting content! What a beautiful guitar lineup! Man, you made them sing!
Love your playing Cooper.
Love that ‘73 Strat so much!
Best presentation of the new line!, I like all of them I guess :O
Glad that the 51 Tele bridge pickup sounds broadcaster-ish (i.e., dark, compressed and midrangey) as those guitars were originally in 1950-51.
Nice guitars, nice playing, lefties available (!), and no distortion pedal in sight, great.
Awesome job Cooper
Love this new range !
OMG, there’s a Yamaha CP70 in the background!!! I really want one!
Great demo of these beautiful guitars!
If I were in the market I would have a really difficult time choosing one over the others. All look and sound really good.
Cooper with a tele is the excitement I need after a dull day of work.
YESSSSSS!!!!! A lefty in Fiesta Red!!!!!! with Rosewood and Clay Dot Inlays!!! I told my wife this will be my last Guitar!😁Thank you Fender!
DUDE!
You can make a Squire plugged into a Crate amp sound fantastic ahah!
Cool line of guitars…. It’s definitely nice they used the right woods ( aka Ash on Tele ) and also topped them off with Nitro so they’ll age real nicely too.
Some of them have that 7 radius too so I’d have to give one a try for sure before I’d pull the trigger on one but that’s just me.
Thanks for sharing Cooper 🤙
Picked up a '61 Strat in OW yesterday. It's a keeper I think...
I am strictly an acoustic player, but that blonde ‘51 Tele could get me to change my mind. Not just a guitar… a time machine, as memories just flooded back… I usually don’t care much what guitars looks like, but the Tele is an exception…. Gorgeous, and iconic tone!
THE ORIGINAL!!! YES
The thing here is that...
you are a Monster player! Like.. good lord!!!
Man you play so damn good🔥👍
Like the 63, the clay dots look ok great. I’m looking at the crimson red on mahogany 🤘
73 strat... I think i am in the minority that loves the CBS stratsand those sexy large pearl inlays...
I'm with you on the 73 strat. The big headstock with bullet truss rod nut is just a great look as far as I'm concerned.
fender offering a fiesta red strat in the normal line, about time.
The '72 Thinline reminds me of "the one that got away". In the mid 80's I had the chance to buy a '73 identical to this one, but I didn't have the $400.00 to take it home... still regretting it to this day!
I’m sure it’s on Reverb for 4k now. 😅
thanks for the clarification on the guitar sounding "hot" lol
Great video. Quick correction: the vintage blonde is ash, but the other 57 Strats are alder.
Fiesta Red Strat my dream guitar!!! I have a Squier and players ...this the next one! And then the ultimate one a Custom Shop One❤
i'm glad to hear what you do ! i always try and play guitar "clean tone" that's how to appreciate a guitar! you do great job in this way ! congratulation !!!!
Is that a Fender Blues Junior IV that you're playing through?
It sounds so perfectly beautiful. Are you plugged straight into it, and what speaker is in it?
Sorry for all the questions but damn, that was a beautiful tone.
I like 72 thinline Tele best. I suppose the wiring is modern on all of this new series ? Oh yes that s/b Telecaster at the end is wicked too.By the way they "are" sexy!
I understand these nitro finish have a poly undercoat? Would they still check like a vintage nitro or thin skin nitro finish if it has the poly undercoat?
Wish they had a faded sonic blue of the ‘61 Strat. I’d be saving right now for it.
Buy one of these and send it straight to a shop to be refinished! When you receive it from the shop then it will be like unboxing a brand new sonic blue American Vintage II!
Yes, totally!
Bugger, I want them all!
How does the 7.25 radius compare to the American Original 9.5 radius? Also, on the 50’s and 60’s Strat and Tele’s, what’s the depth of the necks ? The Fender website only mentions the neck shape, but not their measurements, are they as thick/ big as the American Originals?
That sound you’re hearing is the resale value of the American Original series slamming to the floor 😂
I'm surprised you didn't play the '77 Tele custom as it has the OG wide range and traditional tele bridge pickup, that's where its at
We haven’t received one yet! When we do, I’ll be jamming on it.
Hello Cooper please 57 Bust Mapple Neck or 61 Red Fiesta Rosewood? Thanks for the tips and nice videos
how do these compare to the custom shop?
The Blond Finish 57 Strat is Ash, the other two colors are Alder!
Got dammit that fiesta red sold me
Curious, of the new Vintage II releases, which is closest to a PLAYER PLUS STRATOCASTER HSS?
Hi Cooper, please advise what are those two numbers on the strat head?
Are the necks nitro finish too?
My MIM 72 Deluxe is my favorite guitar..and I even prefer the Wide Range HBs to the CuNiFe's
Do you think the 72 tele thinline can get the rich mellow jazz sound with the CuNiFe pickups? I know some of the other models that have the PAF type humbuckers pickups wil work but was interested in the 72 thinline tele.
Is it fender pro jr iv se amp on this demo ?
What's the difference between this and the Tele Ultra?
I’ve been really wanting a Tele deluxe that was exactly like the original releases. My wallet just screamed out in horror at this release. Also yes, the CuNiFe humbuckers have been available to purchase separately for a few months now I believe.
I have played one.... definitely worth it.
damn! i would love to see a shootout against the AmPro2. :)
What's the song at 19:25?
Damn, you play well. Do you have any stuff out there I can get to…
What amp did he use?
what is the weight of these strats?
Thank you for addressing us Lefties
3:38
so the internet experts tired to finish the 7.25 radius off the market. I'm glad it's back with a bang.
It might just be a sin that Cooper didn't get to demo the AVII Jazzmaster in this vid
Oh it’s comin’. IT’S COMIN’.
Heya guys!!
I'm targeting the '51 Tele. Would anybody have an experience playing it? Is it heavy compared to Alder bodies? Appreciate your comments in advance.
"It´s hot. I don´t mean that in a sexual way." That made me instantly click the like button.
'63 FR Strat....❤❤
Lol, Cooper G gone and made it awkward with the hot pickups!! 😂😂😂
no celluloid pickguards? : (
Please say me Fender steel guiter. How price? Fender Steel guiter is my favourite . I am a steel guiter player. Pls answer my question
How many 61 strats do you have in stock? I'm thinking of driving up there to get one!
We sold out of our initial order, but more are on the way!
Fantastic playing. Pity theres only butterscotch blonde in left handed tele. No surprise there. Why does Fender think left handed players only ever want that colour.
Happy for Joe 😄
It seems like everybody is going crazy for this Fiesta red strat. I just don’t like the combination Fiesta red with rosewood fretboard. Surf Green or Sunburst for me all the time.
Nothing mentioned about neck profiles
What sort of player or music would you say the '73 Strat is best suited for? Maybe more importantly, what is it not?
Now would you rather have the American original 60’s strat or a American vintage ii 61 strat?
Both
Is the 51 Tele swamp ash?
It is an Ash body!
What is different from the reasent vintera series?
I thinkbVintera are made in Mexico and these are supposed to be made in Corona California factory. I think the Vintera is less expensive too(They are fantastic instruments).
@@giulioluzzardi7632 Ok. Thanks. Yes, I own a vintera Baja Tele. Very happy with it.
@@ronnyskaar3737 Hi, yeah those Baja Tele's have a really good reputation and are pro quality!
No offense to anyone, but the new American Vintage II 1961 strat or 1957 strat would be my favorite guitars that Fender has come up with...if only they had a 9.5 radius and a soft V or medium C neck (the AV11 57 has a soft V but again an UNUSABLE 7.5 radius).
I don't understand why Fender doesn't have a Vintage series with more radius neck options.
I grow weary of the constant 7.5 radius necks that Fender puts out on this or the Road worn series or any other vintage style (non custom shop) series they make. I have had to replace every one of the necks on the vintage style strats I own with $400-$800 necks. A costly upgrade to be sure. That's not including replacing the zinc bridge and block or nut and pups. YIKES!
I have noticed that every single strat that Fender puts out these days for the exception of their custom shop guitars (which ALL seem to have thicker necks) or sig. guitars (excluding this series) has a C, modern C or deep C neck.
I love Fender, but I wish Fender would come up with an affordable vintage series like this, but with the afore mentioned changes.
One last point, these guitars are made in Mexico so then why are they so expensive? Ah well, If Fender did make these changes, I would most likely buy one in every color (regardless of the cost) and so would many of my musician mates, friends and students.
Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.
Cooper you always get a pass from me man. Your playing makes it all good man
Um but this guitar, it sounds hot. It sounds.. I mean..like not..sexually..uh but..ya know.....audio wise..lol
Awesome review on some awesome guitars!!!
I have an American Original 60's Strat and I wonder how it compares to the American Vintage II '61 Strat. Mine has the '65 gray bottom single-coils with fiber bobbins and Alnico V magnets, enamel-coated coil wire and cloth-covered output wires, and wax potting. There's no mention in the specs of the American Vintage II of any features like these.
Same thing year specific though to 61’ i just ordered this fiesta red strat and have an original 60’s strat so it’ll be cool to compare the two
@@jessesmith2906 EPIC!!!
@@jessesmith2906 hey please post a follow up on what your thoughts are after having played and compared both. I’m wondering what the difference in feel is on the neck since the new one is medium C while the AO is described as “deep C”. Also the difference of the ‘61 p/u compared to the ‘65
@@nazaretgil782 I’ll try to remember to get back to you, I’m still waiting on fender to ship it they’re being slow. But maybe give me a bump in 10 days
@@jessesmith2906 don’t forget!! Haha we neeeeed this! Lol
Is the 61 as fat and round C as the 73?
