Gotham FC's preparations for their NWSL final showdown against OL Reign were disrupted by an unusual menace during a press conference held on the eve of the big game.
Gotham forward Lynn Williams was speaking about her experience of being traded in the NWSL Draft when she cut off on comments to complain of an army of spiders crawling across her desk, microphone and computer.
Sat alongside teammate Ali Krieger who will be appearing in her final professional game before she hangs up her boots, the Gotham players asked for assistance from the press officer in getting rid of the arachnids.
