Thanks for covering the classic M.A.S.K line. If only Hasbro/Kenner would give it brand new attention.
Yeah, it would be a great line to get a revival.
Man….so many fond preschool memories of M.A.S.K.! I wanna say the Piranha with Sly Rax was my first toy in this line…I still have Sly Rax actually! My buddy and I always wanted Brad Turner and the Condor, too, and eventually got him. Also, I remember finding Scott Trakker and T-Bob at a local Laneco and my Gram buying it for me (Hell, she always bought me G.I. Joe figures there too! 😅). Such a great line. Great episode too!
Bulldog,Wildcat,Raven,Stinger,Switchblade and Manta are my favorite M.A.S.K vehicles
Im so happy I found this Channel.
I'm so happy you found us as well!
This show rules hope u have them back
Great episode! M.A.S.K. was awesome! Wish I still had my old collection.
My favorite guest are back!
Thank you!
I have about 90% of my star wars figures from growing up because my mom got me tackle boxes from walmart to keep the figures in each figure had a perfectly sized tray for themselves and what ever weapons they had. We learned real fast that you needed to keep all the little pices in a safe place lol
Yeah, I think a lot of kids loose the pieces because they aren't taught organizational skills, on top of just being kids.
Finally getting around to binging all these and the Video Game grading system is completely bullshit now because of a few big companies skewing the system to the benefit of literally nobody but themselves. That being said, this episode was delightful! These guys have so much knowledge and passion I love it 😊
Cheers!
I think in the IDW transformer comic books that's how blitzwing was made by venom
Also…making your own toys…man. The Kenner Indiana Jones ALWAYS eluded me at Toys R Us, yard sales and flea markets. I had a couple of the German Mechanic though that I got at TRU. Anyway, Bespin Han Solo and, a white cowboy hat I had from maybe a Mego Dukes of Hazzard figure became my Indy figure. 😅. Ended up finally getting a legit Kenner Indiana Jones at Q-Mart though many years later!
Oh a Q-Mart guys!
Fun stuff. I actually paused to go watch the cartoon opening to remind myself of the song. I only had a few MASK, but I had my favorite, the CONDOR.
The Condor was the right price for most kids to have it.
I ONLY had the mustache bad guy, so I teamed him with my Cobra legions as a “little person” villain.
Ha ha! Mini Miles Mayhem
Haha!
Fun episode!
Great chat. Never had any Mask back in the day. Oddly, I always wanted Condor more than anything else. I do remember looking at things like Boulder Hill and Rhino in the catalogues, but I think I fixated on Condor and then the Hurricane (which I now own of course).
They had some bright colors just before that became the norm for toys!
I remember having a figure of the mask swallowing dynamite and if you pulled his arms the belly expanded, I also had a the mask Car that had a big mouth as the front! Had forgot them, thanks for the reminder:)
Every movie line needs a crazy vehicle to help fill out the price points on a plan-a-grahm.
@@Pegwarmers yeah, as reliable as gravity. I think that the car might have been from the cartoon tho.... Dammit now I got to look it up :s down the rabbit hole I go. *edit: found the mask mobile, it was a toy from the movie*
Great episode!
Thanks!
I had the Mask toys, my friends had the Mask toys, we dug them 🤙
That's great! Are you a 90's kid?
@@Pegwarmers totally 🤘
I wish they made some demonstration of these M.A.S.K. toys for us to see
That's a good note. It's tricky because demonstrations are weird in the audio only versions of the podcast.
@@Pegwarmers let the listeners' imagination run wild then. I've listened to various instructions from AM/FM radios back in the day.
M.A.S.K. Was legit as a kid i had the truck and one of the guys. Talk Bravestarr soon i had Bravestarr and his horse lol
Brave Starr and 30/30
My favorite toy line of all time. They were so intricate. These must have cost a fortune to produce and engineer all the transformations. Do you know how they compared at retail with other toys? Maybe that kept them from selling as well as they should have at the time.
I think that's why we are unlikely to see a relaunch.
Thanks for talking M.A.S.K. Farpoint - that's in south jersey correct?
It was our pleasure to talk about MASK. Farpoint is in May's Lansing NJ.
@Matt Trakker, agreed, cool to see even more people supporting the classic M.A.S.K.! A Hasbro/Kenner retro reissue of several of the top selling M.A.S.K. figures/vehicles would be cool to see.
Rad episode. Hopefully you cover my favorite 80s line food fighters one day soon. There wasnt a peg warmer than Mattel ff in toy history.
Food fighters are cool!
Captain Power figures crumble out of the blister.
Oh yeah? I have some of them, but none I've pulled out of a pack recently.
Are we talking Indiana Jones and the last crusade style?
@@jamesgreen6877 Not sure how those do it but it's mostly the accessories and hoses that connect to some of the Captain Power figures. Masterson's wings as well as the Sky Sentry's are super brittle.
@@bigtone7913 I meant the movie, when the dude drinks the false grail and crumbles into dust
@@jamesgreen6877 😜🤣 Gotchu 🤣
Another knockout episode
M.A.S.K. never interested me growing up, it was a bit past my time, always felt like a poor mans Transformers, and since I was never exposed to the show I didn't care much for the human element. However thanks to the IDW verse and shows like this I have a certain appreciation for it. It's definitely a quality product and I hope it gains a renaissance through mass media
Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I had one of the Mask actions Figures
Awesome!
@@Pegwarmers Thank you man
Awesome episode
Thanks!
😍😍🤩
Almost positive I've been there if you guys are around the Hamilton mall
Shame, I was excited to hear them talk about the 90s The Mask…
We did. During the Pegwarmers segment.
@@pastadinnertheater8657 12:28 - Jim Carrey The Mask toys are a joke/segment in an episode about M.A.S.K.
