Do you have to have a inspector to look at the work in garage so it’s up to code? I had to do that with work inside my house

Yes, generally. With major changes like electrical it’s wise to get a permit and have the inspector check it out to make sure you use the right breakers, cabling, and receptacles, etc. There are exceptions so always check your local department of licensing and permits :) At the end of the day it’s all about safety and ensuring you and your home is safe and protected using today’s standards.
