    Do not update you won't have key features. They're making us a beta testers. It's a total mess

      Still broken. Nothing works in this nightmare app. I am eagerly waiting for a new company to jump in and create an app that would at least save my (significant) hardware investment.

    DO NOT UPDATE! they removed access to NAS servers! Alarms and more! Most likely they will make you upload your music to their own cloud and then nickel and dime you for accessing your own music from your own home!

    New/updated app is a total mess. Cannot find most of my speakers in the ecosystem and plays in isolation where I can’t control speaker volume, skip or stop… I switched from Bose to Sonos for this very reason. And now Sonos too?
    How do I revert to the previous app?
    TOTAL MESS!!!!!

    I cannot recommend the update at this faulty stage and I don't understand how Sonos can release something like this.
    The entire system is now running extremely slowly and unstable, important functions are missing: There is no alarm anymore, the sleep timer has also been removed, playlists are often not displayed, no volume indicators on the main screen, NAS cannot be integrated anymore, and the connection to services like TuneIn doesn't work at all. No more skipping back and forth within a track, no in queue-function, album covers disappear, favorite lists cannot be sorted, all components are repeatedly not found and therefore cannot be controlled anymore. The hardware buttons of my device are also non-functional, and nothing is displayed on the lock screen or dropdown menu anymore! The result is a largely unusable system. We are not your beta testers, Sonos! This update delivers the same flaws in a new package and on top of that a dozen new ones! Unbelievable... wow...!

    Disgusting update! Fix ASAP! All the things people are shouting. Who the heck decided which features to add/remove. CLEARLY they didn't get the advice from paying customers! All of a sudden I have a $7K sound system in my house that is 1/4 as useful as it was before the update! Infuriating! No alarm access? Worse playlist management? Like I can't simply add a new song to an existing playlist? WTF? 🤬 You say the new update gives you "Complete control...", yet quanrifiably it gives me LESS control and only limited options.

    DO NOT UPDATE ! I wish I had been warned about how totally unusable this new app is. Sonos, please listen to what people are saying and allow your customers to revert to the S2 app.

    Such a botched update release. Why so much marketing for something that would just piss us off and regret it. With this much of a push, it seemed like it was going to be a home run to update. I definitely lost trust with Sonos.

    Do not Update!
    This app is a mess and missing so many basic functions that it can‘t even be called „Beta“.
    Need sleep timers, or alarms, or editable playlists, or want to play local files from your network?
    Well, Bad luck! All removed or disrupted.
    …and lets not start to mention the loads of new faults like not editable WLAN settings. Who would need that on a wireless product anyway…
    Go call or mail the SONOS support and tell them what you think of such a great job.

    Please explain how the new app is faster easier and better? It’s slower, crashes and doesn’t work frequently and has less features.

    Mine crashes out all the time, search is ruined. It’s horrible … can I revert to S2 please? That worked … this is junk.

    I gotta say as bad as this update is (missing features, buggy, awful organization...) I'm impressed with how many people Sonos has appeared to pay/barter with for good PR. Nearly every youtube video and article is positive (overwhelmingly so), the comments are not at all in line with the "unbiased" reviews lol. My personal experiences are def more in alignment with the comments.

    What is the point of gradually reimplementing all the missing features if the app (June Version 80.03.03) still doesn't work?
    Terrible performance with up to 10 seconds delay (volume, playlist, startup, etc.), components constantly crashing out of the system (stopping only possible via hardware buttons), app freezes, TuneIn still very buggy with numerous contents not accessible, NAS integration still not possible, wake-up radio station disappearing from the system, no volume indicator, no widgets, no control via lock screen, no control via status bar (despite enabled notifications), and much more...
    Sonos, please finally provide your customers with a rollback to the old S2!

    This app is so bad it’s reason enough not to buy sonos. Don’t update if you were planning to use alarms as they don’t work in the updated version. Seems to be rocket science.

    Thanks for making my one sl set sound like a speaker eq with a smiley curve . Bass ,treble and now recessed mids . Good one Sonos besides everything else wrong with the app

    Please release an update with the bugs gone! 🙏🙏 My Sub Gen3 won't connect no more. The app crashes all the time when i try to connect with it...

    It is downright immoral and reflective of a rotten corporate culture at Sonos that they try to push new product (headphones) when they have just severely downgraded the functionality of their expensive existing hardware by releasing a botched new app.

    How can they be so stupid? Did they really think people wouldn't care about all the missing features? I hate this update. I'm really regretting buying these speakers. I'm sure they are losing a lot of customers over this pathetic update.

    There is a workaround! I updated the app on my phone and messed up my system, but the S2 app on the iPad still has full functionality on the same Sonos system. If you are lucky enough to have another device with the S2 app, you can re-gain the functionality of your existing system. The issue is the new app not the products itself.Bad decision on Sonos's part to roll out the new update like this, an optional S3 app would have been a much better option. The should face a class action lawsuit.

    Ive been trying to make a playlist since one month now, but its not possible. The function is locked to the que list and the que wont load. Sonos is blaming my connection. Its not my wifi... my wifi connection is superb. The new sonos app though is pure feces.

    What are Sonos doing, this latest release is a joke, totally unusable. Obviously UX not their priority for this, I mean did they even do any QA? Definitely not buying anymore Sonos products until they fix this or at the very least acknowledge they messed up and roll back to previous version!

    Really clunky Sonos! Even just trying to select tv volume when you have been playing music on a different group of speakers!! Not smooth at all - you have to go to the main drop down and see all speakers, then select the arc. Intuitive? I think not!!..

    I can confirm, as of right now (Aug 29, 2024): this new Sonos app is still horrible. Difficult to use, missing basis functions (e.g., volume adjustment - linked to phone volume buttons, no gadget on home screen, can not automatically play the next song in my playlists, etc.) and extremely unreliably performance, sometimes my speakers do not produce any sound even though the app says music is playing, etc.

    This update is the worst ever. And three months in, you still have not fixed it. I have spent a significant amount of money on sonos hardware, but I will never but anything from you guys again. Treating customers like this is totally unacceptable.
