One of Britains greatest female singers.
Along with Annie Lennox
The real deal
She was my generations Adele.....
Good way of putting it.
Don't you mean Adele is this generations Alison Moyet
@@riewoldt12not even close
No one can compare to Alison
Came here to say the very same thing!
Alison Moyet - *ALL CRIED OUT* and/or *LOVE RESURRECTION*
All cried out…love it
Plus Ordinary Girl, a real banger!
First song I heard by her was For You Only. That's one of my favorites.
Love those!
@@isadorealire5722 Oh YES, 'For You Only' is a must
All Cried Out and Old Devil Called Love are both gorgeous songs.
She recorded a remake of Billie Holliday’s “That Ole’ Devil Called Love” in 1985 and blew us all away. It was a blues standard. She also had hits with “All Cried Out” and “Love Resurrection.”
And Jay and Amber, the musical arrangement you will absolutely love.
‘All Cried Out’ is a must. So glad you’ve found her.
Sometimes we Americans aren’t aware of how popular some of the British artists are. Alison’s worldwide album sales have reached a certified 23 million, with over two million singles sold. All nine of her studio albums and three compilation albums have charted in the top 30 of the UK Albums Chart, with two of them reaching number one. She has also achieved nine top 30 singles and six top 10 hits on the UK Singles Chart. Her most recent album, her ninth, Other, was released 16 June 2017. She’s an icon.
America has missed out on some of the best music and artists of the last 60 years ... utube is allowing Americans to see just what they missed, especially UK music which has been the best during those 60 years
I was lucky enough to grow up in the 80's Alison Moyet was, and still is, different class.
And....she looks PHENOMENAL now....and her voice is still the same. Really! She is that good!
Yep … she looks great and the voice has aged beautifully. Ino her last 2 albums were probably the best of her career.
All Cried out by Alison Moyet an awesome track ,
Jay & Amber, you'll Love her "Love Resurrection" !!!
Yes a great song
Yes.
Agreed!
They were Yazoo in Europe and Yaz in the U.S.
Always on my Shuffle!
Great song with very suggestive lyrics! 🙂
I LOVED Alison, like Annie Lennox, two brilliant female vocalists of the era ❤
Alison was the singer with the band Yazoo. Her voice is incredible!
#1 Moyet - This House!!!!
"Is This Love" is another amazing sing of hers.
Her album ALF is one of the best albums ever made IMO. Her vocals are just incredible.
My mum went to an Alison Moyet concert in the 80's and she's still talking about how great it was.
I would have loved that. 😁
I saw Alf doing a gig in Bilericky b4 she was in Yazoo she was brilliant I'd love to be able to say I thought she would be as big a start as she became but there were a hell of a lot of good bands that never made it sadly
"Is This Love" by Alison Moyet and also agree with the "Love Resurrection" comments love that instrumental reminds me of something youd hear in an 80s movie so nostalgic
To some of us Brits, she's a national treasure .
For me as young teenager Yazoo was all about the music.
Alison Moyet was all about her incredible voice.
Hi Guys greetings from England 🇬🇧 Alison Moyet has been a solo singer in The UK since 1984 and she truly is a great singer with such a powerful voice and Alison is still going strong and performing across The UK and you should check out her singing the song "LOVE LETTERS" which really shows off Alisons voice.
🇬🇧 FINALLY!!! YES. You guys have no idea how long ive been asking for this reaction. You're gonna love it. 💕🎶🎼
Me too, huge fan!
And me! Knew they’d love her, who wouldn’t
@@karengray662 exactly, who wouldn't? She's amazing. 👍
I still have this album "ALF". It was an excellent album. To think it's 40 years ago this year it came out. I was 22 years old.
Really love Yaz’s “Nobody’s Diary”. Alison’s voice is wonderful on that track. Synthy-heartbreak.
Love that one. It’s on my playlist.
Moyer is most underrated female vocalist I know
Underrated with 23 mill sale 😜
Thank you for that Amber and Jay, Alison Moyet, along with Annie Lennox, had the most powerful, strongest voices of the 80's. 👍🏻♥️🙏 God Bless You Both and your families
I've only heard "Invisible" a handful of times since it was released 40 years ago, but Alison Moyet's angst has left a deep and lasting impression.
Exactly the same here.
Her duet with Paul Young at Live Aide was incredible 🇬🇧
Absolutely stunning artist. No reality tv, no doing things for "likes", not having to mold yourself to look "good" for the camera. Just pure vocal talent & skill. Brilliant artist indeed. Absolutely love "weak in the presence of beauty" too. Great choice.👌🏻😍
One of the best singers of the 80's
Alison Moyet and another of your favourites, Lisa Stansfield, are two of our best English singers.
Another shout for these two by Alison: All Cried Out and Love Resurrection.
I'm so glad you finally got to Alison Moyet's solo work. She is incredible, and still making music today. If you really want to see the blusey/jazzy side to her, listen to her cover of That Ole Devil Called Love. Other great songs are All Cried Out, Love Resurrection, Twisting the Knife, Is This Love. I could go on, but those are the highlights.
Weak in the presence of beauty another great song
If all current artists could sing like Alison Moyet...... Vocoder would be out of business today! Simply incredible then and still is now!!
Wow, well this is a very pleasant surprise! Alison is one of the cooler voices from the 80s, and responsible for one of the biggest dance tracks of that decade - "Situation", recorded when she was part of the group Yaz (or Yazoo). This first solo single is my favorite recording of hers, still gives me the feels. Great reaction as always!
This is my jam and I couldn't click fast enough when I saw the thumbnail. Honey For The Bees, For You Only, Love Resurrection and All Cried Out are bangers!!! I'm amazed she and Yaz/Yazoo weren't bigger.
I haven’t heard this song in ages. One of my favorites at the time 😊
I love her voice so much!
Alison is a Gem.
This has to be one of my "mostest favoritest" songs not just of the 80's but of all time! Alison Moyet is so underrated it's shameful. "Is This Love", "Whispering Your Name", "All Cried Out".
"Steal Me Blind" "Love Letters" are excellent!
An incredibly, underrated vocalist.
“Steal Me Blind” is another powerful vocal performance from Alison!
Alison is brilliant
Alison Moyets version of love letters is amazing too.
Her voce is amazing All cried out Is this love also
take a loo at her how she looks now! she is gorgeous
ALISON MOYET!!!!! Is This Love, All Cried Out, That Ole Devil Called Love, Weak In The Presence Of Beauty, Love Letters!!!
All Cried Out was such a great song for those times when you need a song like that.
This House by Alison Moyet is a tearjerker
I forgot how talented she was
All cried out is one of my favourites
This song is from Alison Moyet's album "ALF" which went to number 1 in the UK. It's one of the best 80's album's up their with Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell", Men at Work's "Business As Usual", Roxy Music "Avalon", Spandau Ballet "True" and Split Enz "Waiata" (Split Enz became Crowded House). If you really want to immerse yourself in 80's music those are the albums to listen to.
also Paul Hyde and the Payolas....Elvis Costello.....
Alison deserves all her flowers and more ❤
I like her she has a touch of class
Have suggested this and waited for it! An absolutely fantastic voice! Didn’t always get the recognition she deserved.
LOVE RESURRECTION is a MUST Alison Moyet reaction!
Love resurrection guys is a must.
VOICE OF THE 80S
Before there was any “Adele” there was this, only better.
Omg... haven't heard this in so long! Iove this song!!
So much passion, emotion and power in her voice!
All cried out a great Alison Moyet song.
Finally Alison Moyet! Don't you just love her? Next please, Weak in the presence of beauty, All cried out, Love ressurection,That ole devil called love
She's groovy. That entire album is very good.
Truth. I paid my own money for this album and sang the heck out in my room.
What a singer what a song great choice
As well as previously mentioned songs her cover of that old devil called love is excellent.
All Cried Out and Love Resurrection are must-listens!!!
One of the best singers EVER!
Alison and Kate.biash were my favourite female singers growing up in the 80s
She has had a very successful solo career and still going strong - love her
Is This Love…….was her biggest hit
YES!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!
Absolutely love Alison aka Alf you’ll love all cried out also old devil called love 😊 fyi she still sounds this awesome now 😍
Alison Moyet performing on Live Aid with Paul Young - you must see her performance to millions around the world on that great day Saturday 13 July 1985
YES!!! The is my favorite Alison Moyet song. Everything she does is fantastic!
She came into a place I was working at many years ago, she is a really nice person.
That lady sure can sing.
I always liked this song in how she conveys her hurt and tearing apart inside.
Great first Alf - I would also suggest Honey For the Bees.
I was a nanny in London when this album came out - so it's SO very evocative.
I LOVE that song.
Fantastic Alison Moyet! 🖤
You MUST listen to her rendition of Love Letters ❤️❤️❤️
"Don't Go" and "Situation" by Yaz features Alison!
Yazoo
They're already done don't go
One of the UK’s best female vocalists. Her voice is impeccable. The depth the growl. Just takes me right back to my youth listening to Sundays Radio 1 Top 40 countdowns. Taping the songs I loved. 🇬🇧❤️
totally underrated in my opinion..........
Oh my God! I won a lip sync contest singing this song in 1984!! I love her and this song. Won $250! And was actually going through a breakup with my boyfriend. Lots of similar experiences in this song!
Loved me some Alison Moyet!!
An incredible voice who never got the recognition she deserved.
Love you Alison ❤!!!
And I was a Metal Head when I listened to you! 🤘😝🤟👊🏼
Alison Moyet "Yazoo!" Don't go" one of the best club songs ever!
She has an incredible voice. Always love Alison
She was amazing and she wasn't recognized in North America the way she should have been. Power soul. Canadian Grandma Lori. C.
Finally Alison Moyet!!!!! Try her song solid wood!!!! This just scratches the surface. She has an amazing catalog of music.
Alison Moyet the Adele of the 1980's as we brits refer to her as, incredible singer, "all cried out" "weak in the presence of beauty" & "only you" are 3 top songs from her, in truth you picked one of her weaker songs to react too, the 3 i mentioned will show you exactly what Alison can do.
All cried out, Love Resurrection and Honey to the Bee!
one of those many great songs to come out from the best decade....80s
My favourite “That Old Devil Called Love”, very bluesy
You should listen to her songs with Yazoo from the 80’s, a duo with Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode & Erasure). Try their huge hit “Only You”. Their album “Upstairs at Eric’s” is full of hits that helped shape the 80’s New Wave scene.
Absolutely agree. Three of my favorite groups.
I take it you just skip over the bits with them talking.
@@thegroovetube3247NEVER, it adds to the albums!!!
Surprised this was not in a John Huhges movie.🎉
Right??
FINALLY doing some alt artists again! LOVE her voice!
She is my all-time favorite singer! I even named my bard in Everquest after her. I would love to know what you guys think of Love Resurrection. ❤️ thanks Amber for introducing people to Allison!
Yes!!! I LOVE this album and especially this song!!!
This song was written by legendary Motown composer Lamont Dozier (of the composing trio known as Holland Dozier Holland).
Absolutely right
the unique voice of YAZOO..... amazing voice and great artist with so many cool hits..... this is one their greatest
The entire album is amazing
Yep!
