Porter Robinson - Lifelike (introduction to Nurture) is a masterfully done introduction to the soundscape, feelings, and sincerity of the album.
I love the opening to my beautiful dark twisted Fantasy
Motor Spirit by King Gizzard is a great opener. It sets the scene perfectly for the album; the feel and sound of it is perfect, it begins the story amazingly and it transitions really well into the next song. Crumbling Castle is another really good opener of theirs.

Emily Montes’ song EmiLy being the only S tier, as well as the only song on the tier list, is a strange decision but I respect y’all’s opinions nonetheless.
American Pie is an incredible album. The title track, Till Tommorow, Vincent, Winterwood, Empty Chairs, and The Grave are all fantastic. Graydon's disrespect on the name of Don McLean is tough.

"Farewell Transmission" by Songs: Ohia is a perfect opener in my opinion. It was also recorded in a single take which is crazy. The Magnolia Electric Co. is one of my favorite albums of all time so if this song gets into the next video I would be ecstatic

My favorite opener is the end my chemical romance, the theatrics of that song pull you into the bombastic album so well
I think One More Time is a good intro just by the philosophy that it is not telling you to spin it again, it is *responding* to the fact that you *did* spin it again

Tim Hecker has some incredible first tracks throughout his discography. Song of the Highwire Shrimper, Rainbow Blood, Prism, The Piano Drop, Music for Tundra, Acephale, Monotony - he just knows exactly where to drop the listener before guiding them along the rest of the journey.

Sugar/tzu by black midi is a great opener
Long Time off of Die Lit is prob one of the best intro songs to an album
I know they'll never talk about her since she's primarily popular in Australia and NZ (if I'm not mistaken) so I want to throw Kimbra's 'Settle Down' out into the void of CZcams comments. Vows is one of my favorite albums of all time and that first track is just a stupid good intro and standalone track. Starts with this quiet acapella bit that seamlessly transitions into the background as the rest of the sound spills in. And the drop into the hook is just fucking unbelievable. I highly recommend that entire album to everyone.
And yes, it is *that* Kimbra; the one with the feature on 'Somebody That I Used to Know'.
was really hoping to see genesis by justice, it perfectly introduces the sound of the album with its sound design and creative use of samples, while also capturing the drama they were after with an "opera disco'' album

Great call on In Regards To Myself by Underoath. I think those are the sound of projector reels spinning and then it goes so hard. Perfect opener for that album.
I would also submit another Radiohead song with 15 Step to open In Rainbows. That’s a song that gets stuck in my head constantly.

if you like great pop albums with perfect intro songs, you need to get into maisie peters. one of my favorite things about her is the way her intros are always a title track that perfectly encapsulates the album. the intro on her second album, the good witch, is so so perfect to me, especially the way it calls back to the intro on the first album, you signed up for this
