saw this movie a couple months ago for the first time in about 12 years. considering that i can quote it front to back, having watched it dozens of times through my childhood, i was blindsided on this recent watch by how positive and sweet and uplifting the whole story is. it's just jack black encouraging kids to push their boundaries and believe in themselves for an hour and a half. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

school of rock is my one favorite movie, but my other is Ferris Bueller's Day Off so maybe that could be a fun one to review! In a similar vein of goofy comedies though, I think an Adam Sandler flick like Big Daddy or Billy Madison would definitely be fun!

I love this movie and have so many great memories with it. Saw this in theaters when I was 7. I watched this with my best friends after our friends funeral. We felt so weird and listless and I think the movie just felt so perfectly comforting for that moment. I love this movie so much, there are lines I’ll never forget. Truly wholesome in the most incredible way.
