  • When certain atmospheric conditions combine, dust from the Saharan desert of Africa can be whipped up into the air by storms and carried thousands of miles before falling to the earth in raindrops.
This often most recognisable when the raindrops land on surfaces such as windows and cars and evaporate leaving a trail of dust.

You must be confusing pollen with Saharan dust. The dust cloud is only a mid to late spring occurrence in Florida . Once the summer rainy season in Florida begins, it washes all the mineral rich dust down into the soil where it’s used up by plants.
