Thank you, getting older and lazier, bought a lot of new trim, when I could of probably have buffed 80% of it. Ran into the usual surprises where someone thought they were helping by siliconing the window edge, maybe because of a leak, but stuck to the back of the trim, and blocking proper run- off of water, making little rusts pockets, rusting the tiny clip posts. Did the major bone head move and cracked the windshield trying to remove the trim, coming in from the roof side, instead of window, like u did. I have a '72 custom, so it has every possible piece of trim. possible.
This is very helpful. I have a 70 Elky and my windows are leaking in heavy rain. So I'm going to try and seal them. But I don't want to destroy the trim in the process. Thank you Sir!

A nice trick to get that drip rail trim off Louisiana way is to use a beer bottle opener it works great.
