Lol i just did my exams this year. Just because your in year 9 and your getting those grades, it doesn’t mean it will be consistent. For me, I was getting 6’s/7’s in year 9 and by the end, I was getting 5’s/4’s. The little tests you take in maths and science or other subjects are based on units. The exams are based on everything. With the stress you are given taking 28 exams with each exam being on multiple units, it becomes way harder than year 9 tests. These results may not be ideal now but after giving it your all and being extremely exhausted emotionally and physically, you become glad you got them.
@@Danyal_ 5 and 6s aren't even that high. Funny thing is I got 6-7s but I only ever needed 4s to get to where i wanted to go.

I’ve always been more academic (i.e. can’t draw for shit, exercise isn’t a strong point) and I put in tonnes of effort and am overjoyed with my results. It doesn’t really seem real. Congratulations on your results + anyone else who got theirs today! It’s been tough being the guinea pig year BUT WE DID IT!!!

Helin Yildirim I got the highest grades possible in my SATS and have always been in top sets but my secondary school was in a really deprived area. I revised a fair amount for most subjects, although I didn’t revise much for maths at all (which has always been my best subject- I taught myself algebra in year 3)
Your struggle with maths is the exact same as mine! It’s never been my strong point, English has always been my better subject- I cried after every maths exam and was fully expecting to open that envelope today and see a U. I actually broke down into tears when I saw the number 5 next to maths!! But well done, you did amazing!! You should be very proud!🎊 X

I struggled getting my maths C for ages just like you...I re-sat the exam around 3 times and always came out with D’s...however, I did manage to get my C yesterday in which I was over the moon with, even though I got A’s and B’s in other subjects my maths C meant to most to me as I’d been trying to get it for so long...keep on trying and if your offered another Re-Sit get all the help you can and you will do it!!!!x

I got a 3 in maths aswell and I'm so sad about it i worked hard but i hate maths an maths is one of the most important subjects so it really frustrates me.after the exam i was confident but i just feel like I've wasted so much time and energy for nothing. kinda gave up on science in the end, also i really wasn’t expecting to get a 6 in history! in year 10 assessments i used to get 8s in history but in year 11 i lost interest and got a 2 in my mocks. i didn’t do any revision for history except from in lessons and it really surprised me when i managed to come out with a B!
i’m really happy with my results because now i can say that i got 3 A’s, 2 B’s, 5 C’s and a D

Young lass, if you want to pass GCSE Maths find a website called `Examsolutions.`
Start with the section on Indices and then go on to the section on Trigonometry. After studying those two sections I think you are almost guaranteed to pass GCSE Maths.
I`m sure you`ll also find some sections on Algebra which will be entirely comprehensible to you and so boost your grade.

Honestly watching this has made me chill so much. I've actually had such a hard time with my gcses and everyone always made feel so bad about my grades but watching this made feel less alone and that as long as I try I can't do any more. Xxx

Anna Hicking honestly just start when you go back to school! maybe just around christmas time you should be going through things :) i struggled with maths and came out with a C, you’ll be fine... use corbettmaths for resources!
hey, i just got my results a few days ago and i was in exactly the same boat as you are in terms of being in the lower class. i ended up getting a high B(a 7 i think?), the maximum grade i could get for the exam level i did. apart from my GCSEs i’ve never, ever passed a maths exam my entire time at secondary school. so my biggest piece of advice is: GET A TUTOR! a lot of us in bottom maths classes think we’re hopeless, but i was genuinely shocked at the leaps and bounds i made after only a handful of sessions with a tutor (i got 6 sessions, one a week). it was literally the best educational decision i’ve ever made. i’d advise also doing past papers and stuff, but nothing beats having someone with you one-on-one to tackle your issues- and this is coming from someone with social anxiety. i learn things better in short bursts, so i got my tutor near the exams so things in my head would stay fresh. but if you aren’t like that, i’d recommend getting a maths tutor as soon as you can!!
Just done loads of pass papers, first go on maths genie and do all the topic booklets from grade one up to the grade you wanting to achieve after that mark them and see what yout weakest subjects are and revise them throughly then do a past paper mark that and any questions you get wrong do the topic of the question youv got wrong

I'm so surprised at your beginning message, I assumed for some reason you were really smart. Honestly though, testing like this isn't everything. Know you can be a very successful inspired person without high marks.
What happen for you in graphics happened to me in technology, my teacher said my course work as an A but ended up as a B and I got a D in the exam so I ended up with a C which I'm really upset about so I'm getting it remarked as in close to a B

6 marks is sadly too many for a remark. They only do 3 max if you were off
I failed maths last year by 12 marks and luckily i spoke to the head of maths and got him to let me resit in novemeber and passed. I wouldn't of passed these new ones since they are much harder. lol
