You should both be so proud of the results you have, and I completely understand how it feels to be disappointed. I was really upset when I got my results back in august and even though certain subjects I got really high grades, it still really hurt me because the subjects I wanted to do well in I had let myself down most in. Success is relative, people who choose to tear others down based on their grades really aren’t going to go far in life at all because they can’t understand everyone’s work ethic is different. People have the right to be happy and disappointed with any results! Good luck to anyone doing exams this year, and good luck to you both in your college courses hope they are going well x

i have watched loads of these videos and this is the first one i enjoyed. it was so much more realistic then all the posh people with expensive tutors getting all 9's. i mean good for them but you guys tried so hard and although you might be slightly disappointed you guys did great!!!

I’m not posh at all but my school is one of the top 50 in the country so people in my set are expected to get no less than a 7. That’s simply the standard for us. I don’t have a tutor or anything, but my school holds mandatory after school interventions every day for Year 11s. I understand that some people are more privileged but grades like these typically happen as a result of terrible revision and apathy towards one’s future. That is no one else’s fault but your own.
Us 2020 kids wont be able to do this now, its depressing and we legit have 1-2 days of school left EVER

Hey everyone i don't really know why I'm watching these videos since im a Law Student at university... but I've noticed a lot of the commenters are super young so this is my advice coming from a 20 year old: gcses really aren't that important. Trust me, they don't set you for ANYTHING other than college and you have a lot of chances after them. If you fix up in college, you'll be fine. Employers will only look at your degree and your work experience. They won't care about results from 10 years ago. I wish my stupid hs teachers told me this when I was still in school.

I’d say that I wish I would’ve focused more in lessons instead of letting people distract me and I wish I would’ve balanced out my revision at home rather than putting all my effort into certain subjects☺️ - Emily
I would recommend making flash cards for all subjects with key info bullet pointed. Also write the steps for the required practicals and go over them until you learn them. Past papers too!! Top tip: DONT STRESS - you will overthink the smallest things when you’re actually right in the first place. Trust you know it, you’ve been studying for years! - Anna

I’m just gonna say this to the class of 2020, I revised the day before each exam, I crammed and after I came out of most of them I thought it went terrible because they were all extremely hard but I came out with grades that I had no idea I would get.. also I thought my science grade was the marks as well thinking i had failed it until I realised 😂
Guys if u worked hard for ANY EXAM OR TEST and unfortunately u did not get the best grades or even failed ,ITS ok pls don't be disappointed or upset cuz it's jus fate it was probably best for u and there are definitely more.oppurtunities out their :(

I’ve seen that most people are afraid to open their results in the UK especially, such as in GCSES or A Levels, whilst in Romania you check it like a minute after they appear so as to actually see them, because the platform crashes like 5 minutes after

You guys don't ever stress about GCSE's, if you didn't pass you get to do it again, I think up to 3 times.
When you get older then there's A levels which is very important if you want to go to university. GCSE's are there if you want to do an apprenticeship and not continue doing A level and also if you want to work and not go to college, even with that they will only ever look at maths and English (it also varies depending on what you wanna do) please don't over stress yourself in any exam but work as hard as you can and remember to applaud yourself for working hard ❤️❤️ you will all do amazing no matter

Citizenship is a bit weird because I have got 8s and 7s in little mini tests but a 2 in a proper exam, but I didn't get the help everyone else had because I was sent out if the classroom during the test

I'm in top set English, middle set maths, bottom set science and citizenship (same group) but I may be moving up to improve my behaviour but not many of my friends are in there so I am desperately trying to improve

Please ignore anyone telling you that GCSE's don't matter- they do and as you begin to have dreams you're going to realise just how well you must do at your exams to reach them. Pick whatever you want and make sure you get good at your subjects in general from now on.
and avoid getting sent out, as you get older most schools try to move you elsewhere due to behaviour further jeopardising your chances
Thank you so much, I am trying to take school more seriously now. But it's annoying because some of my teachers are idiots. For example the other week I got sent out of geography for asking to borrow a pen of the teacher. I got on well with geography and my teacher knew that I tried hard in his subject because I behaved well and he is a behaviour person and knows what goes on regarding my behaviour. But he thought I was being rude for some reason, even though I didn't backchat him or anything which I probably would if i didn't get on with the teacher. Things like that bug me because my immediate reaction is 'you're an idiot I'm going to misbehave for you now' and it's a recurring pattern in my behaviour- teacher does somehing stupid and annoys me so I misbehave. But as a whole I have improved my effort and behaviour since last year and I'm still working on it:)
Some teachers discipline and behaviour systems are totally ridiculous though, yesterday I had citizenship and I did all my work and it was over a page of writing, and because I forgot to underline my title, he ripped the whole page out and I had to redo the WHOLE THING

You're Lucky, At my school you need in triple science 5-5-4 to do Applied Science. Or or in Combined 5-5. You need a 5 in Maths as well to do it at My school but you can get away with it for English as you only need a 4. I want Applied Science as Exams i hate. Also, i Want to do a Degree in Pharmacy and Applied Science will Directly get me that.
