I first heard this album in the '60's in Japan. Wow, what great player Chet was! Love these timeless hymns.
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard and I have been around guitars my whole life . It's absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Well, I was in the 2nd grade when Mr. Chet recorded these gems! To the Lord, a day is a thousand years and a thousand years is a day! Wow! The circle will not be broken in the sweet by and by. We will all encircle the King's throne, together, forever!!!

I can only praise the Almighty God for skill ability n talent given us for good use in appreciation to him how sweet his love n goodness.
Chet Atkins, who was the guitarist for the Carter family, never sounded betterthan he does on Back Home Hymns.
Praise Jesus for this man and his talents. I hope he is with Jesus now and not the bad place!

Charlie McCoy usually played harmonica on all his recordings.
He was the session guy in Nashville for just about every record made during that time.
I don't know if you're familiar with the mono and stereo designations of the old RCA albums. LPM would be mono. This is the stereo release, so it would actually be LSP-2601. Some people might not listen thinking this is the mono version.
