- I paid $300 for a Comprehensive Facial Aesthetics Report from Qoves. This was incredibly fun and I highly recommend it if you either have some extra cash and are into this sort of thing or are thinking about more advanced cosmetic changes. This report is great for Looksmaxxing aka Maximizing your attractiveness.

I heard a quote from a plastic surgeon once, "You know the difference between beauty and ugliness? Millimeters."
That's a good one, facts.
@@The.ModernMan bro, you look good naturally, you don't need surgeries
Qoves channel talks about how he thinks it seems there are more attractive people in modern days because of social media that puts all good looking ppl at the top (like more exposure to them)
Personally I think it's not really true. Beauty standards did change over time. Also they don't take into account things like make up, filters, photo edit and plastic surgery as many of pictures shown as examples had make up or photo edit.
In real life, those same people often look average like really normal people you'd interact with on daily basis.
Same effect for gym influencers body looks stunning in pictures to the point people think they take drugs when it's all just preparation.
Qoves has a certain idea of what's attractive that I don't necessarily agree with, kind of just like sexual dimorphism. It has lot to do with cultural influence of what makes men or women who they are. (east asians don't necessarily have a big sexual dimorphism within their phenotype, yet, many finds them attractive) it doesn't mean that a man looks feminine that he will not necessarily attract anyone. Or if you look at squid game, the women who played the role of Kang Sae-byeok, to me, had some masculine features, but it complimented well with the rest of her overall appearance.
He also mention how he thinks skin color doesn't represents attractiveness because it correlates more with social status, but it's not necessarily the case, it's one of the traits that makes one attractive, it seems they are just trying to be mindful politically correct.
The % of fat in the past also correlates with social status and perception of what's attractive, yet he mentions it does correlates with attractiveness
I personally think that one of the factor why he mention skin color not matter and only being social status might be due to his bias being indian himself. There's colorism in India and it affects the country. I'm not sure if the narrator in the channel is indian, but the founder of qoves is indian himself.
How I see it is everything matters and what makes one attractive is how well all their traits/attributes compliment each other.
I think his main business model is also to push people in doing plastic surgery, that's my assumption though.
@@The.ModernManwhen I look at your face I don’t think you’re that attractive but when I look at your before photo I get what u mean lol
@@KFC431but a naturally beautiful looking person will beat any person who got plastic surgery. QOVES is a business, they will obviously talk about what they want to advertise. Its a channel made for those who want a level up in society and get professional advice how to change their appearance to gain the upper hand. No shame in that either. Beauty is both objective and subjective.
@@sumiha Personnally, I don't align with this mindset/belief. I value authenticity. It's hard to describe. For example, I value skin care since I see it as a way to protect/slightly improve what you already have. Going to gym is also similar to skin care.
But to me, makeup, filter, plastic surgery is fake. It's like not putting effort on yourself or what you already have. It's seeking something foreign to improve your status. That's my mindset when it comes to beauty.
But if in the future, we manage to manipulate genes in order to improve humans intelligence, appearance and so on... I'm all for it. But we would have to settle on some ethics before getting there.
I always wondered what the mental impact of one of these reports would be. I would love to have it done for science, but I'm afraid it will encourage the negative internal monologue in my head! Thank you!
Yeah that's a legitimate concern. I have a high level of self confidence, so hearing flaws doesn't bother me. I just find this sort of thing oddly fun. For about 2 months though, I just noticed all the little imperfections on peoples' faces and that was a little bothersome, thankfully that faded.
It would actually compound to to the point of addiction. A person would keep on finding so called flaws with oneself for more surgery, even though it is not known or perceived by others. Look at the examples of plastic surgery addiction to the point they don't even resemble anything considered a normal face. You can see examples of them just by googling plastic surgeries gone too far.
there is no real science involved
the mental impact is based on how much of a crazy little B!itch the person is. dont blame the report it Simply outlines Reality. Its your fault if youre too weak to handle the truth.
Yeah that's so wild, I have seen people who were very good looking like 8-9 out of 10 and they made their faces worse. Like Zac Efron.@@alanguages
The report was quite surprising to me because on Qoves's channel he often mentions how attractiveness often comes from a deviation from the average, while the report is making your face more average for sure, and on the whole making it less striking.
It has been awhile since I consumed a bunch of Qoves stuff, but I think it's when the majority of your stuff is in average, but than you have one or two things that deviate. Definitely agree with you though about how they did my face.
This averageness theory is dumb and false.
White european women are found attractive by arab and african men. Indian men are obsessed
Easy disproof.
it's a balance between that. the best features that would look attractive even though they deviate to the average proportion is the eyes or the lips. the jaw and the nose should be always in proportion. i think that's how it works but idk
mathemetical average isn't the average joe at all. In fact, the average joe always has some failo. Very few people have mathematically average feature all across the board
The work around your eyes looks really great! Qoves also has a video we’re they mention that all of the changes made in the photoshop for improving your looks may not be the best realistically attractive look for you but an amalgamation of all the societal “ideals” for western beauty standards. I think anyone who does the Qoves report should pick and choose which enhancements would be useful and which would disrupt their facial harmony kinda like you did. Great video 😊
Thanks! I think I need to get them adjusted a little, but I won't know until I talk to a surgeon here. I had them done in Mexico.
Yeah I think chances are, if you weren't thinking about it at all going into the report, you probably don't need to have it adjusted. I was extremely self concious about my eyes as a kid and it wasn't until my mid 20s that I was okay with them. So when Qoves mentioned stuff with my eyes, it really wasn't any sort of a surprise.
isn't that why people pay? I would be so conflicted if I ended up getting bad advice 😭
Hey! You are absolutely GORGEOUS just the way you are. DO NOT even think of touching your face !!!!!
Thanks!
My chest implants are fine though right?
Original side profile definitely looks better. The changed one looks more feminine, and doll like?
Yeah I was hoping for a front morph and overall to just see a total dream boat or something afterwards. But it's probably better this way haha.
It has a weird nose, that changed side profile
In my humble opinion their side profile version seems more appealing to me
yes, I too think the original profile side looks better, I would want to see a chin reduction but that's all on the side profile. I'd also like a wider forehead (no idea how to make that though) and a frontal pic after editing. But I do think higher cheekbones would really make his face striking
Are you implying feminine is wrong?
Well, I don't know what you looked like before you had your eyes done, but you're currently better-looking than about 99% of the male population, and you also come across as very likable, so you have NOTHING to worry about!
Haha, most say I look the same. So I probably wasted my money. Thanks!
are you on some drugs if this guy looks better than 99 percent of male population I dont want to see how you and your family look like
99%? Bruh
@@byeebitch💀
haha, yo lemme take that and run with it @@byeebitch 😆
your normal side profile looks better than the morphed one
Your chin is very attractive, the after is like what a runway model would look like. but naturally u look better.
Gonna make me blush. 😆 Thanks
In the after, I think the shaving of the chin also makes the nose look bigger,.
A handsome face isn’t a collection of highly optimized anatomy but a mix of perfection and imperfections. You look great already and these enhancement suggestions didn’t impress me.
Thanks. Yeah definitely not doing anything outside of preventative forehead botox
doesnt impress you but the 90% of population lol
source?
Ive been following QOVES for ages and i feel a bit ashamed that although i find it super interesting, ( one of my first jobs was dissections of cadavers and human anatomy), I have found myself feeling more curious to do a report, but then I also try and ask myself why. I imagine, like in your video here, the report would come back with plastic surgery/botox suggestions that are particularly invasive and expensive and would make me feel insecure because I know I would never pay for treatments like that.
It reminds me of those 'Roast me' signs people would hold up in a photo of themselves back on Facebook a decade ago, because they couldnt help but be curious to know what the world thought of their face and to pick up on any distinctive/unattractive features.
And yet today the same thing, like a fly to a lightbulb knowing it will get burnt: I still want get a Qoves report of me done. 🤦🏻♀
p.s i think you or anyone reading this interesting in Qoves and this video would love reading:
- David Buss' books
- 'Survival of the Prettiest' - Nancy Etcoff
If you are worried about being made insecure as a result of doing the report, you shouldn't do the report. I think it's better for wanting to know specifics about something you were already thinking about getting work on or if you want to see/understand all parts of your face and what can be improved but know you won't be bothered.
I went in pretty confident, noticed a few things as a result of the report, and now as before, I don't think or care of any of those things anymore.
Fellow new youtuber, best of luck!
@@The.ModernMan Ah Yes that makes sense. I think the fact I keep umm-ing and ahh-ing whether to get it done, probably means I should, as it’s been on my mind for a while and I’d like to think my curiosity for the report supersedes my insecurities for myself. ( I’ll convince myself to be more resilient 🤪)
I really liked the format of your video, was super informative and thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you! All the best to you too! great advice for men you have here, going to binge on some more of your videos now :)
Be sure to start with the videos on growing a beard 😆 @@JadesFitnessBucketList
Great channel concept btw, definitely peeping. We'll have some subjects in common soon(doing more fitness content).
@@The.ModernMan haha you read my mind with the beard video 😜
Ah awesome! So you’ll be doing some fitness stuff? I’ll look out for it!
And perhaps I’ll do a video debrief like yours for my qoves report… unless it comes back as: ‘’Jade lacks dento-facial growth, no zygomatic arches or signs of positive sexual dimorphism, we conclude she is basically a blob and needs a face transplant’
if it’s too mortifying im not even going there 😂
@@JadesFitnessBucketList Yeah! I've been having a lot of obligations that have kept me from being near my usual shape, so i've been kind of waiting for that to maximize my appearance for more clicks. I am just now starting the whole hybrid athlete thing and hit my first marathon the other week, so i'll be documenting a good deal of that as well.
Haha, it is just an empty report with 1 single page that says "You're fucked." 😂 I will keep an eye out for that if you do it for sure. This has made me think more about what interesting stuff I can do/review that is in my realm because this video got me like 700 subs so far and the engagement is really fun.
I would agree with most other comments here. You're a very attractive man and I'd be so happy if I had a prominent chin like yours (mine is overly receding). I think what gets lost in the quantification of facial attractiveness is the things you can't measure, like charisma. I understand that this approach is trying to approximate scientific beauty, but then there's the "je ne sais quoi" element that is harder to measure.
All this to say, I'm grateful that you showed us the report, and I hope you know that you're a handsome man as you are!
Thank you, I appreciate that.
For everyone, but expecially men, charisma is so important. I had a buddy in school that was objectively a weird looking dude, but it didn't matter because he had that kind of it factor about him. Would blow everyone's minds when a lot of the hot girls at the school would be really interested in him.
Thank you for posting this video. Well done compartmentalizing and explaining each section. I appreciate it.
Glad you enjoyed it :)
I feel like lens distortion also plays a big factor into this. You have some ideal cheekbones as outlined by the report you bought and yet they say you need filler for bigger cheekbones haha
His cheekbones already look even too big to me personally. I feel like bigger ones would make him look like he had work down for sure
I actually get comments a lot of tik tok where people say chill out on the filler. Usually when i'm kind of bloated or recovering from microneedling I think, but yeah.
Would never get filler for cheekbones. Or filler period. It hink it usually looks weird, more so for dudes.
@@The.ModernMan You are very lucky to have big cheekbones 😅 Agreed on fillers they often look odd
I'm so excited to find a video about this! I've been curious about what one of these profiles would be like. I feel like you have the perfect mindset and approach to this. A lot of people don't have the self-confidence to look at these objectively without obsessing over it or letting it affect their self-worth. I like how you picked around the advice you'd actually put into action and what wouldn't really work for you. From my perspective I'd say you're DEFINITELY attractive and the aspects of you that didn't fall into the averages give you a niche kind of attraction. For example the chin that looks like Hercules! I like that, because I think some people would want to change every feature to fit the averages but differences like that give our faces unique attraction:) overall a great video!!!
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Yeah for sure. It really didn't change how I look at myself, apart from noticing a couple things a little more than before, but that only lasted about a week or so. Though this did make me start unconciously analyzing people's faces for a few weeks lol.
Thank you for the words, the view and the comment.
Thank you for doing this I have been wanting to get mine done for a really long time but mannnn did it feel a bit sketchy. Thank you, love
Glad it was helpful!
This is the first video of yours I've ever seen and I have to agree that you (the original) are much more attractive than the rendered image. It looks uncanny and I think what you said about the facial harmony is spot on.
If one is able not to internalize it, I'm sure this kind of report could be very interesting...but I just can't wrap my mind around paying someone to criticize my appearance.
Yeah you nailed that, it's important to be able to not take it to heart and try to look at it objectively.
I had a report done and they also recommended the blepharoplasty for me. My surgeon said he wouldn’t do it on me and didn’t see a need. So, while the report is useful, I definitely recommend getting a second opinion! Glad you were able to get yours done- especially since you said you always noticed even in high school. This was not my experience and no one ever said I looked tired or anything- I think it may have been the lighting in the photos I sent to Qoves
Yeah I talked to like 4 surgeons in New Jersey + North Carolina and they didn't want to do it. I think you need to go to places like California that are used to doing suregery for more minor improvements.
Yeah, when I was taking pictures, I had such a hard time actually showing what I see in the mirror in terms of my undereye area.
@@The.ModernMan Thanks for replying! Just catching this now! Agree with you on Cali. I don’t plan to pursue anything at the moment if my guy won’t do it. I got my nose done by him (profile pic is old…. Maybe I ought to change it) so I trust his judgement.
The original is better imho. The generated photo is a bit jarring. It doesn’t feel human. Kind of like what you said, there is a lack of harmony. I don’t think what is “ideal” is more attractive. Attraction is hard to define. Qoves seems to be for those who want to be models or well photographed. I find faces look so different on camera versus in real life. The face seems so unnatural when a lot of work has been done. Even if it’s subtle work. Our brain’s just pick this up in 3D, as opposed to 2D.
Yeah, feel like it's super easy to tell when people have had stuff done. Unless they go both subtle and drop a bag on a really top end practioner.
@@The.ModernManAngelina Jolie looks beautiful on film - but I saw her in person and she looks extremely odd and unnatural looking. She’s bordering on MJ levels of weirdness in person.
Thanks! I was thinking to do the same thing with Qoves! Good to know what to expect!
It's super fun if you have some extra cash, curiousity about certain specific things, and aren't a very self conscious person.
Welcome back! Love Qoves.
My man. appreciate you
This is the only video that reviews qooves services that ive seen in thw internet, very good video
Thanks, glad you like it and it's getting some love.
I definitely agree with your assessment that the face with more averages is better feature-by-feature, but that the original has better facial harmony and looks better as a whole
Serves as a good reinforcement that most of us should probably just chill where we are unless something is a really big standout.
You have a really likeable charismatic thing about you! Thank you for making this video :)
Glad you liked it and thank you!
Loved the video. Great stuff man.
This was such a cool video! Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :).
Whoa, so scientific. Never thought about this before. 👀
As a female trust me u need 0 work done 😭 all my friends and I would agree ur a very good looking guy no offence to the qoves guy but he says a lot of questionable things and appearance is a very sensitive topic and he can be quite cavalier and sometimes arrogant with his responses smh plus he seems to think there’s only one way to look at beauty and idk he’s just ahhh
Gracias! Qoves is fun unless you start getting too into it and unsatisfied with yourself. I believe it's good to take pride in your appearance, but sometimes the ine can get blurred when consuming too much of that type of content.
What an interesting video! It was so healthy to be able to watch you being you on one side of the screen, then the ways the report said you could be 'better' on the other. Most of the time I was thinking: "Nope. He's way hotter as is".
thank you, i'm glad you enjoyed it. It was a really fun exercise :)
You definitely look better as you are. The adjustments they make go into uncanny valley for me.
How do you only have 2.9k subs broski? Underrated asf channel.
This was cool! Thanks for sharing
For sure, glad you enjoyed
The thing about Qoves is, it's about measurements and overall balance. I think it's a thing you should consider if you want to have some kind of cosmetic surgery done to improve your looks, if you go on emotions and what you see in the mirror on a bad day you'll end up looking weird and less beautiful. But nobody is or will be perfect in the end. I've had quite some things done to my face keeping these "rules" in mind and it has helped me alot, with that also the Qoves channel. But like you said, don't watch it too mich when you are feeling down.
Btw, you are a really handsome guy, like above average handsome. Handsome face, charming voice and manners. And even on you they have things to "improve". I hope people keep that in mind that you don't need to be perfect in order to be likable or attractive.
I think people under rate the importance of a charming voice and manners. Also many people look good in still photos, but lose attractiveness due to the way their faces move and animate. More studies need to be done on this.
That's so true, I have this friend who looks stunning in photo's but in real life he is actually pretty average looking imo. His proportions are good but the way he sounds and acts is less attractive.@@fibbs6533
@fibbs6533 - I can totally see this. I look best in person, okay in video and awfulll in photos. My open mouth smile really bunches up my eyes is a big culprit.
@mrvincemunro - Yeah, even though I was relatively unaffected by what was said, I noticed I care even less about the critiques after a few weeks.
Your eyes are beautiful!
They make you look trustworthy and good.
Beauty Standards change all the time. I saw tiktoks where alot of girls said that they love men with puppy eyes or sleepy eyes.
Thank You. They are actually done in this video, but most people said they didnt notice much difference. I got a blepharoplasty in December last year. Making a video on my experience with that as well, got it at the gang violence capital of the world 😆
@@The.ModernManthey look kind I have “hunter eyes” and people think I’m intimidating and unapproachable when they first met me 😂
@@S3aCa1mRa1n Wonder if it's coupled with some of the other pieces they mentioned here about other features making men appear more aggresive or something. They can tend to look fierce. Or maybe you're just too intimidatingly Chadly for people.
I think I have a similar thing where everything is ok except I think there's not enough bone under the eyes
It’s also maybe bc of your eyebrow placement and your eye bridge projection
Your first initial picture looks WAYYYYYYYY better!
Yeah, I was so excited to see my face morph and see some super dreamboat version of me, then was disappointed when I saw that chimpanzee.
I think the unedited photo looks much more pretty than the edited one, because it looks harmonious and the jaw looks so much better in my opinion.
You look so, so much better the way you are! Your nose is great, you have a nice jawline, beautiful eyes, and strong cheekbones. Nothing to improve!

@@abigailcosta1716 and? If u think these standards should die u shouldn't have used them right to call em pretty whether or not the report does? You comment is fine but the last sentence makes it all pointless , should be one or the other

If you already have some things in mind that you want information on, you have extra cash, and you aren't prone to being self concious, it's a solid report. Glad it was helpful.
I've also been really curious about this report and was glad to see an insightful report about it.
I would get completely wr*cked if I had this done. I need to better my mental health and confidence! This was an awesome video, thanks.
Thank you. I feel like if we apply the 80/20 rule to looks and do that, we should feel pretty good about where we are. Once I got into skincare, my eyes bothered me way less because I knew I was doing the best I could with what I have. Granted, I still ended up getting stuff done there.
Being in shape, wearing decent clothes, sleeping and having a skincare routine makes most everyone look pretty good imo.
Holy, a lot goes into this.
Thanks dude!
It's a VERY good sign that you like your original profile better than the morph (shows decent body positivity). I personally liked my original profile better as well. To a stranger tbh... the morph looks better. However you're not trying to look good for strangers, you're trying to look good for people who already know you.
a stranger here, the morph did not look better

You look great. Surprised they didn’t mention your hair. Definitely prefer the way your hair is styled in the video much better.
Yeah, didn't do my hair for the pictures I sent in.
Love this!
Time to completely change our faces and then do it over and over out of disattisfaciton. 😆
Your profile view is godly
Whoa this is really cool!
Time to go to Korea.
IMMEDIATELY thought the edited profile view looked weird too. Unedited seems more attractive and harmonious in that way (I also really like QOVES but more for the analysis side of things).
So weird. Yeah, Qoves is fun if you don't get too in your head about yourself or other people.
I don’t usually comment on CZcams videos, but before I watched the video my first thought was that your eyes look very good and they suit you well. Aside from your hair I think they’re your best feature.. your skin too looks very healthy
Thanks, young me would love to hear that. I did get some work done on the eye area before this video actually. And good on the skin hah, i'm a chemist with a skincare business.
I'm pretty sure the Qoves guy mentions in a video that if you buy this report they'll suggest hairstyles and facial hair that suit your face, it might be worth contacting them about that?
Yeah, that's a good call. Thanks
I like your original profile and this is the first video I've seen of you. I do prefer the gonial angle in the AI jaw and the eye padding.
Hah, I had very little idea of what my side profile even looked like until this.

I think your side profile unedited looks better. Very attractive overall
I havent completed the video yet but I’m at the part where there is an unedited and edited version of your side profile and my godddd, your natural nose is the so perfect for your face and I was honestly shocked that it was something they chose to change, something about that just irked me so bad.

i think you have really great eyebrow actually, theyre forward projecting, dark, sharp and thick. this video was really fun, i have considered doing a report myself to satisfy my curiosity but sadly im a poor university student and dont have the money. my curiosity will be satisfyed enough now.
Honestly as a student, some of the services like WheatWaffles face rating for $10 covers 90% of this, but without the deep detail. All the high level stuff was pretty much the same.
You look amazing! Where did you get that sweater? I love it.
Hah, so it's a knockoff Thom Browne Sweater I got from Ali Express for like $30-$40. I got an advertisement for the real one and I fell in love with it.... but then I saw it was actually from a very expensive brand and cost near a grand. So then I looked up knockoffs. It is a very good knockoff, feels super high quality. I think TB Shop was the vendor.
I’ve always wondered what a report would entail. Thank you for sharing and you are an attractive man so I think the stuff they recommended might feminize your face.
Looking ‘done’ is not a good look for anyone but especially for men!
You have a conventionally attractive face. I wouldn’t change anything about it
Thank you!
That is just sick since you are a very goodlooking dude.
Hah, thanks.
Awesome video thanks! How long did it take for you to get the report after you ordered it?
I am not a man by any means but let me tell you, I genuinely enjoyed this video and I hope you continue making content cuz I will definitely be surfing your channel to binge-watch.
Thank you! Probably 50% of my content will be applicable for everyone anyways. Especially things where I talk about personal care products.
I would most certainly have this report done on myself. "If" i had a quarter million dollars with Plastic Surgeons, Orthodontist and a dermatologist on stand by..
Haha, I think it's better to not have the cash ready, so you can sit on stuff for a bit.
Your chin and nose projection looks really attractive in my opinion. I would work on lifting weights, weighted ab workout to help widen the neck and jawline. I would also like to see you pluck your eyebrows. I think it would make a lot of a difference. Thanks for sharing.
I already get my eyebrows done. I do want to start working on my neck a bit though.
@@The.ModernMan Weighted ab situps are great for that. And I think deadlifting helps.
Great job, thanks for sharing…
Reading the comments you said you got your eyes done in Mexico, what was the treatment you got and how much did it cost?
Super cheap. I'm gonna make a video on this soon. I spent 6k all in including room hotel and some meals(crappy ones). I got a blepharoplasty and fat graft. To me the fat graft was great, but because I had minor issues needing correcting on the eye, I don't really love the results and feel like someone else can maybe do better. I need to validate that though with another surgeon. Ultimately there were some improvements from the blepharoplasty, but it really didnt feel like enough and didn't fully resolve what I was hoping for.
@@The.ModernMan thanks for your answer, your video and editing skills are great... please can you consider telling us where did you get it (i ask because i live in Mexico :) ). Regarding the results i must add that in Mexico there are many representatives of each industry that would tell you that they can do a good job but they are not really prepared for the task. I wish you could also tell us your expectations on the blepharoplasty that could not be achieved and how would they have looked if they were met.
Thanks again and keep up the great work.

When I looked at the page, I saw plenty of blepharoplasties, but then upon further inspection later, most were from a different surgeon there, and I didn't actually see how it fully healed up. i'll have a vid detailing it, but basically I wasn't happy the dennie morgans didnt' go away completey, I had two bumps from the healing where it didnt seem like the skin was sealed up super well, then on the lower left lid, it seems like the lid was maybe 1 mm lower than it should be, so it makes my eyelid look thicker. I also was under the impression I would have less lower sceleral show after and that didnt happen. I'm not sure how much of that could actually be helped and what is unpredictable due to the healing process. Gotta get another opinion. But I do think that overall if someone does more verifying the experience level and is doing something not too complex, it can be a great place.
The only thing that I can agree with is the undereye area, but the changes they made to the side profile looked way worse than your real profile.
Yeah, eye area and entertainment was the main reason I got the report.
Angel I don’t care what this facial thing says! U are extremely handsome!! Just throwing that out there 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🔥💯
Gracias Gabriel
@@The.ModernMan de nada Guapo!! 😉🙏🏽
that is really cool. haha, i think i might hit the gym first. lose that weight before looking into this. it's fascinating tho!
It's a rabbit hole for sure.
This makes me wanna get it done too
It was cool/fun for sure. I also got extra value out of it because this video has done so well :). I just say it's best to do it if you can hear negative things about your apperance and be cool with it, or if you were thinking about doing something, but aren't quite sure if anything can be done about it and want a full eval.
I actually really like Qoves, most people dont know sh#t about beauty, a lot of women think that getting BIGGER lips and BIGGER cheakbones will make them more beautifull and in the end they look 20 years older and get that "i was stung by a swarm of bees" look🙈 Also Qoves give a lot of advice on how to look better without the surgery, i look a lot better now thanks to them
Derek from MPMD gives better advice; don't be f-at, don't be bald, and have good skin.
Lol that's basically it. if you're not fat, decent clothes will fit better and look nice. Your face will also be more lean.
If I wanted to, I could just wear T shirts, Henley's and Jeans all year and I would look solid. Maybe not the most stylish, but solid and better than most.
I never understand when some guys like that, because I have some friends that do. I find that those only ever look good when someone is veryy modest with it, almost to the point where some would say it's not worth the price for that minor adjustment. Or like in the way of boob jobs, just going up 1 size for example.
your eyes and gaze reminded me of christian bale when he was young, they naturally turn more hunter-like with age, I wouldn't change a thing 😉
Patrick Bateman here we come baby!
I personally prefer the before picture
But you look great i'm both :)
Gracias
If you follow this report you will look like an alien, please don't do it. It's easy to fall in the uncanny
You're soooo handsome I don't see any need to correct anything....I definitely can see some asymmetry around the eye areas but personally I would not touch your face you're very conventional attractive
Appreciate it! I got some eye work done, that I now need to get fixed, but i'm not gonna go crazy and touch anything structurally. I just have a lot of fun trying to max things out, whether it's fitness, appearance, style, knowledge or whatever.
I definitely prefer your original look to generated one. It looks less masculine, which is one of the attractiveness criteria, according to them. And I prefer your original nose, because it adds more character, to your face.
🦍🗿
You’re so handsome don’t change
hah, thanks :)
Qoves is a triggering channel and not because it tells you which features of yours need to be changed but because they honestly think attractiveness should be rated on a scale and quantified and humans should strive for external validation on their looks based on what is "scientific" truth. Well, it's also scientific truth that human beings have successfully paired up and reproduced with each other for tens of thousands of years whether their jawline has a sharp angle or not.
It's a channel for education, I get it, but the subtle message is that you're not good enough. The truth is that someone who wants to be with you will like you for things other than your facial aesthetics.
I think the difficulty with this sort of content is that it works like a double edged sword. While a lot of this beauty stuff is processed unconciously/subconciously, speaking to It can further perpetuate the importance of having specific features and having people look for these things more. I can say for like two months after the report, I just evaluated people's faces and I didn't like that.
On the other hand, having the knowledge of the what and how on improving can feel great in terms of having some degree of control. I enjoyed doing the study and learning about my face, but I can see how this stuff can make a lot of people feel like shit that may have never thought about these things.
100% agree! “Educational”
It is scientific truth and I’ve even learned it in biology class and how the human brain sees attractiveness
It just reveals the harsh truths we know about attractiveness. Yeah being attractive doesn’t mean your life will be perfect, but given all else equal, a more attractive person is almost guaranteed to have a better life.
QOVES also state instances where being attractive does not matter or when it can be a hinderance. IMO they try their best to be impartial but the advantages of being attractive is just too much 🤷♂️
Yeah but on the other side the cynical part of me thinks that everyone is constantly judging people on exactly these criterias. I hate how people stigmatize stuff like this or aesthetic surgeries in general. Every single person that I know who makes fun of getting something done or would criticize this as "unethical" is superficial as fuck and would also make fun of the persons characteristic that they want to change through surgery.
That's why I conclude: why not let them get away with this? In the end they are at least part of the process of looking better and not just verbally abusing the customers like most people probably would anyways.
Man is literally "just be confident bro" in person.
Your face looks better than the symmetrical rendering. Your face has more harmony and I think god created us with those asymetries for a reason. I believe it makes us look more unique
Thanks. I've seen some pretty fkn good looking symmetrical people though hah
In my opinion, where the women are from helps you understand the beauty standards too. Africans and Asians have much different skull shapes, noses, lips etc etc. I've noticed i attract a lot of italian and Greek girls so I'm sricking to my strengths 🤣
Yeah facts. I feel like a Greek God when I go to latin places, especially because they tend to be shorter hah. My buddy is Jewish and as a result, his hit rate with Jewish women is absurdly high compared to anything else.
@@The.ModernMan you do for with the beauty standards in Latin America lol
I live in Britain - my dad is hungarian so I look foreign compared with local guys. I always find I do much better with continental women (spanish Italian, east european, russian) than UK women. It is weird. Still - at least I do well with some women. Some guys do badly with all women.
he literally looks so handsome and normal
You asked what we think so I'll answer. I'm speaking as a mostly heterosexual woman. When you first showed the quoves version, I thought that if someone found it attractive, I wouldn't be surprised but I was not attracted myself. I personally find the real you more attractive but I can see how not everyone would agree.
You mentioned that they said you have softer features. I'm attractive to warm, loving, friendly men and turned off by aggressive, dominant, status-seeking men. Is it a coincidence that I find softer features more attractive?
Has anyone studied this? Do people who prefer more dominant, aggressive partners have different aesthetic preferences than those who prefer more agreeable partners? It could apply with women too - Megan Fox looks more dominant while Jennifer Lawrence looks more kind.
Thanks for sharing. There are studies about female preferences when they are looking to settle down vs not. For that i'm not so sure, but I would imagine the appearance follows the preference.
Interesting stuff. Do they give you an overall score, or they only tell you what you can improve on?
They don't give you a score. There are some male channels that do that, but I find those communities to be somewhat toxic.
Tbh you are good looking. My psychology wouldnt be able to handle a report like this.
Yeah, while this was fun. I can def be a bit toxic, even though it doesn't mean to be.
10:13 wow the measurements are insane
I'm really surprised the distance between eyes wasn't considered in part of what makes a face attractive ,I have always felt my eyes were too close set also most people I find attractive have wide set eyes.
Me too but the experts won't tell you that because they can't make any profit from it. Other than optical illusions with makeup, there is nothing that can be done to increase the distance between your eyes that won't result in your demise. Anyway lots of good looking people do have close set eyes, like Ryan Gosling and Jennifer Aniston for example.
It has been a a bit since I read my report, but yeah I don't recall reading anything about eye distance in there, they might have it, but there definitely wasn't anything of note with it.
If u nose is Big, ur eyes looks little
That is so true. It is an important but unchangeable factor. Models have proportional distance between the eyes as well as great jawlines. Most say the distance between the eyes should equal the length of one eye.
@@mj_dolman5122jennifer aniston attractive? She look like man in a wig. Yall see blonde and go blind.
I'll say, if we compare both side profiles they look different but I don't think one is more attractive than the other. I think you are a fairly attractive guy, yes I agree with you with the eye area.
Thanks for sharing. Probably getting an update to the eye area in the next year.
Being attractive has little to do with facial features and symmetry. It's actually about your health, behavior and energy. Most models are not symmetrical and look different than the average. Those who try to look like what the mainstream thinks beauty is usually end up botched.
I don't study/follow models or anything, but I feel like most of them are pretty symmetrical, but then they have some parameter that's very different that gives them all that kind of weird look.
Definitely though, feel like at least half the people who get major things done, end up lookikng a little weird.
@@The.ModernMan Christy Turlington is considered one of the biggest supermodels. Her eyes are very different. One is open one is closed. She's pretty also because she's not symmetrical. These models are a rare combinations of genes, and it's actually impossible to point to specific features that make them stand out. It's a magical mixture plus their personality and the way they hold themselves. And taste changes all the time. Someone considered stunning today won't be as successful 20 years from now.
I hope you didn't do any of those procedures because you are not ugly and don't need any so called "improvements". You look good and naturally pleasant. Nothing that would require invasive corrective work.
Na, just some eye work that mostly wasn't worth it.
Most modern procedures are non invasive
Am I the only one who thought that the pic on the thumbnail was the one that was corrected and not the original?
flattered af haha
What mm rid you shoot those photos with? Because unless you used 70mm then the proportions would be way off. This is a trick that plastic surgeons would use, they would photograph your before photos in a low mm to make your proportions and facial features look bigger or off then do your after photo in a higher mm. This is very crucial piece of information that is always overlooked in the looksmaxxing world
Did they mention neck size? I know it isn't your face but a nice big neck that is like almost the same width of your face makes you very attractive versus a skinny one and the best part is that it is something that can be improved naturally through working it out. My neck is kind of small but once I cut down my bf % to a nice level I plan on going on a nice trap, neck and shoulder routine to blast them up.
I don't believe so. My neck is about 15.5-15.75 in. I don't recall which. Neck workouts are such a pain in the ass. They get some benefit from deadlift and stuff like shrugs, but man I hate wearing that head cradle thing. I do think it would look good if I got my neck about .5-.75 in bigger. Could really enhance the masculinity of my appearance.
You are so freaking handsome just as you are, my goodness! To me the edited pictures make you look worse! 🙏🏼
Thank you. It's probably a good thing they gave me such a bad edited picture haha. Makes you think, yeah i'm not fkn with anything.
5:15 your chin looks absolutely way better the way it is than in the edit, they sunk it way too much and doesn't look like it fits with the rest of the face, your chin is a little prominent but it looks better the way it is
the issue I have with these is not the impact on mental health (wich is too, a big problem), but that the professional advice, because it was very researched and professionals came up with certain numbers for measures and proportions, seems too be presented as an objective way to improve looks, and leaving aside how hugely subjective beauty is in respect to culture, media, likes, etc, can end up with improvements that don't really look good to the human eye and don't respect the harmony of the face
basically you get better results when getting advices from a trained eye than some porcentages
So the big arguement from many of these papers and Qoves is that beauty is less subjective than we think. It can be measured and models can be applied. There will be plenty of outliers and unique situations, but by an large it can be measured. Different races also have different averages that are used.
I was hoping to see a named professional that looked at my stuff, because it could very well just be one person just taking a swing at it. I agree with probably 80% of the assessment, but definitely any of the face morph they did was garbo.
@@The.ModernMan Agree the chin was sunk too much. A moderate amount might have been a different story. Morphing using a set formula doesn't always work.
I’m getting jaw surgery in spring, can’t wait
Whoa, I don't see that one much. Is it mostly a wanting to look really good or is it that you have a jaw that is significantly below average or something?
@@The.ModernMan it’s just one of my weaker areas. It’s a bit recessed and leads to my face appeared a bit sunken and flat. If you go to r/jawsurgery and sort by all time, you can see some insane results
You look much more handsome in this video/in motion than in those photos you sent for the report
Hah, thanks, I definitely agree. Photos often aren't my friend.
Forget It, You are gorgeous.
I've watched those Qoves videos, because as an artist I'm just fascinated by others' faces.
But I haven't felt tempted to critically stare in a mirror at my own face afterwards.
I just wish more care was taken to make clear to impressionable viewers this sort of beauty analysis is not "objective."
At best it can represent the subjective preferences of some amount of people in a population.
it can be anyone's prerogative to make adjustments to our own appearance to appeal to a broader set of people, or to a more specific set of people's preferences.
I'm not opposed to self-modifying on principal.
But since it's become such an endlessly consuming pathological obsession for so many people, it's only responsible to give reminders that there is nothing objectively "defective" about features that aren't aligned with conventional aesthetic standards.
Not saying a first-glance impression doesn't matter. But even conspicuously wonky features will grow on other's in our lives as we gain familiarity, and make a positive association.
Just saying, try checking in with yourself to keep a healthy perspective on how much of your limited energy to give to the pursuit of popular aesthetics.
(if any.)
This is definitely why I gave a little disclaimer at the beginning of the video, stuff can really mess with people's heads. I see the idea behind these things, there are definite datapoints you can measure that lead to faces that are more likely to be perceived as attractive. But even if only say 5% of the population disagreed with an assessment, that's a shitload of people disagreeing.
Thanks for sharing your take.
QOVES Studio's whole ideology is that there's both objectiveness and subjectiveness in beauty.
@@chillblue1650 I could agree in the sense that our physical features are objectively real, and anyone's perception of them as beautiful is subjective.
And we can objectively measure how many people in a population share a subjective opinion. So the subjective beauty of a face may be objectively popular.
If that's all, I can get that rationally. I'm just concerned with the mental health impact of emphasizing all these beauty judgments. Just worth taking care to be considerate of that for a broad public audience.
Not going to lie, I was going to roast but then I stopped. You had the courage to go and do what you wanted. Sure surgery is a hard step to take but you did. You took one for most who had the curiosity ot desire to do so.
All I wish and pray is much sucess and happiness to you.
I am not mad at you but really mad at myself.
I struggle to carry this weight.
