I got a cockatiel and it's the best decision I've ever made!

Yay, Marlene content with a Goffin! Not only the baby in this video, but the rescued Goffins at the parrot rescue :D. They really are high energy, mine needs lots of enrichment outside of the cage. Training sessions, tons of toys, multiple cages, lots of attention, etc.

Great show. I love the vids at thei bird stores, showing so many great birds and their people. I always end up thinking about how the birds are individuals, just as we are. And how, if we can not improve their lives and futures, it bodes badly for our own. Thanks for great show.

All those beautiful birds and sniffers...too sweet! Mine is a lutino Indian ringneck, rescued at 2. She's a sweetheart and bonded with me very nicely. I've had her almost 4 years.
I don't imagine they're very popular as pets in Florida anymore because of the flocks of them there due to the weather and escaped/abandoned IRPs. Mine talks a lot but it's not all clear. I have a little video of her. It's not a great clip but... I'm not a tuber. She's a love bug.

Mostly budgerigars, and occasionally cockatiels, but I've never seen many of the birds your followers brought with them to meet you. 🦜 🐦😊

I'm a circus sideshow performer, a 'critter person' and trainer of all animals, and I'm boning up on bird stuff before we get our first baby turquoise conure next week after a big search to find the right bird (we have some rescues already). My husband and I have had several birds over the years. We started out with a captured escapee (zebra finch) for which we bought a mate. They raised several broods. (It is amazing that the baby birds have bright orangey yellow spots down the inside of their throats that are like the lights on a runway guiding a plane to land, which seem to show the parents where to put the food). Then we bought a green budgie at a St. Patrick’s Day sale and then later we got an African Gray. Then we got a Rosy Bourke. We enjoyed these birds for many years but sadly they gradually passed on to birdie heaven. We are now retired and became Snowbirds, so we cannot have pets due to relocating every winter to Florida. We stay in Deerfield Beach, Florida and visit The Golden Cockatoo every winter to get our “bird fix”. It is am amazing place and it is so tempting to get another bird but crossing the border from Canada could be an ordeal as a pet bird could be put in Quarantine (so stressful!) Also the frequency of bird smuggling from the US to Canada means that there could be problems at the border even if all paperwork is in order. So, we visit the birds at the Golden Cockatoo!

I am impressed w the lady that is trying to teach her bird time. They do KNOW. My African Grey was the same. I would tell her what was happening and why and how long I would be gone. I would say 1 dark, 2 dark, 3 dark, etc. I also would call them every day and go over it again. It helped w the seperation anxiety.
I gotta say.... im kinda amazed,.. your like a total celebrity !! Im going to be in the south FL area in a couple weeks and I will have to visit the store,... ON another note,.. you have been very helpful with me and my My birds first Hormonal episode... not to mention I was introducing another bird to the house at the very same time!!! Oy Vey !!
