- "Christmas came EXTREMELY LATE on the Island of Sodor..."
This has been a long time in the making, and I'm very happy to bring the first of what I hope will be many stories that will come to this channel!
Sir Handel and Duncan are both hot heads, so I figured someone should make a story about them together. In case it wasn't completely obvious, I was a little inspired by Snow and Heat Miser. Does that make the Thin Controller Mother Earth?
Special thanks to Chris being an amazing narrator as always, giving my story much more life with his delivery, and Carson for just scoring this video on a whim while I screamed at him that a quarter note wasn't composed at the right moment.
Nice to see Sir Handel becoming the hero for once!
Can't believe it took me almost two years to find this story - really loved to see Sir Handel used as the 'hero' of a story for a change!
the thin control was literally threatening to give duncan the same fate as smudger and stanley
mixing the night train and skarloey railway theme brilliant
This brings in season 5 vibes for me!
Oh my god! Thank you for using Rusty’s old face!
I don't know why but I really don't like rustys new face.
@@kmatfordwe all can agree
Rusty and Peter Sam are my two favorite Narrow Gauge Engine
I like them all but those two are cuties ☺
Oh and I like Duncan Too
I’m making a series just like this for my channel
nice work on this story! and including one of my favorite narrators too!
A very great story
13:44 The most funniest part of the story 🤣 😂 😆
This was absolutely amazing, and I'm astonished I didn't find it sooner.
Only problems I have with it are the same as everybody elses. Mr. Percival was being pretty overkill, and Duncan admitting he liked being a dick was kinda off.
Other than that, great work!
Night Train/Skarloey Railway Mashup! Who composed it?
I think Carson did, the track is in his audius channel
what a great Christmas episode about Duncan derailing on Christmas eve. but there's mentioned if he and the rolling stock was damaged at all
I quite liked that story.
I love the music used in the scenes leading up to the rescue where did you get it from.
Awesome story!
Very good man keep it up
I assume the word Yuletide comes from the Norwegian word Juletid, which means Christmas time.
13:31 😔
13:23 LOL
Duncan is rude engine
oh he’s not rude
he’s a monster
Cool 0:25
Honestly, gotta say that I'm not a fan of the latter half of the story. The Thin Controller threatening to turn Duncan into a stationary boiler felt a tad overkill and Duncan saying that he likes being disrespectful feels...off in my eyes.
That's absolutely fine! You're free to your own opinion. But I definitely didn't write it so that he ever admitted or even enjoyed being disrespectful, so I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about.

It's the scene at the end where Duncan hazes Sir Handel for "kissing up" to the Thin Controller. The way he says "I'd rather be temperamental than prissy" honestly sounds like he likes acting like a pain in the ass.
@@stirlingno.1296 Again, you're free to your own interpretation if that's what you get out of it. I personally think protest and "being a pain in the ass" is perfectly in Duncan's nature based on all the classic stories. I figured that Duncan after being chided by the Thin Controller would be jealous of Sir Handel and would go for an argument since they're both hot heads. And I don't think the Thin Controller's threat is much of a far cry from "cutting an engine down to size".
Again, I respect your opinion! But I'm quite happy with how I wrote my story.
@@GWShunter Long story short, neither the Thin Controller or the engines took it literally. End of that. By the way, excellent Christmas beat my friend. Regards, Samuel Farris.
I don't remember any story on Sir handel and Duncan's recent accidents?
Right now there's Duncan and Sir Handel's Grumpy Day.
@@12Snowpeach where can I find that story ?
@@truemasterex5482 type it in yourself. ASAT
@@12Snowpeach I only found The Peel Godred story, but doesn't explain those accident in this story ?
@@truemasterex5482 You posted with a question mark you don't remember any recent Sir Handel and Duncan's recent accidents and I was telling you the Peel Godred story is the most recent. BTW This was uploaded four months prior.
Chris doesn’t seem to do much narrating anymore these days.
