I was lucky enough to meet them in Manchester it was after this. They'd swapped bassists to Fran...they were all lovely especially Fran he was a sweetheart. It seems like a lifetime ago...what an epic job you had!!
wrong. for all those born again in Jesus, there will be eternity here in the new heavens and new earth that Jesus will remake. Jesus is God! The new heavens and new earth will be the final destination to all born again in Jesus. There will be no more heaven, the new Jerussalem will come down out of heaven to earth. Jesus will rule and reign from there. All evil will be cast into the lake of fire. And only God knows what other incredible wonders await all those born again in Jesus! as the bible says, 'eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath it entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for those that love him.'
Got that right ... I worked at a club called the Metron in Harrisburg Pa and the Hooters used to play there a lot it was awesome to be young in those days! So much fun!!
This video takes me to a happy place. I love how the band is kinda hoarse and so happy. What a time this must have been for them. Look at that stadium full of people... such joyful energy.
On behalf of those who prefer click-track/autotune/backing-track free live performance, I am here to revel in the floating tempo and excitable vocals on display here. Playing and singing before a 60 thousand plus audience will do that!
Take a close look at this clip and you will see these guys are working really hard putting 150% effort into their performance, this is what makes them the brilliant band they are.
The magic of music pre auto tune, 1 size fits all tracks. I love those riffs and unexpected little twinge in vocal or audio that comes from being played on the spot.
I first heard them in PA, on a date with a beautiful redhead named Tara Austin from Coatesville, Pa. on leave from Fort Benning Ga, dancing with Tara after having received a Dear John letter... Tara, thank you for that dance.
Just....excellent. Great band, great decade, the best music. I’m so glad my formative years (age 17 age 28) were the 80s decade!Even now I still love the music, love the fashions, love (some) of the slang, and even some of the hairstyles! And I still have all of my skinny ties! 👍👍
This song...brings back so many memories...sneaking off base with friends meeting up with civvies and going to the beach at midnight to have a beach party....or going to the bars on sunday night..playing cat and mouse with girls in our cars..getting stopped by the cops who saw us driving around..going to the girls house after that sneaking out of the house at 2 running back to base..getting picked up by said girl in the way back and earning the nickname running man ..hahaha...what a blast the 80s were
this was my second concert following Rick Springfield in 82. Saw Hooters in '86 when I started collecting cassettes. started out with Colombia House. Ten for a penny and buy three at regular price. those were the days.
Man you brought back memories with that record club! I did that with every club there was....... I would spend hours picking the albums. Don't even think they do it anymore. But who needs it now when everything's on the internet. These kids today don't know the excitement we felt when we finally got the package. It was like Christmas.....*Sighs*
@@pauljordan4452 yep. You had to buy 3 at full price also, and then remember to mail in the monthly card so you didn't end up buying another full price one. That's how everyone built their tape collection back then.
One of the best group ever!! These guys were so talented they played a variety of INSTRUMENTS that gave their music a sound of its own and eric bazilian is a very good guitar player very underrated!! And even tho fran Smith has been with them 4 over 30years andy king even tho not with them 4 that long he was there at the pinnacle of their success!! And one of the best bands 2 come out of philly!!!
When I saw them in 1987 or 88 Fran Smith was on stage then so he's been with them since then. Not sure what you mean about him not being with them but anyway when I met them I met him and he, like tge other band members, was really lovely. Now I'm older I realize what a big deal it is to go out and meet fans, after a small gig...I'll never forget it ❤
Semplicemente meraviglioso spettacolo, video , musica e interpretazione cari TheHooters ♥ Ti ringrazio infinitamente per la condivisione ★ Complimenti e Un affettuoso saluto!! @ Bravo !!★
The hooters were simply great!! These guys were so talented and they played a variety of instrumentals which gave them a unique sound!! Even now these guys r great 2 c in concert and exsp with all original members basically!! But even Fran Smith has been with them 4 over 30 years!! This is andy king playing bass with them here!!
I was in college then. I could not stand much of the synthesizer banging that passed for music in those days. I liked these guys though. Their stuff was interesting and different. This was also my introduction to the Melodica, although it would be years before I stopped playing harmonica and played the Melodica instead. These guys planted a seed. Much respect.
LETS TURN THIS SONG UP THIS SONG ALWAYS THRILLS ME AND IT GETS ME GOING IT THRILLS EVERYONE AND IT GETS EVERYONE GOING THAT REALLY LIKES IT! LETS GET INTO THIS SONG OH YEAH! LETS DANCE AND KEEP ON DANCING AND MOVING AS WE GET INTO THIS SONG LETS KEEP IT MOVING AND KEEP ON DANCING LETS KEEP IT GOING AS WE ARE ENJOYING AND LIKING THIS WHOLE ENTIRE GOOD SONG. 👍😆

Nothing wrong with the hairdo..I never had one..but that was the 80s we did not jusge..we just lived life..well..there were dumb kids..but every decade has those and you ignored them

I worked security on the stage with them that day....was the best...Live Aid 1985
This isn’t from Live Aid. It’s from the Amnesty International show at Giants Stadium, 1986
I was lucky enough to meet them in Manchester it was after this. They'd swapped bassists to Fran...they were all lovely especially Fran he was a sweetheart.
It seems like a lifetime ago...what an epic job you had!!
Man, the eighties was a phenomenal time to be young! There will never be a wonderful decade like it again!
The Hooters rock!!!

ANYTIME is a Phenomenal Time to be Young 👍!
You can't open in Philadelphia in 1985 unless you're The Hooters!
This video takes me to a happy place.
I love how the band is kinda hoarse and so happy. What a time this must have been for them.
Look at that stadium full of people... such joyful energy.
no phones in the air , only clenched rockin fists!
This makes me cry thinking that those brilliant days are gone.
Kids now..too wrapped up in tech..not looking up and enjoying life
A very underrated band i think! These guys put out good music and they played a variety of INSTRUMENTS!! Just feel good music from the 80s!!!
I was born and raised in Philadelphia and my teenage years were the mid 80's. The Hooters were electric and in person as gracious as they appeared! 😊
On behalf of those who prefer click-track/autotune/backing-track free live performance, I am here to revel in the floating tempo and excitable vocals on display here. Playing and singing before a 60 thousand plus audience will do that!
The band looks like they're really having fun. This is what it's all about.
Take a close look at this clip and you will see these guys are working really hard putting 150% effort into their performance, this is what makes them the brilliant band they are.
Being young in the 80s was simply the best!
Didn’t have a choice
This video fills me with such emotion... an amazing yet fleeting time...sobering how far removed we are from this innocence and being so care free
So many memories come back from the 80s with this song, summer nights!!
The magic of music pre auto tune, 1 size fits all tracks. I love those riffs and unexpected little twinge in vocal or audio that comes from being played on the spot.
All those people in the windows on the street sign in the car are all caught in time . In a video that brings back so many memories its crazy .
So many memories.. this band is part of my life. One of the best bands ever.
I first heard them in PA, on a date with a beautiful redhead named Tara Austin from Coatesville, Pa. on leave from Fort Benning Ga, dancing with Tara after having received a Dear John letter... Tara, thank you for that dance.
I might be crazy, but I think this is the greatest f*cking song ever written
i might be crazy too because I totally agree, and this performance is one of the best things ive seen

I saw them live at Southern Star Amphitheater in Houston Texas in 1985. Awesome energy and concert.
This makes my day. Playing with such energy in the old Giants Stadium, a packed house nonetheless. Great fk'n song.
Playing to a packed stadium at their best!!
One of my favorite songs. The anthem to my 80s. Saw the Hooters, Danced at many, many shows. Great memories! 😊

The 80s had the best music. It was a great decade to be teen...miss those days
Absolutely and the seventies!

So many power mullets
In the fine tradition of The Plimsouls... -Doug Pratt, Atlanta, Georgie, USA
One two three four and all hell breaks loose
And they were never heard from again...
F*ck art. Let's Dance°•○☆💕
When the music mattered
Dallas dance clubs in the 80s ,nothing left to say .
The Mighty Mullet power is strong here.
Still can't believe my mum and dad was there
I answered this song to a poll of "which song would you listen to continuously for 24 hours for $1000?"
Saw these guys open for Bryan Adams in the 80's, and the kicked his butt. WAY better concert.
can you post the All You Zombies from this concert?
I forgot how many bands had hairdos like MacGyver. Good song though.
Nothing wrong with the hairdo..I never had one..but that was the 80s we did not jusge..we just lived life..well..there were dumb kids..but every decade has those and you ignored them
Alas.
They don't make mullets like these anymore or tunes for that matter.
Wow, Andy Samberg has aged great!
What year was this?

This was "A Conspiracy of Hope" by Amnesty International in June 1986. Live Aid was in 1985 and in Philly/London.
Where is this?
1985.
Live Aid was 1985. This was Amnesty International's "A Conspiracy of Hope" concert in New Jersey in June 1986.
Did they only do the one song at Live Aid?
No they did two they played and we danced and All you zombies.

John Mellancamp
Not really sure why he danced AWAY from the mic with the melodica.
