I was there! Was so glad they played it, one of my favorites.
What an amazing time we live in! You can literally see these guys in their youth, at the height of their career in the mid 90s on CZcams, and now as old men. Still rocking!
I really don't mind it being in a lower key now, because that's literally just reality. Johnny isn't 29 anymore, he's knocking on the door of 60. His voice is a bit lower 30 years later😂 better than just lip synching it. I'll always love him for keeping it 100% real and just doing what he can for us
I haven't really analyzed this, but it sure doesn't sound much different from the Letterman version. Are you certain he dropped it?

It's always jarring to hear a song so familiar in the "wrong" key. But they sound great, regardless
