Lyrics:
And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now
And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
When sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you'd bleed just to know you're alive
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

Without the wisdom and understanding of truth, every soul is then heading to hell, to pay for their sins, which they did while on earth; lies, stealing's, cheating, abusing's, destroying's , killings (even just through words, killing is done) = regrets, as soul then, fully understand, how terrible ways life was wasted away + being as a whole being in flames, 24/7/365, not a single moment out from it, - you`d be still fine?

Cause it means so much to you personally, and yet the next thing you know, you're playing/performing the song over and over and over for people who love it... or either it's just this piece of work that literally means a punch used tonyou and yet millions of people cherish it.
That's who writers are though, and what they do...
i’m 17 now, my mother was 17 at the time of this performance. I’d give anything to have been there, i wasn’t yet thought of, but watching this puts so much joy in my heart.
The rain makes it feel so epic.
Mostafa Ebrahim i was thinking the same, I've watched this a few times today now. Shit is insane.
That's exactly what I thought bro
Yeah, my wife said oh he's even hotter all wet! What the hell!!
it's fake rain
that is pretty damned epic.
*A message to old generation (we will never let this song die, you can rest now).*
from the new generation (we will also never let this song die)
Learn how to spell lol. *Now

@@anitalind4582 am……am I the old generation lmao I’m just 28 😂
Music gives each of us a happy feeling, inspires us, despite all the everyday worries and problems. Thanks for your song.
I can't believe how Epically sick Rock and Roll moment this song in a rain storm is!!!!!! Wow!
don't ask who's watching in 2020, we never stopped.
This song has been in my playlist like forever ❤️
Me 2.

Born 86. Will never stop loving them ❤
When you don’t know how to get likes so you gotta copy an overused comment. Pathetic
Never stopped watching and never will.
Not just the rain, the way he casually pushes the camera round to face the crowd. This is such an epic performance. Imagine how difficult it is to perform on those conditions
What a great time we used to have a music festivals and outdoor concerts back before cell phone cameras started to take over everything. I miss this kinda stuff
This is a masterpiece, I miss those days. Guys life goes fast enjoy every single moment.
When he says “feels like the movies” is great because this feels and looks like it’s from a movie. How awesome it would’ve been to see this live!
I think it's referring to dissociation brought on by some sort for mental strife, be it anxiety or depression or something else. Kinda like being stuck in "zone out" mode, because you're thinking is so inwards that the outside world becomes unimportant.
Perhaps because it IS from a movie! 😂😂
Film not movie
@@thunderfyrekinggaming2243 Are you British?
@@alext2566 why
This song just feels right to be sung in the rain. I've no idea why 💚
Yes it does, it has a divine touch
This song loves the rain. I was once waiting for the late night bus at 2am, all alone the street was empty, it was raining and this song came on from my playlist. It was such an awesome moment, I can't describe. I saw the meaning of life in that moment.
@@petemitchell9996 It may sound wierd but I know what you're taking about. Sometimes I feel there is just a perfect song for every moment. And it just snaps right in place at times.
because the rain will cover the tears :)
@@filuz987 So true !
What made this so special was that everyone there was fully immersed in the performance, no phones. Everyone there creating memories and singing their hearts out. I wish concerts were still like this.
This is why I love being from Buffalo. Magic moments don’t happen often and I was there for that night.. I will never forget. And the cold that followed.
This was perfect ! No phones, no crazy lights. Just the crowd, the Rain and the most iconic performance i have ever witnessed.
Truth, but cell phones had existed for years by the time of this concert, just no iPhones for another couple years. People probably just didn’t want to ruin their phones.
When "Iris" came out, it went viral in its own way. I remember substituting for a second grade class that broke into singing this song while doing an art project. They knew the chorus by heart. Naturally, I was stunned but encouraged them to keep singing. The power of music is truly amazing.
I've seen quite a handful of your comments on my post and I just want to appreciate those people whose wishes me good wishes and encourages me and my team the Goo Goo Doll’s, I hope to bring you so much happiness.
Thank you so much for your love and support, It gives me such great joy to learn that our hard working is paying off and there are a lot of peoples out there that actually love what I do.
Yeah this song was so well known because it's one of the City of Angels ost. That movie was good too.
I think I saw it years ago. The lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls lives in the same town as the children I subbed for. Odd, I know. If you like female singer-songwriters, check out my original music on CZcams. Thanks, Virgo.
I taught English for over 20 years in public and private schools. I am no ordinary singer-songwriter, my friend. I have a master's degree in creative writing, so I should know the proper usage of "its." Thanks for noticing, though. Please check out my music on CZcams. More tunes are coming soon.
@Little Albert I hear you, LA. It used to be one of mine as well. But my life lately is more about music and less about the English language. Still, my lyrics are grammatically correct as well. LOL! Once in the habit, always in the habit.
I wish people would stop saying who's listening in 2024 I can't get enough of this masterpiece ❤kbr 🌹👑💋♾️📿🔥👰♀💍💎🙏🏼😇✈️💋
Some of the best visuals in rock and roll history! (And thank God no one was electrocuted.)
the band, the "living in the moment" crowd, and the pouring rain --- is there a better moment than that? Solid solid.
Sana all na lang talaga 😭
Gud for u 😁 u dont follow d norm of the millenials nowadays, u know what is real music 😁🤣
@@tuksmolkatin5543 100%! my buddy and I just did a cover of Iris on our channel and I'd love for you to check it out and let me know what you think!! czcams.com/video/f3mu3WvwsPA/video.html

This is the definition of a rock star. Playing a song over a decade old in the pouring rain to a crowd just screaming the lyrics, not going anywhere
And all of us hear still listening 💕
iris came out in 1998, this was 6 years later
That's love.
Amen
back when pure music no phone recording and just love.
For me, one of the greatest moments in the history of the live music.
Everything about this is just perfect, the song, the crowd, the energy, the rain!!
