"Yo Barriss, The Empire is Pretty Chill, Maybe You should like, Join it or Something." 😂
Oh god I forgot about that
She doesn't seem like a bad person? Didn't she blow up the Jedi Temple killing a lot of innocent workers?
IKR?
-Killed a lot innocent people
-Murdered her associate (with force chock)
-completely fine with her own friend takes the blame for her crimes and Death sentence.
-says Red lightsabers suits her
"Not a bad person"
The workers, were military support personnel on an active military base during time of war, thus they were legitimate military targets, as was the temple itself. The fact that the Jedi chose to keep hundreds of school children there was a war crime on their part, one of many that Barriss was trying to expose.
However, it is unclear what involvement in the bombing Barriss actually had. Jackar was apparently the trigger man, wile Leta built and armed the bomb. Barriss seems to have offered some degree of support at some point, but she might not have approved of the hanger bay as the target. There clearly seems to have been some type miscommunication between Barriss and Leta, and Barriss' statement to the tribunal was vague and without any cross-examination.
@@thegalacticponderer
Nah it much more simple then that, it classic tale of Jedi falls to Dark Side.
A lot of the Inquisitors were also written off "Jedi who fallen to Dark side due to Jedi Order/Republic corruption and have very big grudge" so Barriss is not even unique in this Position too.
@@undead4500 If we consider Barriss as someone evil, then we must consider every Jedi as evil.
She killed innocents - Well, the Jedi in their "peacekeeping" mission are responsible for the deaths and suffering of millions. They are the commanders and war criminals.
She killed her associate - The Jedi Council planned to kill Vos for turning to the dark side and blamed Ventress for everything.
Framing her friend and exposing her to death - Well, Barriss' master knows something about abandoning others to die.
The red blades suit her - like any other Jedi during this era.
Barriss rightly says in her speech, "We" fell. She also speaks about herself. She sees herself as a product of the Jedi's downfall.
And that's the truth because Barriss followed Luminara's extremist logic.
In 3 points:
- Ignore emotions (ignore attachment to the Order and Ahsoka)
- Focus on realities (the Jedi Order is a broken and evil institution)
- Fight evil at any cost (I will sacrifice everything to prove my point)
Barriss, like Luminara, cannot let go, and that is perhaps the greatest tragedy of this character. She wants to be good. But wanting doesn't mean she is or will be.
She is bad person, but she tried to do something bad for the greater good, so she's lost her hope when all she saw is endless war and Jedi in the center of it. That made her do desperate things in order to change something on a bigger scale, but she couldn't stop the war. But there is still goodness in her, she could have second thoughts and will probably question the Empire's course of action, or inquisitor's methods of hunting down and killing Jedi padawans. Eventually she will regret her past actions and try to leave the Inquisitorius, but probably she'll get herself killed (or successfully escape with a bounty on her head). She was right about the Jedi though. They are peacemakers and should NOT have been involved. They did lost their way. And that was their undoing.
well, she already harbored negative sentiments towards the jedi so it probably wasn't that difficult to convince her
well it’s weird because she was against the republic and jedi who were corrupt, but the ultimate form of that corruption is the empire who are the very people who are setting barris free. it’s weird this must be the lie they tell to everyday ppl to win them over “the republic was corrupt right? well you’ll love the empire!”
She thought she was, in truth she was still a Jedi. She didn’t understand herself better or who she is because she manipulated herself during the clone wars
Barass might play along but the moment she figures out that Vader is Anakin and he carried out operation night fall she's dead.
vader doesnt do anything hes just there to look cool
Nice to see The 4th Sister actually do someone and not be a background character. *cough, cough, KENOBI SHOW!*
I don't think you meant it but "do someone" is a... curious choice of word
@CipherRage-tp5ql "here's a child for you to mentor... OH MY! WHAT THE H###!"
4th Sister: Join us, Barris and together we will rid the galaxy of the Jedi scourge.
Barriss Offee: Okay (Proceeds to join the Inquisitorius)
Darth Vader: Did 4th Sister tell you that their is no days off, you will be drowning in paperwork, pay is mediocre, failure will have lethal consequences and you'll be working with a cadre of government sanctioned sociopaths that would kill you just as easily as they would a Jedi.
Barriss Offee: (Pikachu Face)
Vader: No? Good she did well, welcome to the Inquisitorius my young victim.
Omg XD

The Jedi did try to overthrow Palpatine, and Mace did try to kill him. No gaslighting needed.
Yeah but also missing a lot of details.
He did stay longer in office, then after the jedi's attack he reorganised the Republic in a dictatorship.
Lie by omission.
Did you watch ep3?😂
The Jedi truly wanted palpatine to return his emergency powers back to the senate. Go re watch episode 3. Jedi were very concerned with palpatines emergency powers. Once the jedi learned that palpatine was a sith. They realized that palpatine won't give up his power. Sidious predicted the jedi would attack him and able to use this to accuse the jedi of treason. The Sith planned this moment for many years. Remember palpatine planned this to execute the grand plan in which he had suceeded.
The jedi never stood a chance@@AhsokaTano1999
I would love for Barris to have an ending like maul had with obi-wan, a reunion, a rivalry but then in the end the Realisation that they were on the same team and hope for revenge for both barris and ahsoka
And Ahsoka,
Barris,
Maul,
Qui-ra (I hope it’s okay written by me),
Dooku,
Grievous,
Gunrey (although he deserved death),
and most of all victims… Anakin/Vader
will have they revenge (by the will of the Force - Anakin killing Emperor Palpatine).
SPOILERS I’ve just watched it the entire series and wow. Barrris has become one of my favourite Jedi!!! She had grown so wise by the last episode - and in a way it is giving an old obi wan and ahsoka. I love her growth because she has seen what it is like from both sides.
@@Demi2515Honestly I was a bit disappointed. I feel like they really gave her the boba treatment. Not long ago she was an extremist who committed murders and blamed her friend for it. Then she immediately goes back to being a Jedi. Honestly I would have preferred her stay as an Inquisitor and balance the relationship between being a good person and being a part of the empire.
@@tomb2923 Yeah, it was clearly a retcon that her training didn’t include any brainwashing or torture of any kind to ensure that she was committed to the dark side. It was made really clear that the inquisitors were subject to very harsh treatment and like Yoda said, you cant just switch around from Jedi, to Sith and whatnot.
We don’t see the Inquisitors by A New Hope. It’d be badass/cold if Bariss was the one that ended the Inquistors. Vader could do most of the work, because he doesn’t “suffer rivals”. While Bariss kills and dismantled the order, so Palpatine had every reason not to make any more. Her being becoming an anti-hero that is the reason the Inquisitors don’t exist by A New Hope, would be incredible. Her motive for doing this? She ends up hating both Jedi and Sith. But she hates the Empire more. She claims it’s for revenge, but in her dying breath, she admits to Ashoka that she knew she couldn’t take down the Empire, let alone Vader and Palpatine. So she chose to, “take one of the Empire’s fingers”.
It’s possible the 4th sister isn’t deceiving Barris but she herself actually believes what she is saying, remember that scene in ep 3 when Mace Windu storms Paltaptomes office and threatens him? Turns out Palpatine was recording it and he showed it to the galaxy, making it look like he was just an innocent man about to be killed by the Jedi. This deception caused the galaxy to support The New Empire. It’s possible the Inquisitors “speci ally the 4th sister in this scene” believes this as well.
Most of the Emperials who were born after order 66 were even told bed time stories and legends about how the Jedi were evil and have theses super powers etc and had no idea what a Sith was nor that their Emperor was force sensitive. This is revealed in the Story Mode of battle front 2 when Luke saves one of the members from Inferno Squad.
Officially confirmed Barriss is not the Seventh Sister! Plus I am wondering what will become of Lyn now.
Long live the Empire.
😬✊ long live the rebellion
My kind of words.
Just over 2 decades 😅
"Crazy to see"
I take it you didn't read "Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade"?
Is it good ?
I was thinking about buying it
I enjoyed it. I got it as part of a free trial of Audible. It's certainly a better experience than Jedi: Battle Scars. More well-written, and the tone is mostly consistent throughout. One major criticism I keep seeing is that the main character, Iskat, is unlikeable, but the thing to remember is that this is a villain origin story, and that Iskat first appeared in the Darth Vader comics of 2017, so they had to build towards that version of her, as little as there was to work with.
I liked it because I really enjoy The Inquisitors (as incompetent as they are), and I've always had a thing for side characters.
I can't really say too much more without going into deep spoiler territory, so I'll leave it at that. If you decide to pick it up, I hope you enjoy it!
@@BladeCrossEXEAny book is better than Battle Scars, but yeah I really liked Rise of the Red Blade. It reminded me of the Revenge of the Sith novelization where you have a character slowly but naturally turn into the villain we know they’ll become. Favorite SW book I’ve read recently.
@@BladeCrossEXE I didn’t find her that unlikable at least compared to a lot of modern day Star Wars protagonists at least she had a personality
I found her likable in her own way. My take on her, while she was in the Jedi Order, was "Gifted Kid stifled by the school because the establishment doesn't want to upset all the other students." Maybe an over-simplification, but that's what if felt like to me. Her frustration was understandable. It doesn't justify the evil deeds she did as an Inquisitor, but it makes sense in hindsight.
Not evil?!? Definitely rewatch her Season 5 arc from the beginning - she does...a lot.
Yeah they softened her up in this. She was definitely insane in clone wars
I just watched tales of the jedi and man if u ignore the bombing of the temple she becomes a pretty wise jedi
also kinda like how her “death” was left as a cliffhanger right at the end so it’s up for interpretation if she survived or not
She tried to explode the jedi temple and suddenly she switches up💀kinda mid
Not to mention the way she did it was crazy asf. I think they’re forgetting their own writing
Barriss is now the messiest character in star wars
She became a terrorist killing innocent people but all of a sudden she cares but killing people like what???
It felt like they felt like they needed to wrap her story up and weren't really interested in doing so and this was the result
❗SPOILER❗
You were absolutely right, the dark side didn't suit her and she knew it
I overall enjoyed the first two Morgan episodes and the first Barriss episode, the rest was just alright for me personally
True. Both were cool but the storytelling for Morgan was better!
Just watched it all the first hour it came on Disney+ and these people really put that whole they/them nonsense in it. Couldn't believe it when I heard them call a brother with dreadlocks they/them. I had to watch that scene in the different languages I understand and go back to English to make sure I actually heard what I just heard. I legit thought there are multiple Jedi and I was so confused when they kept talking they and them, like bruh... who is them, who else is there, I was so confused. Then I realized what they've done and I had to go full Kowalski Analysis to understand.
I’m sorry but this just makes you sound like an idiot and not what ever you were trying to sound like
what are you yapping on about?
@@f-86zoomer37 The scene when they called a dude they/them for no reason. It confused me, because I thought there are multiple Jedi until I realized it's another one of those games.

I love how dark Star Wars has become since Revenge of the Sith
If you used your brain, all of star wars before Disney has been dark. You just need to think about it and use imagination.
@@Amp661 What makes you think that I have a brain?
@@Alex-ng6hc because the entire 6 episodes are dark in some way:war (obviously), slavery, assassination, intimidation, drug use, organized crime, cloning (form of slavery), despotism, political corruption, espionage, black magic, conscription, beheading, severing of limbs, corruption, killing of children and innocents of millions.
Yeah, think about it.
@@Amp661exactly, Like Clone Wars was dark
@@Alex-ng6hcDark takes it up the court, Dark makes a pass to Dark who is wide open, Dark shoots….and…. misses the shot. Dark just could not win because somehow the light has returned. This was way too optimistic for me. Spent all that time developing her reason to attack the Republic (thus the Jed) and become a major terrorist in the clone wars, just for it to be all undone. Terrible perspective.
Make The Galaxy Great Again
More like "Yo Barriss the Empire is pretty chill you should like join it or something so I feel less alone"
I wonder what Vader’s reaction would be when he sees Barris
My likely guess is mixed feelings, because Vader betrayed the Jedi and, as a result, suffered even worse than Bariss did, even though she was the reason Ahsoka left the Jedi Order.
She was evil. The stuff she did in Season 5 was super evil. I know people were pissed that it undid her original canon ending where she learned force healing and all that. Filoni probably wanted to bring her back to that point, but I don’t think you can do that with all the stuff she did. I hate how the Jedi get away with despicable things simply because they repent later. No, they need to pay for their crimes
Agreed!!! Also don’t leave every story with a thread to return for more stories. The bad batch ending was amazing for me, but we didn’t need to see more with Omega leaving. We understood there was a chance with Echo going on to help Rex (maybe Cody?!?!). Same here with having the ambiguity of Barris being alive or not. Plus I don’t get why she wasn’t killed on the spot. The troopers went after rex and Ahsoka right away even though she was no longer a Jedi. Just small holes like that get to me. It didn’t feel like Barris was special enough to earn a save from Sidious or The Grand Inquisitor, even with them being at her trial.
What's messed up is the writing. She bombs the Jedi Temple, frames her best friend, kills a load of innocent people, even capable of using force choke, yet decides to get a heart as an inquisitor and become some in tune force monk archetype. What an odd 180 to make in such a short period of time. Maybe if we saw her regretting her previous actions, but no sign of that.
None at all🤣🤣
well i mean it either that or she gets killed by the clones
Can’t wait to see if Barris seeing darth Vader/ anakin skywalker
Barriss' character was always pretty stupid.
Tell me you didn’t watch any of the start wars movies or TV shows without telling me😭😭
He doesn’t wtf he talking about😂
Just a reminder slipping into the Darkside isn’t necessarily synonymous with becoming a Sith. Jedi is still a principle people hold dear.
For those familiar with the lore on the Inquisitors, aren't Inquisitors subjected to brainwashing and torture, so they have no memory of their former lives as Jedi? How exactly does the conversion from Jedi to Inquisitor work?
not all some join willingly (fifth brother)

I do hope that Barriss and ahsoka reunite in this series
Edit: just finished watching the series 10/10 like the last one and i must say i enjoyed both of them so much i thought both stories told each of the characters story perfect and it was so nice to see what became of Barriss after The Clone wars and also finally see the Fourth Sister/ lyn get some spotlight, now one minor complaint that i have is Morgan's story doesn't really explain much of how and why she aligned with the empire on the first place, it sorta just time skipped from the Clone wars to The Empire to then The New Republic, other then that though wonderful series as ever
Didn't happen
@@xUseTheForks Okay, no spoilers please i don't have the episodes yet
I finally finished this new set lf episodes and am shocked, what a fitting conclusion for Barriss story, she survived longer then any other Jedi from the order and became someone who could help people a different way
It even actually humanizes the Inquisitors more because Lyn picks her up in sorrow
I still wish we would have gotten to see the two of them reunite but what we got was still incredible and heartrenching
Kudos Filoni
This show will be amazing. We need more dark topics like these.
This reminds me of the Avengers moment where Thor is vouching for Loki’s leniency, and Black Widow immediately points out his precise crimes.
Bariss orchestrated the bombing of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, which resulted in the deaths of multiple Jedi and civilians.
Additionally, she framed her fellow Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, for the crime. Offee’s actions were already driven by her very own disillusionment with the Jedi Order’s involvement in the Clone Wars and their perceived hypocrisy.
If anything, the Empires explanation just catered to her confirmation bias.
But you also have a point I agree with; how it’s all playing out for the sake of the immersion of the narrative, it is pretty messed up and a form of gaslighting and shows just how manipulative the empire is, even after winning and leaving little room for resistance for almost 2 decades.
It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out regardless.
I have a feeling that one day we will see Ahsoka fight Bariss in a tragic battle since the two wwre old friends. If she was horrified when she learned Anakin fell to the Dark Side wait until she sees her former friend fully succum into what she was becoming.
I thought Barriss’ side of things was awesome. It didn’t deviate much, was happy to see her back on the right side of things.
so baris offie is not the seventh sister or is it second
Definitely 7th sister your referring too because the 2nd Sister is Trilla from Jedi Fallen Order Game.

We don’t see the Inquistors by A New Hope. It’d be cool if Bariss becomes an anti-hero. If she was the reason we see no Inquistors by A New Hope? Still rejecting the Jedi, but not fully submitting to the Dark side or Empire. Her being the reason we don’t see the Inquistors around by A New Hope. Bariss dies after she’s ensured the Inquistors stay gone after she’s killed them all. Only to claim it was for revenge. But, dying, finally admits to Ashoka, she did it so the Chosen One, could avenge them. Saying: “I know I couldn’t kill Vader or Palpatine. But I could cut off a finger by ending the Inquistors”. She then gives Ashoka the recorded final steps of her plans to ensure the Inquistors stay gone, and no more force sensitives become new Inquistors. Redeeming herself, as Ventress once did.
Why did her hair change so much?
I would like to know the time frame? As one minute we are given the impression she is seeing the events of order 66 unfolding and then the fourth sister comes about all of a sudden and she was a jedi? What I dont get about the inquisitors is that they where made to hunt jedi (so how powerful are they really?), when/how where they made into inquisitors exactly and why did they not die during the purge? What was sidious doing at this point (sitting down all the time, he just seemed to have taken a major backseat now)? Do we actually see an inquisitor kill or arrest a jedi? There are so many questions about them and the last one is why did they all die just before the events of a New Hope? What exactly was the point of them? They where like powerless hunters with spinning lightsabers....... We then ask the question of the rule of TWO!!! A master and Apprentice, so why did they have force wielders toiling in the dark side to be around? Sort of defeats Darth Banes rule of Two. Grand Inquisitor.....we need to have seen these as Jedi and how they got to where they are.
Seeing Barriss's TCW Season 5 design right next to this new crossdresser design makes the latter look even worse...
I haven't finished watching all episodes yet, I'll make a judgement about it after I do....

Why are lightsaber wounds so easily survivable now that Disney has taken over??
Messed up? And I thought it was supposed to be good.
Star Wars to have breathtaking stories again need to start new. Combing through the character lists just dont result in greater things. You need to start backwards way way back.

Star Wars tales of the clone should be valid
I think we're much more likely to get "Tales of the Resistance" as to round out the different eras as the first was set before and around the prequel era, the second was set before and around the original era and so i wouldn't be surprised to see that continue on to the sequel era
