Ad’s not taken for granted, he’s purposely devalued by Lebron fans so they could glaze Lebron as the only one carrying the team. AD’s been phenomenal ever since he came to the Lakers and people have just been brainwashed that he’s not. He’s even the clear FMVP in the bubble. AD impacts the game on defensively more that any player in the NBA and he is still giving you 31 pts a night but he’s not the best player on the court. He’s tired in the second half and it’s not a secret because he’s asked to hold up the entire defense and get buckets, and explain to me why it matters if he gets 30 throughout the game, in the beginning, or at the end. I really hope the Lakers can adjust to Denver's adjustments.
AD has been amazing, LeBron is obviously LeBron but we need our supporting cast to play better like game 4. Dlo needs 15+, Austin needs 15+ and Rui needs to play better. With the right coach, we probably would be up 3-1 right now. We lead the first half but have meltdowns at the third and we lose.
We just need good box out/ rebounding that is the key as Denver capitalizes on these mistakes

Stats-wise AD is having arguably his best season this year, which I hope he keeps up although I feel there was more hunger during the bubble run from never having won a chip before. I hope he dominates the boards again to limit denver's second chances. The main gripe I have with him is the number of times he always hits the deck on offence with no call/bucket, which leads to 5v4 the other way and the other team scoring (often a 3). Lebron is also often guilty of not running back or not rotating to close out, leaving Rui often to (unfairly) play catch between two opponents. I wish there was a stat counter for points given up cuz you fell down on offense with no call, since it is often the trigger for a momentum swing - helping teams come back from double digits down (i.e. the lakers first 3 games)

They’ve only won because we stopped running organized O and haven’t finished possessions by securing the boards. Without 10-15 extra looks, they’ll lose by multiple possessions. I think game 5 will be different. I expect Denver to come out much stronger, try to put Lakers down early. I would not be surprised to see Denver jump out to a 20-4 lead... Lakers will need to keep their head up and return the favor of making a big comeback win.
AD has been great this season and more so against the nuggets. He and bron need to keep playing how they are but put a little more effort towards D and rebounding. But imo the key to winning these games is for the rest of the cast to step up. AD and Bron get tired towards the end of the 3rd and into the 4th, so we need our young guys to score and defend down the stretch.
Lebron knows how to spot caliber players. Thats why he has so much trust in him
I think if AD got another big next to him he could get a DPOY or even potentially an MVP with how impactful he is when he is healthy, enabled by schemes, and is in his demon mode

AR and DLo shot right around 50% and scored twenty. That will be hard to replicate but in this series we need that for every game. I’m not sure I’m willing to count on that. Not to mention I need Prince to keep playing like he is playing. It would be nice if just one other could get 12 or so points efficiently.

Easier said than done
The Lakers just need to speed up the pace. They play better when the pace is faster. Rotate players as they need rest, but keep the pace up. Denver likes to slow the game down, especially in the 4th quarter. That allows the Joker to sit back and pick you apart.
I just thought about this. It’s funny how the nuggets have been getting blown out in each game in the first half and nobody is talking about that. If it was the Lakers and the situation was flipped, that’ll be the headline, “can the lakers win since they get blown out in the 1st half. Are they true contenders”. I see flaws in Denver compared to last year. Just a observation tho
