My REVIEW & REACTION of the *New* ULTRA-HOT, PEPPER X Hot Sauce: "The Last Dab Xperience"

- With the news of the new *World's Hottest Pepper* Pepper X, I got my hands on 2 bottles of Hot Ones - "The Last Dab Xperience" Hot Sauce! Watch me as I try it for the first time and give an HONEST reaction and review.
When people try a hot sauce this guy sets standards of coverage for the sauce, a lot of people would just put a mediocre amount(but for beginners please be safe), unlike him he just put the amount like you'd expect a nice Buffalo wing to be covered in sauce.
Also please remember to try not panic with spicy food and make sure you have proper breathing techniques. If you don't have those it will amplify the affects dramatically

I picked up a bottle of this sauce at World Market and I actually really like it. It's blazing hot, sure, but it's got a flavor profile like nothing else. It's delicious, I put it on every chicken sandwich I make.
Have to remember that 2.63 SHU is fairly dissipated in a sauce. Until Ed allows access for everyone, sauces is all we will have. Glad the sauce itself tastes good. Heat is not fun without good flavour. Great video man
Great point. I couldn't agree more. The bottle is advertised at 91% pepper X. So I'd imagine the actual SHU in the bottle is realistically around 1.8m - 2.3m considering the dilution. It felt like that range. 😎

@@jays_mazdaspeed3the cost of the sauce is the real killer for me. I wish they had this sauce that wasn't branded with Hot Ones since that's where most of the mark up is coming from (that and they have a literal monopoly on the pepper).
I'd rather buy an entire jar of reaper or ghost powder and make several bottles of supercharged franks.
It's just not practical for everyday use.
I'm glad you said it has flavor, I'm all for eqaring crazy hot stuff. But I'm only going to do it if it also taste good.

Great review, made me subscribe your channel! Is this spicier than Fiery Fool or Fear This? They had great flavor, yet the heat never really climbed like fresh peppers or homemade reaper sauces in my experience 🔥

I loved the flavor for sure! Its not as hot as I expected but it definitely has some heat. I don't think I would spend $28 on it again. In conclusion, great sauce but over priced.

Although it has really good flavor, i was underwhelmed with the heat. Was hoping to at least get a good 7 out of 10, but instead it was a 1 maybe maybe a 2 out of 10 if i pour half the bottle. Too pricy for the lack of heat. To be honest Tabasco scorpion sauce has more heat than this and has also great flavor.
How hot would you say this sauce is? Anything to compare it to? I generally make and use my own hab+reaper hot sauce as I find most store bought sauces not hot enough and too vinegary.

I honestly thought it would be even hotter than it is but it’s plenty hot and has the best flavor of any super hot that I’ve ever had. Definitely my new favorite sauce!

Thank you! Yeah, the pepper cramps/pain is some of the most brutal pain I've ever experienced. Eating enough of the sauce can have and has had the same effect on me as eating a fresh Carolina reaper. Milk is important to have on hand. Seriously, the mouth pain/burn is nothing... The gut pain, however is brutal enough to make you consider going to the hospital.
It's crazy watching the real chili heads eat this stuff. You should do a review on "gator hot sauce" from puckerbutt (if they still sell it). It's pepper x mash, and reaper powder. I have it but I'm not ready to try it yet 😂.

I'm a chili head myself and my general go-to is Mad Dog 357 (made with 6M Scoville pepper extract) or Elijah's Xtreme Regret Reserve -- definitely gotta try this sauce out though! Do you sell your Carolina reaper sauce you've made? I'd love to try that if so.
Much appreciated! I'm a big fan of the natural sauces and tend to stay away from extracts, though I'm always up for trying them. In fact my brother got me "the end" flatline hot sauce and it's just sitting in my fridge. Perhaps I should do a video on that.

What I would like to know is why, if the sauce is over 90% pure pepper X material, and the pepper X is a mustard pod, why the color of the sauce is soo red? Does it say anything about having red wine vinegar or something in it to cause a red color?
It's not a mustard color. :) The pepper does become red as it matures. The younger ones, as seen in the hot ones episode, are yellow. Chili Klaus even commented on the fact they weren't mature, when Ed said he wasn't going to hurt him, lol.

I got to try this. Two of the hottest, non extract sauces I've had are Trinidad and Chocolate Plague.
I'm all about the non-extract sauces! If you can handle those 2, I think you'll enjoy this!

I have! I had a couple bottles of it back in 2019. I see they have a hotter version of it too.. might just have to buy it again and make another review!
I’ve tried gator pepper x is hot but it’s amazing flavor texture and in my opinion way better then Carolina reaper bitter taste

I have this hot sauce, and it doesn’t taste fruity, nor floral. It has a vinegar taste, but it is hot, but unfortunately, some have sent a bottle to a lab for scoville analysis, and it came back as only having 61,000 plus units of heat. Even Ed Curry admitted that if it was actually 2.4 million, the average person couldn’t take that much heat. You be the judge, but for me, I wouldn’t be able to do what these people do with the sauce on their videos. A half of a teaspoon mixed with spaghetti sauce is enough of a 3 alarm fire for my pallet.

Johnny scoville had this sauce tested at a few different labs and it's only 61,000 scoville heat units not 2.6 million. A normal person could probably drink the bottle.

The newest version of the Last dab is only around 50,000 scoville's lab tested it has little heat and it's a scam save your money.

I know what you mean! ..though I don't really get affected like that anymore unless I consume about 1/3 to 1/2 of a bottle of ultra hot sauce. I don't get heartburn at all. But my intestines will feel like someone is slowly driving a fiery broadsword through my guts. Real pain. The kind that makes me question everything. Body sweats. I'll chug some milk and be good as new in 5 -10 minutes when that happens. Ed Curry talks about that as the cramps.
Johnny Scoville has sent a bottle to be tested at a lab to see if the 91% pure pepper x per bottle claim is accurate. Johnny drank the entire bottle and wasn’t phased at all.
I think he'll find it's nowhere close to the claimed 2.63. that being said, it's still very hot. I'd still fear the intestinal pain of consuming that amount of sauce.. not something I would risk doing to myself.

This doesn't look right. If it was 2.5 million SHU, you would not be able to stand it. I think the latest Last Dab Sauce is mis-advertised.
It's not what it's supposed to be, Johnny Scoville sent it in 2Xs to bet tested...came back at 69K and 71K SHU! Smoke and mirrors! Lol

I've done this in the past when I flavor is not desirable and I don't want to my money wasted... Mix in some Melinda's Hot Sauce. it will elevate the flavor
