The haptic feedback used to be a battery eater on an android phone I used to have. Going to try it out though and see how it does on the iPhone. I love this 2000 nit display , I use my iPhone for the camera feed when I fly my drones, it is simply fabulous for that task now.
These videos are so professional! I really wish Apple would add a third always-on option that was just the text/numbers/widgets....no low-brightness background. But I guess they want to stand out from Android devices. I really like the always-on display that the Pixel 3XL had -- if you used their live wallpapers, parts of the wallpaper would glow, but it was still mostly black.
if you turn on "Dim Lock Screen" for a certain focus, then the Always On display will completely turn off your lock screen, leaving only the widgets and time. Hope this helps!

These are great tips, a couple of them were useful for me even though I have a 13 mini. I definitely want that “Siri hang up” feature.

I’ve had the 14 pro for a few days now and I must say it’s a hell of a phone, the cameras are just unbelievable I’m a photographer and the camera and the things I can do just top what I can do on an android, (don’t get me wrong I can get decent pictures on an android phone) but in some situations the iPhone beats it
Another tip for always on, configure your sleep focus to avoid screen staying on all night whilst charging etc
I haven’t had a pro phone since the 11. There is so much I don’t know how to do. I would love to see you do a video on the basics of how tos on the pros like the different cameras and how to make them do their special things and other stuff like that

BTW, I’ve heard that the Emergency SOS feature should be turned off for the baddest rides at amusement parks; sometimes as many as a dozen false calls to 911 can be attributed to this phone and feature.

I do have a question though. Is there any way to set the phone so that I can automatically connect the EarPods Max to my iPad but not automatically connect or change connection to the iPhone?Surely there must be a way, but I haven't figured out how to make it work.

I’m enjoying mine so far. Yea I could have kept the 13 Pro Max but I got a grand for it so why not. I find the battery life is getting better now that I’ve had the phone set up for a few days. I leave AOD on so far.

Hi Aaron - thanks so much for the video, very informative. I had a question about 'Action Mode' - when I turn this on it only gives me the option of shooting in 2.8K or HD, not 4K. I've definitely changed all the settings you recommended under 'camera'. Thanks!
I think maybe because you were explaining about 'Action Mode' without it being turned on, it gave you the option of 4K but this is not an option when AM is on.
I had the same issue. Action mode on does not let me choose 4K.

Coming from the 12PM, the 14PM has enough upgrades to make the update justifiable. However, I can see why the 13ers are not too stoked about the 14 Pros. I'm loving my deep purple 14PM 512GB! 😁

best thing for night sections is reduce white point, i have shortcut for it, what it does is reduce the light it displays further than 0 on brightness i usually keep it on 70-75% reduction i can see content fine but will be difficult to read

For me, to change the brightness I use triple tap on my iPhone.
Settings - Accessibility - Zoom - select ON - triple tap on the screen - Zoom out. Now your low light triple tap is set up on your iPhone and to activate low light at any time - triple tap - select Choose filter and then Low light.
Took me an while for "set up" but love this option.
Battery Percentage is not available on the iPhone 13 Mini with iOS 16. I heard it may be available when the next update rolls out. 😔
