I love how each line is presented as a question or exclamation. So many people just sing words without thinking about what the song is saying. As an American, our National Anthem actually ends in a question that seems to escape most people. Basically it asks if our country still survives. I fear for my country that the answer to that question may one day be "no." Jerusalem is a hymn that has lasted and God willing will last forever because of the spirit of Great Britain!
Chills and tears from the USA, suffering its greatest decay and metastatic moral turpitude. God help us. Hard to believe one man could destroy this country from within, and CULT-ivate innumerable minions. 2024 will be the end of the USA.
I love his hymn. As long as British people sing Jerusalem, the woke Church of England shall make no inroads among the sincerely religious. This news - woke inroads - from Douglas Murray in the current Spectator. Give me Jerusalem, my favorite hymn. And I'm Jewish!
Luckily, the organist knew this, so kept the organ volume to about 40% of the total volume available. Tuba Magna not drawn, Trompette Militaire not drawn, I don't think even the ordinary Tubas were bothered in the making of this recording.
In Flanders Fields By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army In Flanders Fields the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
I don't do nationalism or religion ....but how is this not the national anthem of England compared to what we'll hear getting played at the world cup in a few weeks.
It's a reference to Christ returning to earth and it's in the Industrial revolution era , thus Christ does away with the factories ( satanic mills ) and forms a new kingdom of heaven in it's place.
Turn organ on, press shutter pedal fully open, have shutters wide open, select your stops that includes trumpets, then place both arms on manuals, press down firmly. Not only will that clean the roof, but also rid the bats in the belfry. Just the sound will jumpstart the heart. 😆
Good music but the words are about revisionist history. Jesus never walked in England and you killed the ministers of the original church . How about a song about that.
Get over it Tina, the words were a poem by Milton then set to music...The meaning is how blessed England is and gratitude . Same as My Country tis of Thee... or Oh beautiful for spacious skys and amber waves of grain...Songs of Thanksgiving. Revisionist my ass...pa-leeeeeze
A Dutch congregation of that size would put even the great organ of Liverpool Cathedral to the test.
Beautiful sound of organ and orchestra. Listening to the people sing is comforting to the soul.
How utterly splendid !
Not only the music and organ are beautiful, but the people in the congregation in how they put their heart into this hymn as they sing!
Part for the camera and part from the heart.

The Trompette Militaire stop would completely rown the brass section and congregation!

Canadian Army
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
OMG WWI was such a misguided waste and such loss.
There. Take that fuckin praise band!
There is a tradition that St Joseph of Aramethia was Jesus' uncle and tin trader, and as a lad went with him to Britain.
Sweet lie!😂
ian tracey poss on the organ
very nice
Oof that height at the end of the video 😓 It gives me nightmares. The camera angle looks like someone is leaning over the banister like crazy 😂
I'm sure it was a drone. They can get those vertigo-inducing shots without a person endangering themselves.
will it be England s.own national anthem?
I would certainly like it to be England's National Anthem.
You're on the left or right at 1:44?
What a pity that most of people there are old. I can't see any young praying here...
I see a handful of them...
So what?
Are you here to listen? Or at a bar. So tired of the age thing and those who discriminate.
I don't do nationalism or religion ....but how is this not the national anthem of England compared to what we'll hear getting played at the world cup in a few weeks.
And that is precisely why Europe is becoming a caliphate. Wake the fuck up, soy boy, and grow a pair of CHRISTIAN BALLS!
Odd lyrics I always thought as a nipper but cATchy

Thankyou Micheal

It doesn't say he did; it asks a question (four in fact). It's metaphorical anyway.
