east is arguably the coldest ability i've EVER seen in a shounen anime, the flames all disappearing into a single blade made it so subtle and calm yet so threatening, east is the coldest ability out of the four directions IMO

When all flames, smoke, and water evaporated into nothing at just release of his bankai and camera zoomed in on his charred sword and this track plays....even if you read manga...you couldnt help but whisper, "fuck"
even though the fight wasnt super long, the adaptation to anime did so much justice to it

Zanka no Tachi East is absolutely amazing I love both it and West the most. The contrast between those 2 forms is insane, it's also insane that Yamamoto gave a zampakto roughly 5 capabilities. My man had the illest Shikai in the entire series from what I know as an anime only, and his Bankai only made it cooler/even more impressive.

I think the old man kept himself back this whole time as the nuclear option the scorched earth last resort. He knew the devastation he could cause and he sought to avoid that whenever possible. Let's face it he was like a nuke going off and the only way that bastard stood even half a chance in hell was to take the ability for himself but since the prick didn't know how to use it I'm shocked he was able to use the captain commander's bankai against him at all... also why when the captains all knew they could have it taken did they not decide which bankai to sacrifice to test the theory? I would have gone for sui feng since she never uses hers and would be the least hindered from its loss.
I wonder if Yamamoto could have combined two Zanka No Tachi's together. What I mean is that if the Zanka No Tachi abilities are named after cardinal directions then could he have combined two of them to form an even stronger ability. For example combining North and East to form Zanka No Tachi Northeast or South and West to form Zanka No Tachi Southwest.

I still don't know why they decided to use that Windows speakers test sound when Yama released his Bankai. Also always imagined this moment with some kind of epic music like Nnoitra's release with Treachery ost. Though that eerie music later is kinda cool.
