Simla conference June/July 1972

Amateur footage of Z.A. Bhutto's journey to Simla (Shimla) in June 1972 and the agreement signed on July 2 by him and Indira Gandhi. There is no audio. Scenes include ZAB's rally (in Islamabad) before his departure, arrival and transfer to a helicopter in Chandigarh, Mrs Gandhi's chat with Pakistani journalists, ZAB's press conference, the signing ceremony, ZAB's return via Chandigarh, and an arrival rally in Lahore. Among those pictured are a teenage Benazir, NWFP governor Arbab Sikadar Khan Khalil and Punjab chief minister Meraj Khalid.
