Quite a job! Compacting is a must. At least you know the buried drain piping is sturdy.

Right??? So many trucks drove over the culvert and no collapse. Whew!

Well, we wait now for the soil to settle. May be a year or more before we build. Do you have to raise the elevation on any land you have?

Yes you should get a roller to compact before footings are built unless you going to wait years for it to settle. But if you building knock homes there get them to make the pylons deeper to the original soil

I am pretty sure we will dig down to the original soil for the footings to sit. This is what was done with any other home we have built. I definitely do not want the foundation to crack.

Since this is Thailand and they love motored vehicles (as noted by @CBMedia404 ) I am sure someone already has the wheel adapter made, ready to ship! 🤣🤣🤣

It's about 1.5 tons per Cubic meter of soil. I know because combat engineers told me we count move soil with explosives. Well they were wrong ish.

That explains why the trucks tires sank so deep into the spongy dirt. Timestamp 9:33

Sold by volume. The land is 1 rai, 35 tarang wa. Just a long rectangle. We raised the land by 1.47 meters. Final cost, 215,000 baht. If we had stopped at 1 meter, it would have been 150,000 baht. Three different companies had the same rate. Your fees may vary.
