Awesome video... I'm a beginner for inline skating and when I try out squad positions, it's hard enough for me because my thighs feel a peculiar cramp. Is it normal?

Love your training tips. What skates do you wear?

Hi Rudi :) Thanks! I’m happy to help out! I have recently switched to Simmons Stock boots after many years on different custom skates. I find them to provide good ankle support and an efficient power transfer without limiting the mobility. You can read a whole lot more about them and order a pair if you’re interested on my webshop topskate.dk/en/collections/boots/products/simmons-dash

How can you stand in that position for longer than a minute? My ass starts to burn, am I doing something wrong?

Key is to do it very very often for a whole career ;)

Very good and simple tutorial, thanks... Just looking at your position already gives me quads and back pain...This position isn't comfortable at all; i don't get how you guys stay like this for dozens of minutes non-stop. Also, on your background picture with some other skaters, you guys aren't as low as you present in this video

sighange In general we try and exaggerate the position for dryland/offskate exercises just a little. If one sets out to do a marathon on inlines or a 10.000m tt on ice, it’s more convenient to stand a bit higher ;)

Pretty impossible for someone with short achilles tendon...
