I'm from Bremen, Northern Germany and i actually have to pay 65€ for electricity now, but it just got cheaper, i think it was 95€ before, and internet is also around 50-60€, so i was also quite confused at first because i also thought they were talking about the US, and that sounded quite cheap for me since the wages in the US seem to be waaay higher than what we get here. People also get more in southern germany, but there the cost of live is also higher, thats why i mentioned the city/region i'm from.
Of course its also the same in the US, in big citys its always more expensive than living in a rural area.
But a big thing are also the rent costs, like i pay here 550€ for my 50qm appartment but in the US ist more like 1000-2000 dollars or more after all i heared, and a lot people can't even afford the smallest possible appartment even with working at 2 jobs.

I do not know how cold it can be in the Philippines, but in the Netherlands we had a temperature in 1963 of - 12 degrees celsius - 53 in fahrenheid, that is cold. It was for two weeks in a row. Greetings from Roelof from the Netherlands.
